Werebelushi rants: Soccermoms

Werebelushi:

Hello it's me That Werebelushi In The Shades with another edition of Werebelushi Rants. Tonight's rant is on a certain group of humans that really irritate me.

And the ones i'm refering to are soccermoms and other people who complain about what their children watch or play.

Boy are these guys a bunch of whiny idiots. They don't want their kids getting hurt but they sign up for all these stupid clubs: Book clubs, science clubs, geography clubs, baseball club, math club, drama clubs and the like - but when the kids want to do something like go outside and play, they don't let them.

Instead they're like this: "No no no, don't go out there, you'll hurt yourself and get a nasty scab" or some other bullshit.

If there is a show or movie that the kids watch and it's not family friendly, then these guys will complain about it and to the creators of said show or movie.

One example comes from a certain teacher I know of at an old school one of my human friends used to go. My friend has a love of heavy metal and he's a big fan of the band Tenacious D, so he brings the Tenacious D CD in and starts playing but the teacher starts complaining and saying it is inappriorate because it has swearing in it.

So much to the point of actually banning anything related to the band in it. Even the movie Tenacious D In The Pick Of Destiny.

Are...you...fucking...kidding...me? That's just the stupidest thing ever. I mean really? Banning Tenacious D because it has swearing in it and isn't "kid friendly"? But that's what makes them awesome.

Again I know it's a teacher's job to tell you what to do and the classroom and that you're supposed to obey them when they ask you to put your toys or whatever away but sometimes they go too far by banning certain things from schools.

They did it with Pokemon cards, Garbage Pail kids, and the teacher I mentioned earlier provided an example of that by banning Tenacious D and other heavy metal music.

So let me guess this straight.....Tenacious D, Metallica, ACDC, Meatloaf and the like got banned from schools but teen bop crap like Miley Cyrus, High School Musical and the like get to stay? That's bullcrap.

In case you don't know...a great number of those teen bop singers get involved in scandals - like for example Miley posting nude photos of herself on the internet.

Also the very same teacher banned the movie "Animal House" because it was too raunchy apparently and because my friend was a fan of this movie - said teacher thought he was being a "bad influence" on his friends because of this.

Okay now that's GOING WAY TOO FAR. Really? Banning the movie Animal House just because of it's raunchy material and the influence it had on my friend and his group of followers?

Hellooooooo....Animal House is R-Rated of course it's not "kid-friendly" and has raunchy humor in it. But that's why it was such an awesome movie! That's why it's so infamous and so well loved.

What? Were you expecting a movie like Animal House to be a g-rated Disneyified romp about people singing and dancing? In your dreams, this isn't Grease you know.

Well apart for the other BIG reason why and I do mean BIG. And we all know who that was - don't we? That's right.....John Belushi! Nuff said. He was awesome as Bluto and he still is! No matter how many negative stories are told about him, he's still awesome.

And if that wasn't enough they banned South Park or anything relating to the show. I can understand that because well....despite the fact it's animated, South Park is not a children's show by any means but that's why it's awesome.

I mean who doesn't love listening to Chef's songs or watching Cartman get up to no good? Sure Kenny getting killed a lot did get some tiresome but was still pretty funny to watch.

Look....if the show or movie isn't "kid friendly", then maybe it's both for kids AND adults. Some cartoons I can think of that are like this are Ren And Stimpy, Venture Brothers, Earthworm Jim, Biker Mice From Mars, Cow and Chicken, The Simpsons, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, and even Robot Chicken.

One other thing about soccermoms and the like is that they're the reason that the Princess And The Frog never got a nomination for the Kids Choice Awards 2010. They protested about this movie because of the use of voodoo in it.

A majority of these are properly Christians and think that anything has voodoo or magic in it is 'the devil's work'.

Seriously? Voodoo? That's the reason for protesting? But that's what makes Dr Facilier such an interesting villain.

Also...if that's the reason for protesting, then how come they didn't complain about the whole Queen Mousette scene from Blues Brothers 2000? Oh wait....Blues Brothers 2000 was rated PG anyway so it was "kiddified" to make it more suitable for younger audiences.

So Harry Potter and the Princess and the Frog get complained about but Wizards of Waverly Place and other kiddie shows that sometimes have this get a free pass? What the hell?

While we're on the subject, my friend once told me that his friends - who love the show Big Wolf On Campus were not allowed to look it up because apparently his tutors or something thought it was "too scary" and had "gore" in it.

Ummmm......you do realize that Big Wolf On Campus is a kids show, right? It's a horror comedy kids show.

There's no "gore" in it, sure there are a lot of double entendres and stuff like that as well as comical fight scenes - but there is NO gore.
As for the scariness....on occassion there CAN be some scary episodes or moments but it's mostly all played for laughs.

The biggest example of schools acting like overprotective soccermoms was when they protestested and banned the Goosebumps books, saying that they're too scary for kids.
Goosebumps books are supposed to be horror stories for kids, of course they're scary but in a fun way. They're not gory, or anything and there's no deaths - that I know of.

Think Tales From The Crypt only without the gore and without the Crypt Keeper's one-liners, come to think of it - Tales from The Crypt comics also got banned for a while back in the day.

I mean the Goosebumps books are midly tame compared to Edward Gorey, HR Giger and Stephen King. Nothing to complain about at all.

I'm surprised that they didn't complain about Are You Afraid of The Dark as well since that is pretty much Nickelodeon's answer to Goosebumps anyway.

This just proves how crazy and stupid these people are, and I personally think that they have lost their minds.

Also they banned sugary foods and junk food because of the obesity epidemic claiming that it makes kids fat. That's also the reason why they made Cookie Monster a vegetarian. Damn it, I want old Cookie Monster back!

This has been that Werebelushi In The Shades with another rant, now if you excuse me...i'm going to go and start a petition to ban Soccermoms.
