Corey and Oats in..

Scary Fish Stories To Read In The Dark

---------------------------------------

Corey and Oats were known for their adventures with their friends including those with Piff the pufferfish, the little pufferfish known as Piff had become so popular thanks to his videos that he had his own growing fishy fanbase and even had become a successful producer and writer and had made several movies and made his own channel known as The Piff Channel which was dedicated to content of the most aquatic kind.

He even had come up with a series of horror stories based on his imagination called ‘Tales From Piff’s Warped Imagination’ and he even made a surreal horror movie, one day he decided to gather everyone around to do a scary horror storytelling session as he brought them all into the lounge and started the story session with a warning: ‘Some of these stories might be too scary for some fishes, we recommend reading these with the lights on but hey, if you can’t handle horror that’s your fault’.

The intro sequence to the horror stories then started, it showed the animated pufferfish from the sign on and closedown sequence of Piff’s channel in his room being yelled at by two parent fish and crying as his ‘Fish Monster Stories’ comic was thrown into a bin but he was beckoned to the window by a cloaked undead looking anthropomorphic fish-creature as the title ‘Fish Monster Stories’ appeared as slime dripping on the wall.  Piff began to tell the stories, the first story was a homage to the Fritz Lang movie M with Piff himself as Peter Lorre’s famous role from the film, the second was a parody of Jaws.

Followed by a homage to the Goosebumps story The Haunted Mask which had the guys visiting a Spirit Halloween store and Tangie buying a mask of a sea-monster and trying it on, making her become a monstrous version of herself, and a Jekyll and Hyde homage was in the story after that with Piff drinking a strange potion that turned him into an evil monstrous version of himself.

In the next story there was a parody of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, using duplicate Snackles as the body snatching aliens,  followed by a Ghostbusters tribute where guest stars Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray called Mel and the gang when they were being bothered by a pesky ghostly villain who resembled an Inkling who was trying to force her way into the next Ghostbusters movie by trying   ‘Gotcha, bad ghost.’  ‘Noooo you can’t suck me up, i’ve got so many universes to ruin with my badly written episode plots and jokes nobody gets, I was trying to get a part in the next movie and now you’re ruining it for me, waaaaaa!’’   ‘Sorry ghostie, not today.’

They all had lunch together as Piff told another story,  this time the story was a homage to Psycho with Piff as Norman recreating elements from the film including the shower scene with Oats,  this was followed by a Carrie homage starring Mel as Carrie White,  a tribute to body horror movies in particular David Cronenberg movies and Altered States involving someone becoming a fish-monster,  a Beetlejuice tribute titled Pufferjuice where Piff played Betelgeuse haunting the Alanastiums,  a sci fi b-movie parody segment called The Creature With Eleven Eyes which featured Aiyido the beholder, a Freaks homage with Piff, Tangie, Corey, Oats, Mel, Aiyido, Aivyan and Riko as the titular circus freaks, a Silence of the Lambs homage, a homage to The Ring,  and many other segments.

There was even a commercial before the snack break which was a homage to action figure commercials,  it was advertising a line of Corey and Oats halloween figures with ‘spooky’ features like a Corey figure that mutated, a trailer advertising a horror movie titled ‘Deep Sea Mutants’ which showed some humanoid deep sea monsters terrorizing a village, a fake commercial for an animated series based on ‘Maniac Cop’ which was parodying how sometimes non-kid friendly movies would get a cartoon series.

Next to this there were commercials for plush Piff and Tangie dolls, and mini teaser trailers for upcoming adventures. Which was followed by Piff and Tangie doing a SNL skit titled ‘How to Make Halloween Fintastic’ which featured them making a wish and summoning a magical halloweeny fish version of David Pumpkins (played by Tom Hanks), Who used magic to make a ‘fintastic’ party for the couple.

Which was followed by afternoon tea and a Sleepaway Camp homage with Oats as Angela Baker,   and they all had dinner as he told several more stories including homages to Troma movies and even a Shadow Over Innsmouth homage, and even a parody of Terrifier with Piff as Art the Clown.

After dinner Mel emailed Jill about the adventure as Piff and Tangie went fishing and they caught lots of fish,  which was followed by a game session and some karaoke and a relaxation session with a halloween theme and some fishy activities and some wholesome spooky stories including a Charlie Brown tribute called ‘It’s The More Than Great Onion, Piff’.

Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his princess night-gown as they all got ready for bed,  they all brushed their teeth as Piff initiated the closedown sequence this time it was depicted as a Tim Burton movie with the pufferfish as a living pufferfish doll living in a haunted dollhouse and swirling around as the daytime background morphed into a night time one and his clothes morphed into pajamas as he floated into the bedroom and onto the bed, soft music box music played as the goodnight message appeared on screen.

Which was followed by Piff floating into bed himself and giving the goodnight speech which was: ‘There is no better season than the October season, because that means it is the season of halloween and spooky stuff which means it’s perfect for telling scary stories. We hope you all enjoyed our anthology of terror today.  We had a wonderful time telling the stories today, but before I close out this episode. I’d like to thank our guest stars Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Tom Hanks.’  ‘You’re most welcome, Piff.’

‘Yeah, I heard you were such a big fan of my SNL character David Pumpkins and thought it would be a great idea to make an appearance in your special, and playing him as a fish-person was an interesting experience.’ Tom Hanks responded. ‘And let’s face it, you deserved a part in this special.’ ‘Oh yes I certainly did. It wasn't a problem at all.’ ‘Goodnight everyone.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep and had sweet dreams including Piff, who dreamed of doing a big halloween party with his friends as their adventure ended but more are coming up.
