The Pifftacular Anniversary Special

Corey and Oats had many friends they went on adventures and one such friend that joined their crew was Piff the pufferfish, this little pufferfish had stolen everyone’s heart with his creativity, funny antics and his overall charm that made him irresistible and over the last several months had become quite the internet celebrity due to his videos, and had boosted Mel’s Youtube channel in terms of subscribers up to 280 and he was still growing strong in terms of his online presence with numerous fan communities and numerous online adventures.

Mel’s Youtube channel had been up and running since 2012 and it had just turned 13 which meant this year it was the year of her anniversary special, her very own special anniversary of spending time in the Youtube City universe, of course Piff was one of the hottest stars and had done numerous projects.  And it all started with his very first project which was a video where he went to the Golden Lotus store and worshipped a golden bathtub, which not only utilized one of his most iconic traits (his bathtub fixation) but also rocketed him to stardom and he had even now made his own channel in Youtube City called the Piff Channel.

The Piff Channel was a channel dedicated numerous things but mostly fish themed shows and programming in general, for the lovers of sea-creatures and for all of his fans, which included a number of programs he had made himself including ‘The Piff Show’ (a funny underwater variety show with him as the host where he would interview guests, showcase, talented sea-creatures,  do comedy skits, musical numbers, and even do creativity segments), ‘Takifugi Yojimbo’ (a Power Rangers-esque action show about his samurai alter-ego), ‘Super Puffer’ (a quirky animated superhero show about a superheroic pufferfish who fits against NSFW material on the internet), ‘Aquarium Talk’ (a review show where he would review aquarium products and talk about different types of aquarium set-ups, even doing countdowns of favorite fish you can keep in them),  ‘Inspector Piff’ (a film noir style animated action and crime show with a satirical edge), ‘Puffed Up Fish Reviewer’ (a parody of 2010’s era reviewers) and many more.

The mascot for this channel was an animated anthropomorphic pufferfish that resembled him that would be featured in the opening and closing sequences of the channel, as a throwback and homage to when channels like Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network would closedown at night and start in the morning. The opening sequence would feature the pufferfish yawning and jumping out of bed as he brushed his teeth and took a shower and a night time background would transition into a day time one as the pufferfish’s pajamas became day clothes and a good morning message would appear on screen, and vice versa would happen for the closedown segment.

These sequences would always be different each time, and even sometimes animated in a different style and with more elaborate visuals to make it more enthralling. Piff often would do his very own real version of this during the night and jump into bed before giving a good night speech, and recently he expanded the hours of the channel with a relaxation themed block with shows like ‘ASMR Vision’ and ‘Inside Piff’s Dreams’.   Now Mel’s channel initially started out as a modest channel containing of things like card collections, morphing, slideshows and even experimental shows and most of the time she’d follow others, and had numerous playlists including ones for reviewers she liked including recent favorites like Minty’s Comedic Arts, Ashens, to name a few,  music playlists (including halloween themed ones inspired by Dinosaur Dracula and I-Mockery,  Dinosaurdracula used to be called X-Entertainment and even back then it had a very cool halloween vibe to it) and makeup tutorials among others.

Recently her little channel had expanded due to the popularity of Piff and his antics and now Piff was planning to go all out for the anniversary of the channel,  it began after morning tea with him gathering all of the gang into the lounge and discussing plans for the anniversary special and he decided to come up with a special episode of his show to pay tribute to his fans and all of the fans of the adventures he and the gang got up to.

So he decided to use some magic from the bedbox to make his studio come to life and he began to work on the ‘The Piff Show’ special episode, the opening intro for the show started as he used some magic to create the set of the show which came to life and he skipped and danced around as a voice announced: ‘It is once again time for everyone’s favorite underwater variety show, it’s time to get fishy everybody because it’s the Piff Show! And now everyone clap your fins together for everyone’s favorite fish, Piff.’

Piff danced up and down and performed an elaborate musical number followed by jumping onto the stage and singing and introducing himself. ‘Hello everybody, is everyone ready for a fintastic fun time? If you are, let’s get super fishy with it because it’s time to get into today’s show, today’s show is special though because it is the anniversary of the Youtube channel that made me so famous, Mel’s Youtube channel and we’ve got a lot of fun things to show you too.’

The first segment he showed was a segment where he interview Mel and all of his friends about the success of the Youtube channel and asked Mel how she got started, Mel stated she started out doing morphs and experimental content before discovering Vidu which was the magical tool that was used to animate Piff as a cartoon character and bring the videos to life in the form of ‘adventures’,  which was followed by Piff showing a segment on talented sea-creatures and their roles in the underwater kingdom.

He showed commercials for funny fake products including infomercials for CD compilations such as ‘Aquarium Mood Music’ ‘Songs To Listen To In The Tub’,’ ‘Piffiest Hit Songs’ and more, followed by a cooking show where Piff and his onion muppet sidekick Ollie made seaweed wraps for lunch which they shared with everyone, this was followed by a brand new ‘Super Puffer’ episode where Piff as Super Puffer defeated a bunch of bad guys in Vyond who were trying to defame Adam Hughes,  and a segment where Piff parodied Barney type kids shows and even parodied bad content farm content by battling brainrot mutant-animals in space.

This was followed by a segment where he showed some of his funniest and fishiest moments and even Suku (a twin pufferfish who was his number one fan) showed up and joined in with some contributions of his own, they all sang songs and he even showed the parody biopic he had made on a big screen which got a lot of attentions from the fans, and even showed a special ‘lost episode’ archive that had all the adventures that never came to fruition, and some that had to be changed. ‘You may remember me and my buddies slaying an evil queen in the original Piffy the Monster Slayer adventure and episode,  well we had to censor that final fight with said villain because The Department of Freakendopes got all hot and bothered over how their werecreature parody species was portrayed, yeah apparently they don’t like being called a complete joke and being villains even though a complete joke is what they are. So we swapped her out for the dum dum were-aykroyds and the honey monster.’

‘Woah, so many episodes.’  ‘Yeah. Mel tells me we were supposed to do a huge David Walliams crossover episode last year because he was doing a stand-up comedy show but because she could not go there due to expense related reasons, we had to cancel the episode but manage to do it for the April Fools episode of this year.’  ‘Do you ever plan on what you guys will do for the finale of Corey and Oats?’ ‘Honestly not really, because I cannot imagine EVER ending the show hence why there were a few episodes that had a gag where it’s we pretend the show ended and we do a fake sad ending and then we reveal it was a prank. Nor Corey or Oats have said they plan on ending their Nile Road adventures and neither has Mel.  And to be honest, why would we?  I wouldn’t want to actually end the adventures and cancel them.’  ‘Do you have plans on doing any new episodes of the Wacky Misadventures of Piff?’ ‘Oh yes, every day I plan about this, it’s a spin-off sitcom I like using as a skit within these adventures.’

‘Piffy, Piffy, how did you create Ollie the onion?’  ‘Ollie was manifested via a thought I had will make a perfect friend to play with and I thought of something that makes me laugh, it is a spiritual reason I chose for him to be an onion, because onions make me laugh.’  ‘Will Puffed Up Fish Reviewer ever get around to completing The History Of Aquatic Police Force?’  ‘The history of Aquatic Police Force will be up on the channel later.’

In addition to this he did a comedy skit where he hosted a paranormal investigation show where he explored a haunted shipwreck, where he saw ghost fish swimming around making spooky sounds and singing, they proved to be nice fish and played with him which was followed by a segment where Piff danced on the steps of a temple and did kung fu moves and he showed a video he made where he had a funny voice and held up a sign saying ‘Hello ladies’.

He made some delicious fish themed cakes and cookies for afternoon tea and even showed a funny series of skits on a highlight reel including videos of him with Vidudu, Ollie,  Po the teletubby, Barney, and Pikachu -  which was followed by singing and putting on a special show before making dinner for all his friends on his cooking show,  which consisted of a series of fun Japanese dishes.

They all sat down and had dinner and when dinner was finished Mel emailed Jill about their adventure as Piff and Tangie went fishing and they caught a lot of fish and afterwards they played games and had all sorts of fun, including a karaoke session.

After their fun session came to an end Piff showed some of the relaxation programs he had come up with and he and Tangie had a relaxing ASMR session full of wholesome activities including Tangie’s favorite game of Guess the Bathbomb Scent as they all went into the bedroom, Corey put on his bat pajamas and Oats put on his princess night-gown.

They all brushed their teeth as Piff initiated a special version of his closedown sequence, this time the sequence featured the anthropomorphic pufferfish going through different online video worlds to find one of his house - when he found a video of his house he jumped inside the video and was teleported into the bedroom where he yawned and brushed his teeth.  Which was followed by his clothing morphing into pajamas as he fell asleep on the bed and the daytime background transitioned into a night-time one as a special anniversary goodnight message appeared on screen.

Which was followed by Piff using some magic to float into the bedroom with all the friends as he jumped into bed and kissed Tangie before giving a special goodnight speech. ‘We have gone on quite the anniversary adventure, Mel has been so gracious to let us have this very special anniversary adventure to celebrate her channel and of course to celebrate 280 subscribers. We are all glad to have had this celebration today and now it is time to look forward to what the 300th subscriber special will be like when it arrives, but until the day it arrives and until tomorrow, good night everyone, sweet fishy dreams, love from Piffy and all his friends.’

Anglo turned off the lights as they all drifted off to sleep, having sweet dreams as they did so, including Piff who dreamed of creating a brand new show for Mel’s channel with a fishy theme, and thus their adventure had ended but more are coming up.
