Monstermaster13's review: Man of the Year
Nathan:
Hello everyone and welcome back to the Walken-A-Thon, i'm Monstermaster13 and it's time for another review.
Say what you will about Robin Williams, I think he is a terrific comedian and voice actor and he is right up there with Jim Carrey and all the other greats.
The movie i'm reviewing this time is the 2006 movie Man of The Year, directed by Barry Levinson who also directed Envy.
In this movie...Robin plays a talk show host/comedian named Tom Dobbs, who runs in the election to be presidential candidate after being suggested to do so by a member of the audience.
If you're wondering why this sounds familiar - it's because Stephen Colbert has also done the same thing in real life. Oh well...he's Stephen Colbert - he does what he wants.
Meanwhile there is a subplot involving Eleanor Green played by Laura Linney. The kicker to the main plotline is that Dobbs begins to take it seriously.
I'm not going to spoil the rest of this movie for you as I think you should watch this as well.
The cast is great especially Williams but the supporting cast is great too especially
Chris Walken and Jeff Goldblum. Both of them are on my favorite actors list btw.
The plot is very consistant along with the subplot and the movie in general is a good watch.
I give it 10 out of 10, two monstrous clawed thumbs up and a high reccomendation stamp.
Phew....I made it through another Walken-A-Thon review without becoming Walkenied...thank god, now can I go back to my normal job of being a reviewer!
I'm Monstermaster13 and this has been another one of my reviews..enjoy your day/night/whatever everyone
