Glenn Shadix Tribute

Image
We Sing Day-O,  a Glenn Shadix tribute poem ------------------------------------------- This man was not that well known. But you most certainly know him. You most certainly know him well. As you all probably do. Dear ol Glenn. He was so full of life. A very bright and cheery soul. Underrated but talented. He was an interior designer. And the mayor of Halloween town. But he'll always be remembered. As who he was.. The great Glenn Shadix. On this day-o. We all say day-o! Because. Daylight come and Glenn has gone home. There was a lot to like about him. He was not only a good actor. But a photographer as well. And all around fun-loving guy. It was hard not to like him. After all..he was such a kind-man. With a terrific sense of humor. No wonder Tim Burton liked him. We all sing the Banana Boat song. On this day. To honor him. Because this song was played at his memorial. 5ft, 6'ft..7ft, 8ft - bunch. This is for the man who brought us Otho. And the Mayor of Halloweentown. A...

Top 15 Tim Burtonverse Characters

Hi there, Monstermaster13 here with another list. Love him or hate him, Tim Burton is one of the most brilliant directors ever to grace the earth. So to help get things prepped up for the spooky season of October here is my list of my top 15 Tim Burtonverse characters. 15. Vincent Malloy (Vincent) Vincent Malloy is a 7 year old boy, but he's no ordinary boy - while he is considerate ad nice - his dream is to be like Vincent Price. This young mad scientist to be and his pet dog Abercrombie act out horror movie scenes and he has big plans of turning Abercrombie into a horrible zombie. This short film moved me to tears and the ending was both frightening and sad at the same time. 14. Emily (Corpse Bride) I couldn't help but feel sorry for this poor girl, after all she had been left at the altar when she was alive and murdered and burried in her wedding dress. Plus even though she's dead, she still has feelings and if you break her heart she doesn't took kind...

Monstermaster13's response: Tim Burton article

Hello here, it is me monstermaster13 here. This time I am not doing a list or salute but rather a response to an article I read. The article in question is tittled 10 Examples Of Tim Burton Hating Fat People on the site Film School Rejects. The person who wrote this seems to think that Tim Burton hates overweight people, and as such made this statement: "Tim Burton is not a fan of the horizontally-challenged. That's the conclusion I reached from watching Frankenweenie, an otherwise very pleasant return to form for for the director. What isn't so pleasant is how every paunchy character — the mayor, the gym coach, and the chubby kid whose name doesn't matter — is cackled at by Burton and turned into a visual punch-line. Burton portrays these characters in a way that seems antithetical to how most people perceive him and his films… with a casual dash of mean-spiritedness. The one constant in Burton's films, aside from Johnny Depp obviously, is that he's alwa...

TftW: Young and Charmandered

Toby was a 14 year old boy at Carwarden High, he and his best friend Joseph used to have all sorts of wacky misadventures with their supernatural friend Russell-Juice. Russell-Juice was this character who was a combination of Beetlejuice and Russell Brand, he had been Toby's supernatural best pal since he was 8, but like with imaginary friends only he and Joseph could see him. Russell-Juice or RJ as he was often refered to as had Russell Brand's looks and voice including the hair but Beetlejuice's powers and personality as well as the same type of costume. Unfortunately Toby's mother had also heard about him and one night she decided to get rid of him by capturing him, in various different ways. Unfortunately he had to deal with bullies on occassion, all because he didn't want to grow up. One night he was in his room and he was rather sad because his mother had told him that it was time for him to give up his favorite childhood things, he was looking t...

A Tribute To Glenn Shadix

Hello i'm Monstermaster13 and welcome to another one of my tributes. I've paid tribute to two very well known big guys in showbiz who are unfortunately no longer with this - John Belushi and John Candy. And now i'm going to pay a tribute to another big guy, one that Tim Burton fans will definitely recognize by name and voice. Of course i'm talking about Glenn Shadix. For those not in the know, Glenn appeared in many movies and tv shows in the 80's and 90's but he's most known for playing the role of a certain interior designer and 'paranormal expert' in the hit movie Beetlejuice. The character of course is - Otho Fenlock or "Round Boy" as Beetlejuice calls him. And I admit he did brilliantly in this performance and easily my second favorite character in the film next to BJ himself and Lydia of course. Aside from this he also had several appearances in animated tv series and live action shows as well as appearing in several other films. ...
