Happy Belated Birthday, John Landis.

Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats went on many adventures with all their friends and of course with their gang known as The Defenders which consisted of Mel, Soo, Eucalyptus, Nathan, Dan the were-aykroyd, Wailleo,  Miss Grinch, Aivyan, Anglo, Mimi Minionette, Aiyido the beholder, Augini, Piff, Tangie, Alcina, Corey, Oatsie, Herbert, Vlad, Matthias/Werebelushi In The Shades,  Delilah Deathray, Ratty,  Bonzi, Russell Brand, John Landis and the ghost of Ozzy Osbourne.  

One of their afforementioned friends was John Landis who was the director of American Werewolf In London, Animal House, Trading Places -  to name just a few of the movies he had produced and even though he had a bit of controversy behind his name due to the Twilight Zone and the deaths of Vic Morrow and two child actors, he was able to find redemption when he joined the Defenders.

Which was a huge plus for Mel and also for Werebelushi because they were both fans of his movies,  one day in late September, 2025 specifically around September 20th they decided to celebrate the birthday of John Landis by organizing a special adventure in Vyond City,  Mel felt bad about not making a special celebration for him on his birthday because she was going to but unfortunately couldn’t because of a controversy that caused Piff to censor his ‘Piffy the Monster Slayer’ episode because of elements that were viewed as ‘revenge elements’ hence why he put up warnings stating it’s a revenge scene that is justified and showing wholesome fish imagery instead and also to change the Piff Parodies A Bad Movie episode, both of which were originally themed on werecreature parodies but because the Freakendope community did not like their species being vilified changes had to be made.

Piff opened up a portal to the online world using a combination of keys on the keyboard which opened up a portal in the computer screen which they all jumped through, which took them to the online realm selection screen they all selected Vyond City and they jumped into the portal to Vyond City -  once there they met up with the gang members and helped plan a special trip to a horror museum.

After having lunch for a bit they all called John Landis and invited him over,  they all headed towards the horror museum to take a look at all the exhibits,  Piff saw an exhibit where it was a nightmare ride similar to the one he made and they all jumped inside, looking at all the monsters - they saw posters for various different horror movies as the ride went through various different rooms. However Karen Mckarenson of the League of Entitled Karens did not like the horror content and tried to foil it,  only to end up falling backward into a machine that began to transform her.

Her body slowly started to harden and turn metallic as she was wrapped in a metallic casing that merged with her own skin, slowly turning her appearance more robotic as a tank-like lower formation developed on her lower body, encasing her legs as a massive visor that glowed red covered her face which flattened and hardened into a  robotic one,  giving her the appearance of a ‘Killbot’ from the movie Chopping Mall, the other members of this particular group tried to get her back to normal but ended up being turned into other horror characters.

Which was followed by the gang all going into a part of the museum via the ride that was a monster lab where Piff saw a visage of himself being possessed and turning into the monster version of himself from some of his previous adventures - they all had afternoon tea before entering the birthday room that Mel had set up which was decked out in horror decor.  ‘I’d like to apologize for not helping you celebrate when it was your birthday, John. I had to deal with those Freakendopes that tried to complain about two episodes Piff made.’  ‘Yeah and that stupid Jr Harassor demon.’  ‘That’s alright, I know how THAT feels.’  ‘Happy belated birthday John.’

Piff gave John Landis some monster masks from Trick or Treat Studios and a Gill-Man statue and Mel gave him a copy of the werewolf squishmallow Wade to have as a pet, in addition to this they all had games for a couple of hours before making a trip to the arcade to play video games,  after playing games they went on a trip to a garden and fed the fish before relaxing.

They celebrated for a couple of hours as John told Mel that even though she had given him a late birthday celebration, he was still very thankful.  A couple of hours later they played together before Mel decided it was time to get the gang ready to leave so they all said goodbye and jumped through two exit portals which  took them back to their home in Nile Road.

Upon entering their Nile Road home they all gathered for dinner and Piff made some Japanese food for them to eat, smiling as he did so. In addition to this there was a game session after dinner as Mel emailed Jill about their adventure. Piff and Tangie played games and had a fishing trip together before sending some special greetings for John Landis, which was followed by a game session and karaoke before they all winded down with an ASMR session together.

Which was followed by Corey putting on his bat pajamas and Oats putting on his pink night-gown as they all brushed their teeth as Piff initiated the closedown sequence, this time the closedown sequence showed the animated pufferfish in a tribute to John Landis’s movies, showing the pufferfish at a college party and then as a blues brother and a secret agent and as one of the three amigos, and dancing with Michael Jackson in the Thriller video before racing into his bedroom as a sign with ‘See You Next Wednesday’ could be seen on the wall of his bedroom. The pufferfish yawned as his clothes morphed into pajamas as the goodnight message popped on screen and he brushed his teeth.

Piff hurried into the bedroom with Tangie and jumped into bed before giving her a kiss and giving a goodnight speech which was: ‘Sometimes we mean to do things a lot earlier but things get in the way and ruin it for us but better late than never,  we wish a happy belated birthday to John Landis and we hope he will have a good time with our birthday tribute to him. Goodnight to all of you love from Piff and pals.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off and had sweet dreams including Piff who dreamed of going on a tour of the horror museum and protecting Tangie from the props that had come to life. And thus their adventure had ended but more are coming up, so stay tuned.
