The Last Campbell’s Bay Adventure

NOTE: This is the last installment in the Campbells Bay mini-series of adventures and this series was supposed to be adopted during that timeframe of August 31st to September the 4th 2026 but due to Scribd’s uploader not working this was postponed along with a couple of other adventures but here it is so enjoy it anyway.

Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats went on many adventures with their gang of friends including Piff and Tangie and this includes strange and wonderful new places, sometimes a new experience can be scary at first but when you get used to it, it can be fun such as the case of today’s adventure.

The day was September 4th, 2026 and it was an extremely special day, mainly because it was the last day of their staff at their temporary home in Campbell’s Bay,  they all had certainly been through a transformative experience together that week, even Mel had gone from being afraid to actually adjusting to it and loving it and even had grown to like visiting Belmont.

Mel never really hated Belmont or its residents, it is just that her past visitations to that particular place were in which she was not in the past mood or something bad had happened to her and she still had a bit of trauma from the flood (please see ‘Tales From The Blackout Zone’), she personally had no grudge against the resident, she just thought that since this whole series of adventures and the adventures in general were focused on ‘Nile Road’ and the residents - that compared to Nile, Belmont would not have made for a good series of adventures to begin with and while she acknowledged they existed and liked them,  she just viewed them as ‘side characters’ since she rarely gave them any major roles in the adventures apart from the obligatory Christmas party episodes of course, and the ‘staycation’ episodes.

She outright refused to do a story/adventure last time that took place at Belmont due to what happened,  well it was essentially her big mistake to leave Hyacinth’s lifeforce charger at home and to forget a coloring book so she essentially ended up being driven to boredom and feeling like she couldn’t do anything, she tried to go outside and go for a walk but Louisa thought she got lost, so because for her she viewed it as a ‘life-draining’ experience she did not write a story for it but instead asked Piff to narrate one of his own in his own story, and when another Belmont stay came up, she refused to do another one about it so a completely different story was told instead.  It was not her best week at all but hey she at least got to see some very fun places.

But in the previous two adventures, she had really gotten to lighten up and enjoy Belmont, true she still had a great deal of disdain towards the Christmas party but only because last year’s was a major disappointment,  it was supposed to be Piff’s huge debut as a comedic driving force and mascot but because it was a holiday party, the cute Piff videos that were supposed to be driving people towards his channel were swapped out in favor of Christmas songs.

And well with that it was the same generic ‘Top 100 Christmas Songs’ on repeat, on one of those needlessly long videos that were over an hour long and half of the songs were covers of public domain Christmas carols followed by the overplayed tunes from the likes of Michael Buble and Mariah Carey’s ‘magnum opus’ All I Want For Christmas Is You.  It always bothered Mel that out of ALL of Mariah’s songs it was always that one that an inhumanly amount of airplay on every major radio station during the holidays.

Especially due to the fact that Mariah had a ton of OTHER really nice songs and some that WEREN’T holiday themed,  and also due to how Mariah herself weaponized this with the infamous ‘It’s Time’ viral videos every year,   and well she could see why this would be a nightmare for anyone working in retail during the holidays.

She thought it was annoying that stores would start putting up holiday things as early as September,  as she often put it…’Who the hell watches A Christmas Story in May?  Who the hell watches It’s A Wonderful Life in July?’  ‘Do we really need over a thousand covers of the same public domain carols every year?’  ‘When I go shopping I don’t want to see Rudolph or Santa or Elf movie merch, it’s October,  I want to see Freddy, Jason, Pinhead, Chucky, Betelgeuse, Art the Clown or Elvira.’

The gang all woke up on that day after Mel had another one of her odd Terminator related dreams (see the ending of the previous store) where in some of them she either encountered the t1000 or became him and it was always an odd experience for her, seeing the t1000’s appearance in the mirror instead of her own.

Mel had recently started acquiring a ‘Robert Patrick’ hyperfixation, it started all the way when Hyacinth had to get fixed up and she had to go without her for several weeks, the last time when this had happened to a computer companion of hers she very much lost her cool, acting like it was the end of the world, but she was a bit more composed during this time period,  she initially had tried going on Netflix to find a movie to watch but unfortunately she knew New Zealand netflix did not have as much as Netflix in other parts of the world (when she tried to find the 1980 comedy ‘Caddyshack’ she had no luck finding it),  and Piff did manage to suggest and find some David Attenborough documentaries,  but she gave up on Netflix after that and tried Tubi.

She thought Tubi would give her some content to watch, hoping that New Zealand was on the list of countries to receive Cartoon Network shows on Tubi but that was not the case, so she gave up on Tubi.  So she tried Youtube instead, going on a bit of an adventure, starting with watching Piff’s funny fish antics followed by visiting some of her favorite channels such as Minty Comedic Arts (who she had been a fan of ever since he first started out and cited him as inspiration for two answers to questions on Quora),  Back To The Past, The Fish Guys, Adam Martyn,  and Headphones UK.

Followed by going on a Terminator related deep dive after discovering gameplay of the t1000 in Mortal Kombat 1, which lead to Marvelous Videos which was a Youtube channel that was all about the lore of movie monsters and she saw one all about the Terminator franchise, and since then she had acquired not only a new movie franchise fixation but also a new villain comfort character and a new actor fixation, she couldn’t help what characters she dreamed about or what her comfort characters were, she would have dreams about villains from horror movies but in the dreams these villains would be portrayed as good and nice as opposed to being evil, and she had numerous dreams about the t1000.

Either they had her and her pals being chased by the t1000/encountering him or her turning into him in some form, that day after they all got up with Mel - Mel headed to the bathroom that was located next door to the bedroom and once again took advantage of having total freedom in the bathroom due to having a bathroom all to herself and not having to worry about Natasha hogging the hot water was definitely a plus.

Of course this specific adventure was very much the last day of their home at their temporary home in the airbnb, there was no major plans for an outing this time as it was very much just a straight forward ‘going home’ adventure so they all helped Mel after she got dressed and they had pizza for breakfast,  which was followed by the gang getting ready.

Pif decided to do a funny skit using his Do It Yourself Storyteller AI tool which was a magical form of AI which he used to come up with scripts and stories, his skit focused on him working on a music video to submit to the Pixverse Studios production company only to get a rude comment from someone named Doofus.  Doofus posted a comment that said…’Dear Piff, I hope you do not mind me saying this and I do love you are making your own music videos and movies and I do mean this with respect but nobody wants to see a talking fish on their Reddit City feeds.’   ‘Well no one wants to see generic anime cat-women fighting for an uninterested man’s affection, Banana Ant Borg or Blippi in their feed either yet they always pop up, and heck, i’ve seen Banana Ant Borg advertised on my Youtube City recommendation network a lot and the show is garbage.’   ‘But your work isn’t any better.’  ‘Oh but it is Doofus, the Piffverse is the best online universe in the history of universes, it has depth and lore to it, it’s not just a silly cartoon fish doing silly fish antics, it’s about friendship, love, and being appreciated for who you are.’

‘But no one wants to see it on their feed.’  ‘I’m sorry but are you really speaking for everyone or just for yourself? Because it sounds like you are trying to speak for yourself.’  ‘Oh alright fine, i’m mostly just exclusively speaking for myself and not for the Pixverse production company because I am a generic nay-sayer antagonist made to represent negative criticism of media in general.’  Piff used his magic to teach him a lesson, turning him into various funny things including a goldfish-woman,  Thomas from Thomas the Tank Engine, a koala, a living koala doll, and an onion headed scarecrow as everyone laughed at him.

Which was followed by the gang helping Mel before having lunch together,  they had pizza for lunch,  which was followed by the gang all packing up and meeting up with the other residents and the staff before going into the floating van.  Mel was glad they were all going to go home but she did feel a bit uneasy because it meant once again it would be back to the usual battle over who got to use the shower first and she was of course dreading Natasha’s hot water hogging ways coming back in full force,  but she was not afraid.

The floating van took off and took them all the way back to their home in Nile Road, upon arriving in Nile Road they all had fun together for a couple of hours as the gang entered the bedroom and met up with the members that had been left behind including Anglo, Anglo was glad to see them back,  especially because it had felt not quite right doing the lights out sequence without them.

Which was followed by some games and snacks before they all had some afternoon tea together,  and they played together for a couple of hours -  and they went on a series of funny mini-adventures by using magic to turn the hallways of their house into a fantastical underwater maze.

An hour later they were all called for dinner as Piff and Tangie and Hangyodon all collaborated on a fantastic Japanese meal for the friends to all have,  and after dinner Mel emailed Jill about their adventure and explained all that had happened as Piff, Tangie and Hangyodon all went fishing and caught fish.  

Followed by a relaxation session and a game session as the fish friends i.e Piff, Hangyodon, and Tangie did their favorite activities including bathbomb sniffing, imagination sessions,  ASMR, relaxing spell-sharing sessions and the favorite game of ‘Guess the Bathbomb Scent’, as Corey put on his bat pajamas and Oats put on his princess nightgown.

They all brushed his teeth as Piff activated the closedown sequence featuring the animated fish couple and Hangyodon going into a magical dream portal with dream areas reflecting their favorite things as the background shifted from day to night and the goodnight message appeared on screen.

Piff floated into bed, kissed Tangie and hugged Hangyodon before giving the goodnight speech which was: ‘Well we just ended a very special series of adventures this week, we got a new temporary home at Campbell’s Bay and now we’re back home, and well it was certainly a very fun week for all of us, and now it is time for us to go to sleep, goodnight everyone.’

Anglo looked at Piff and smiled….’This feels just right now, now Piffy, can I turn off the lights to end the adventure like I always do?’  ‘Yes Anglo, you may.’  Anglo the anglerfish reached out and turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep and had sweet dreams including Piff, and thus their adventure had come to an end.

And thus also ends the Campbell’s Bay mini-series of adventures but that doesn’t mean more are coming up, so please stay tuned for more adventures.
