Anthology Of Romance

Corey and Oats had numerous adventures including some that were very special episodes including ones about saying goodbye to a staff member and each year they’d have birthday specials, christmas specials, new years specials, halloween specials, and even valentines specials.

Of course this year there was going to be not one but two valentine's specials, and one of them was going to be extra special. The duo were in their home at Nile Road when they decided to set up the setting for this particular adventure, they set up a story corner using magic from the bedbox.

After breakfast they set the mood with ‘Piff’s Love Playlist’ a playlist Piff had made themed around love, he and Tangie sat down together and had morning tea before storytime began. Oats was the first to tell a romantic story, his was a genderbend retelling of the Last Unicorn where he played the male version of Amalthea who falls for a female version of Lir,  which was followed by Corey and Alcina’s turn to share a romantic story.

Their romantic story was a microbial romantic comedy, which was followed by Anglo the anglerfish’s romance story in which he and Augini helped the land of Squishville (where Squishmallows live)’s inhabitants after they were hit by a plague in which they were unable to feel love,  Aiyido the beholder told a romantic fantasy adventure in which he played a magician/wizard saving Delilah Deathray from a demon.

Which was followed by Aivyan the monster doing a funky musical story that used 70s music, and Mel making her own story about how she met her boyfriend Lithius.

But the most romantic story came from Piff, Piff and Tangie worked together to work on an aquatic love story which was a homage to ‘The Shape Of Water’,  titled..’The Shape Of Piff’, this story told the story of Tangie who was in the role of Eliza from the movie and Piff who was doing his own comedic take on the Amphibian Man from the movie, they swam around together in the story.

Piff also put in fun fish facts and included in a bathtub scene (which was not only fitting for him, but because there was one in the movie), as he narrated the story and told of how love can be for anyone and anything, even fish.  At the end of the story the two fish dove into the water and kissed each-other, sharing an underwater kissing scene just like in the movie.

They all had lunch afterwards followed by some snacks, and they all watched their own anthology romance stories on a big movie screen and they all loved their own stories. ‘I thought your story was beautiful, Oats.’  ‘Thank you.’ 

‘You were very good in our story, my darling little fish cake.’ Piff added, complimenting Tangie on her performance. ‘That’s so nice of you, your performance was very moving too, my sweet sashimi with two spring rolls!’, Anglo turned bright red as he laughed at Tangie’s food related term of endearment.

‘Oh Piffy, you are such a flirty fish.’ ‘I know.’  They had afternoon tea together and went on a romantic underwater boat ride with Piff and Tangie before they all stopped at a special stand where they could make cards for each-other.

An hour later they all had dinner together and they emailed Jill about their adventure before Piff went fishing with Tangie, catching all sorts of fish and showing them off  - they had a karaoke session and Piff even did a fake commercial for a CD compilation called ‘Romantic Songs To Listen To In The Tub’.

“That is a very funny commercial, Piff.”

“Thank you, I made it up myself.”

After their karaoke session was over they all got ready for bed, with Corey putting on his bat pajamas and his Oats putting on his pink nightgown as they all brushed their teeth in the bathroom. 

When they had finished brushing their teeth they all went back into the bedroom and picked out pals to snuggle up with, as they all jumped onto bed and thanked Mel for the adventure.

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep, they all had sweet dreams as they did so and Piff and Tangie had a romantic dream about going on a date to the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium in Las Vegas and even of spending the time together in a hotel.

And thus another adventure has ended but more are coming up.
