Preparing For The Temporary House

NOTE:  This is part of the August 27th-September 2nd saga and also part of the Peanut ssleepover saga and also the start of the temporary ‘2nd home’ saga,  this was originally supposed to be written and published on the day but due to Scribd’s uploaders crashing for two months, this was unfortunately not the case but enjoy the story otherwise.

Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats went on multitudes of adventures with all their friends and family members including Piff the Pufferfish and Peanut,  and each time a massive Peanut sleepover mini-series happened it was a chance for character development as well as teamwork related.

And this mini-series of adventures as of this story was going to be extra special, it all began on Sunday 30th of August, 2026 and it was proving to be quite a big day for everyone,  now in one of the previous adventures for that very specific week (specifically Wednesday, 27th of August) Rachel had taken the gang out to have some food at Milford Mall where she revealed that there was another change of sorts coming,  not in the form of a new team mate or anything, that the gang were going to go to a 2nd house of sorts.

This was because one of the two bathrooms was getting finalized with the repairs and luckily unlike last time,  there was not going to be any Belmont visits (at least not as long as last time the bathroom renovations) which was something Mel was at least happy for,  well she didn’t hate Belmont she just thought that Belmont by itself did not have much potential for adventure settings outside of the garden and that was why she refused to do any story adventures involving people from that house (the least she could give the staff and members of that house were cameo roles, since most of the adventures were focused on the Nile Road crew, and likely the Belmont crew had their own series)  and well the ones that did involve staying at Belmont for a bit were narrated by Piff because she asked him to do them instead.

Piff had been noticing Mel’s attitude towards the plans had altered a bit, she felt okay with it at first but now she was genuinely afraid because well she was going to be staying temporarily in a new place,  and it was going to be very strange to her,  and most importantly she had to think about who was going to go with her.  ‘I am sure we all can go with you.’  ‘I am not entirely sure about who I will pick though.’  ‘Oh i’m sure that it’s going to be a good place regardless.’

He smiled as he used some magic to open up a portal to the online universe, and they all jumped through the portal and arrived in the online universe, Mel thought it would be a good idea to meet up with her gang in Vyond City because she remembered John Landis’s birthday was a couple of weeks prior and she needed the gang’s help. 

So they selected Vyond City and jumped through the portal along with Peanut and Hangyodon, Piff was very happy when they arrived through the portal in the city, and they all headed over to Defenders HQ where they met up with the other members of the Defenders which consisted of Soo,  Eucalyptus, Delilah Deathray, Anglo, Miss Grinch, Ratty,  Bonzi, Nathan, Matthias/Werebelushi,  Dan, Mimi Minionette, Russell Brand, and John Landis and the Ghost of Ozzy Osbourne and Pikachu.  Pikachu hugged Piff and he talked about how excited he was for the celebration…’I know we are going to to go to the monster museum to have a celebration.’ ‘John is going to love all the monsters on display.’

The gang of heroes known as the Defenders all headed over to the museum and entered, exploring the monster exhibit with John Landis as Mel presented him with a present she had gotten him which was a Bearclops plush from Build A Bear,  followed by them all having the celebration at the museum and playing games,  before they had lunch and had a fun time together.

“Happy belated birthday, John.”

“Aaaaw, thanks Mel.”

“I knew you would like the Bearclops, it’s a popular one.’

Piff told the other gang members that he and the others were going to help Mel with her preparations in moving to the temporary 2nd home.  ‘My owner is very nervous about going to this new place tomorrow, and so I am helping her.’   ‘You certainly are a very brave fish by doing that.’  ‘I know.’

The gang all continued to explore the museum before going to the arcade for a bit, and Mel showed everyone the ‘hall of retired monsters’  which was dedicated to all of the previous characters both she and Nathan had made -  with most of them being from the now and forever non-canon Drmusic2 era.  Nathan admitted that back when he was working for the Amiright humor magazine he very much had no idea on what he wanted to do with his parodies,  he mainly just wanted to come up with specific parodies based on hyperfixations of his and that was it.

But he specifically just thought that ‘well no one would want to read these song parodies if they don’t know the person behind them’  or  ‘I need a persona, every parody writer who has ever published for that magazine has one’  hence why he made the ‘Dr Music’ persona,  because he thought he could make a name for himself with a persona.  And well that story has already been told in previous stories, anyway the gang stopped for a while before going to play together at an aquarium.

Which was followed by them having some snacks and afternoon tea before jumping through an online exit portal and arriving back in time for Jill to arrive,  Jill and Mel and the gang all gathered together as Jill comforted Mel and told her that while moving to another place may be scary at first - she’d get used to it, and Mel nodded, hugging her.

The gang all shared treats together as Piff expressed that he had been doing his part to help her get ready and Jill responded…’I’m very proud of you all, and I know you will do a good job in helping Mel adjust to a new temporary setting.’  ‘Oh we will, you can count on us.’  ‘Good, I like to hear that.’

After spending some time with the gang Jill said goodbye to them but not before giving Mel a cuddle and telling Piff to keep up the good work,  Piff smiled as they all gathered into the lounge for dinner and he made a lovely Japanese meal for them all.  Pikachu knew that his best pal would be able to help Mel adjust.

Afterwards Mel sent Jill an email about their adventure and Piff and Tangie and Peanut and Hangyodon played games and went fishing, catching a lot of fish in the process and having fun as they relaxed, followed by a game session and some karaoke. 

Which was followed by a relaxation session where Piff and Tangie and Hangyodon and Peanut did all their favorite relaxing activities including bathbomb sniffing, imagination sessions, ASMR, and ‘Guess the Bathbomb Scent’ as Oats put on his princess nightgown and Corey put on his bat pajamas as they all brushed their teeth.

Piff activated the closedown sequence featuring the animated fish couple, Hangyodon, and a pufferfish resembling Peanut as they all floated around in a mystical underwater garden trail that took them into a magical underwater sleepover area as the background shifted from day to night and the goodnight message appeared on screen.

He then floated into bed and kissed Tangie and hugged Hangyodon and Peanut before giving the goodnight speech which was…’I helped my owner prepare for a move to a temporary home today and we celebrated the belated birthday of her favorite director, which is great, and we all had fun today in general and now we’re going to have fun in dreamland, goodnight everyone.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep including Piff and they all had sweet dreams,  and thus their adventure had ended but more are coming up, so stay tuned.
