Toxic Avenger: The story of how Ross becomes Russell is a homage to the Toxic Avenger’s origin. Jaws: The JAWS theme plays when the newly transformed Russell pulls his prank on the unsuspecting visitors. Aquaman: Russell has the ability to communicate with aquatic creatures just like the titular hero. Kim Possible: Russell gains a half fish creature form similar to Gill.
