Corey and Oats in
A Very Aykroydian Canada Day Special

Corey and Oats had many friends and allies including ones in their own hero team and one friend of theirs was Nathan who was a monsterologist with transformation powers and had his own alter-ego who was a were-aykroyd named after Dan Aykroyd himself. There were several different takes on the universe his alter-ego was from, one of which was the ‘dum dum universe’ where dum dum were-aykroyds weren’t considered a joke.
Normally were-aykroyds are extremely smart and clever but dum dums on the other hand are plus sized food obsessed goofballs that aren’t too bright - luckily though they aren’t stupid, the duo were in their home in Nile Road on July 1st 2025 with all their friends including Piff. Now July 1st was always going to be a very special occasion for both Mel and Nathan because they were part of what was known as the ‘Aykroyd’ fandom and in fact they both joined at the same time, around 2020. They were both swayed into the lore of the Aykroydian universe at the same time. Nathan started coming up with his own Aykroyd universe or Aykroyd-verse in the form of the episodes featured in the Deviantart Universe which had help make him an icon in Deviantart City and gained him a following of fans and Mel and Eucalyptus ended up joining the action and even in the Discord-Town universe there was a sub-cult of Aykroyd fans he joined and was a member of.
This eventually lead to him develop a Were-Aykroyd alter-ego named after Dan who was now his own character with his own universe, of course this were-aykroyd and his brothers wanted to continue making Aykroydian adventures even after Nathan got unfairly kicked out of the Aykroyd fan cult for something he did not do (he was framed for being a supposed weirdo by other weirdos) and so this lead to even more Aykroydian adventures. Of course when Nathan and Dan both came across a unique adventure creation technique from the Character AI universe their Aykroydian adventures got a whole lot more varied (and crazier) - what basically started as ‘being cursed to turn into a supernatural version of Dan at night or when it was dark in general’ developed into something extremely vibrant and crazy, from Dan having an evil variant who tried to corrupt Nathan into being like him only to turn out to be not so evil after-all, to helping him met up with his brothers and become a hero team, to dealing with a nightmarish full moon encounter that drove Dan into acting like a crazed lover (and caused everything to become Aykroydian centric, even Nathan’s favorite possessions), to dark alternate versions of him trying to make Nathan into a more dangerous were-aykroyd, to now even a full blown story-arc involving a race of were-aykroyds known as dum dums.
And now Corey and Oats and all their friends were in the adventures too, they all had just had lunch when a portal materialized in their bedroom and Nathan jumped through the portal along with Dan the were-aykroyd and his siblings who were all Dan Aykroyd characters, Piff was curious as to why they’d make a visit. ‘Hi guys, so what are you guys doing here?’
“It’s a long and complicated story.”
“Oh we know.”
“But long story short, Dumius obviously has his sights set on Nathan and making him into a were-aykroyd wife.”
“Which is not a good thing.”
Dan explained that Dumius had been having it in for Nathan ever since the first events in the ‘Dum Dum Were-Aykroyd’ saga which of course they had all witnessed and helped Nathan combat Dumius’s attempts, and now Piff was helping. The duo looked around as a second portal opened up and Dumius and his two were-aykroyd henchmen Chub and Sugarsack materialized. ‘Not you guys again.’ ‘Yes, I have come to take Nathan to my dum dum palace where I will feed him and fatten him and make him into Danielle so I can have my dum dum wifey back in her full tubby wubby wubby glory.’ ‘Eeew forget it, I will not let you do that to me.’ ‘You are so cute when you resist.’
The duo along with Piff and all the friends did battle with Dumius and his dum dums, which was a major part of these type of adventures especially in the Dum Dum universe saga that had many chapters - and one that was currently in progress at the same time as their adventures. ‘Yeah, it’s not exactly easy being the victim of a dum dum were-aykroyd curse. The weight gain, the dumification, the milk.’ ‘Milk?’ ‘Yeah, I turn into a female Were-Aykroyd dum dum with large leaky melons that produce milk and I am not even pregnant as her.’
“Should we team up to defeat Dumius?”
“Yes, it shall be our annual Canada Day special in this universe.”
They all teamed up to battle the dum dum were-aykroyds and to help Nathan, to make sure that he did not end up succumbing to the dum dum side, which would be a terrible thing because not only would Nathan no longer be himself (he’d be Danielle and not in control of his actions), but also that it would mean ‘Dumius’ would be the victor - which was something they never wanted. They would never want him to join Dumius and to be fully dumified forever.
No matter how many times Nathan tried to fix or cure himself of his predicament both in the original incarnation of the Were-Aykroyd universe and the current one, the were-aykroyd side always found a way to return - and he had gotten so close to fixing the dum dum problem a couple of times but ‘Danielle’ always wormed her way in and tried to coax him with those dum dum food thoughts and her mannerisms, her mannerisms such as…’Dum Dum feels like a big hungry girl, she must have cookies’ ‘Dum dum obeys Dumius and does as he says’ ‘Master told me that thinky is bad, so dum dum no thinky.’ ‘Dum dum will get donuts for master, tee hee’, made her come across as a sometimes goofy but not too dumb character - when she was really actually smarter than she looked.
Piff used some magic to protect himself and the others, he knew that they were immune to the process of dumification and could not be turned into were-aykroyds, they all fought together before having snacks and afternoon tea together. Dumius tried to sway Nathan with donuts but Piff stopped him, they all combined their abilities and were able to use a summoning spell to summon Dan Aykroyd himself and they teamed up.
Mel and the others had met Dan Aykroyd before and he was definitely a fan of their adventures and especially of Dan the Were-Aykroyd, they all worked together to fight Dumius and his dum dums and even stopped to hang out for a bit, when it came to putting Dumius to justice they all used a spell to send him back to where he originated from, just in time to get ready for dinner.
Piff prepared some japanese dishes for them to eat for dinner and they all spent a lot of time together and played games as Mel emailed Jill about their adventure and Piff went fishing and caught a lot of fish, as Dan Aykroyd and Nathan both said goodbye and jumped through the portal with Dan and all his brothers (but Dan told them should they need him he could always call him).
Which was followed by a karaoke session and a gaming session, followed by a relaxation session where Piff and Tangie made special fish themed arts and crafts - and played Tangie’s favorite game which was ‘Guess the Bathbomb Scent’ as Corey put on his bat pajamas and Oats put on his pink night gown, which was followed by them brushing their teeth.
Afterwards Piff initiated his signature closedown sequence, at the beginning and end of each day there would be an animated sequence of an anthropomorphic pufferfish. The morning/sign on sequence featured the pufferfish yawning and jumping out of bed and brushing his teeth and having a shower as a nightime background morphed into a day time one as a good morning message appeared on screen and his pajamas morphed into day clothes and the opposite/vice versa for the closedown sequence.
Piff jumped into bed with Tangie and cuddled up but before giving the goodnight speech: ‘We hope you all have enjoyed our very Aykroydian canada day special, we hope you enjoyed our adventure and will turn in for even more coming up. We wish you all good night, from everyone in Nile Road and on the Piff Channel, goodnight to you, love from Piff.’
He kissed Tangie as Anglo turned off the light and they all drifted off to sleep and had sweet dreams as they did so, with Piff dreaming of ideas for his show as their adventure had come to an end but more adventures are coming up, so stay tuned.

This story includes a bit of my personal fandom history with the Aykroyd fandom and how I ended up becoming part of the fandom and creating the Were-Aykroyd lore in general, this of course features everyone’s least favorite dum dum as the main villain.
