Preparing Mel for Her Dark Metamorphosis

Corey and Oats were known for their adventures with their owner Mel and all their friends and sometimes there were a lot of adventures that involved supernatural elements, as was to be expected and especially when it came to transformations.  Now transformations or TF as it is often shortened to is a sub-genre of fiction in the art world where it shows a character turning into another form and while some just boil it down to ‘oh,  this is a kink that some people get their rocks off to’,  there are people who genuinely do like it for what it represents and yes, there are weird people like people in the were-fandom who very much just think that all that it takes to do any werecreature transformation is ‘edgy OC who looks like a Hot Topic mascot + full moon + insert species here = werecreature’  and likely only just discovered that werecreatures are a thing through that one video trend throughout the 2010s where it is a character turning bad to the song ‘Animal I Have Become’.

But there are some that have always been into it and personally never viewed it as such,  Mel had always been into transforming in to different people and characters, and one major thing she used to do when at her old home with Jill was that every night she’d go into a meditation state and visualize herself becoming different people.

And now she was going to transform herself again, this time it was for something that she hadn’t done in the previous year, going to the ball.  Last year there was a huge ball that all of the residents of the house except for her went to where everyone dressed up, and initially Mel did not want to even think about coming to this year’s one because she thought she’d have to ‘dress up’ as in wear gaudy fancy clothes to look sophisticated, but when she was told she didn’t have to dress like that and when she could be whatever she wanted to be, she jumped on board.

It took a couple of months for her to figure it out but in July of this very year it had come to her, earlier that month the rock legend Ozzy Osbourne had passed away a couple of weeks after he did his final live tour,  and after some considerations on who she wanted to go as, she ultimately settled on Ozzy.  Because it made sense to honor him, of course she knew Jahna would totally be on board with the idea of the transformation.

Now it was early September which meant in one month the ball would be taking place and she’d need to prepare herself for the transformation,  one day after morning tea the duo along with Piff and Tangie and all the friends decided to pull out some special things to help prepare her.

She heard the song ‘Mr Tinkertrain’ playing in the bedroom and she looked around,  trying to find the  source of the sound and she was startled when she saw Ozzy’s ghost popping out of a painting on the wall. ‘Ozzy!’  ‘Sorry to scare ya like that, Mel. I heard your friends are going to help you become me for the ball this year.’  ‘Yeah,  I don’t normally attend gatherings because of my anti-social nature but I learned you don’t have to dress up fancy and can just be whatever you want so i’m going as you.’  ‘Oh i’m so excited to hear that. I only joined the gang a couple of months ago and I am so impressed by what you are capable of doing.’  ‘Thanks, that means a lot coming from you.’ ‘Would you let me be your tutor and teach you how to unlock your inner darkness?’  ‘Oh yes I would.’  ‘Oh well then, follow me everyone.’

Ozzy used some magic to open up a supernatural portal of sorts which the gang all stepped through,  upon entering the portal they were all taken into some sort of dark gothic looking hallway with paintings that looked straight of the Haunted Mansion including one of Ozzy turning into a werewolf like in the Bark At The Moon music video,  an ebony skinned woman wearing steampunk style glasses and an elaborate gown losing her ‘attractive’ appearance and becoming a gargoyle-esque monster, a fiery haired Kate Mckinnon doppelganger dressed in a cyberpunk unicorn costume turning into a shrivelled up goblin-woman,  just to name a few.

Mel knew that there was going to be an exciting transformation ahead and she knew that unlike those pointless transformation stories that consist of only 10% or 20%  plot and 50% adventures of random characters who are the worst hero team being essentially that one ‘Adventure Team’ Youtube thing where people in fandoms who try to do their Pooh’s Adventures equivalents only more well written and more pretentious.  ‘This is so much better than those ones.’  ‘I’m glad, because those are just lame. Like who cares about some complicated timeline that keeps shifting?  Or some petty rivalry between two stupid OCs who act like they are the ultimate badass.’  ‘Yeah, like what do they think they’re doing?  Being one of those internet reviewers that tried to emulate Channel Awesome during the late 2010’s?’

‘Yeah and the obscure references are just lame. It’s like someone cloned Dennis Miller.’ ‘Like who cares about jokes only people in that person’s generation would get, we came for the transformation in the episode  and the story, the characters are bland and stand around and do nothing.”

“Talk about stupid, I remember when Suku showed me a video of this.”

“Was it the lame Batman Returns one?”

‘Oh yeah,  I remember being so frustrated when the episode just kept cutting to this edgy looking punk rat-girl who goes around trying to be Indiana Jones when I just wanted to see Batman and Catwoman’s encounter in the alley.  Yeah your ability to use a whip to kill your enemies is nice and all but we did not come for a Lara Croft wannabe, we came for the actual movie you and your friends are interrupting.’   ‘Yeah I hate when they do it, always sidelining characters who could easily just teleport out of that mess or use magic to solve it just to give the supposedly cool self-insert character some time to show off.’  ‘Yeah the self insert characters are just so lazy,  they portray themselves as badassess but they’re actually not cool at all, they always flake out in the face of danger and they act like they didn’t.’  

l  ‘Yeah, luckily you are all going to enjoy this.’  Mel smiled as they all entered a room known as the ‘transformation room’,  and it looked like a meditation room of sorts.  ‘Oh wow, this is so awesome looking.’

Corey and Oats explored the room as did Piff,  he found a magical energy orb and used it to charge supernatural energy into his body and used it to bring some of his artwork to life, an annoying background voice piped up: ‘That fish is not using real artistic skills, he is wearing magic, magic slop user, booooo.’  Only for Piff to tell him to go ‘suck on a peanut’ and turning the person into a funny fish mascot wearing tropical colored shorts.

Which was followed by a look into the room. ‘So Ozzy, you didn’t tell us you knew of the metamorphosis room that Mel used to use for her nightly meditational transformations.’ ‘Well she told me in the adventure before this one. Anyway, we are going to use this room to help prepare Mel for her transformation.’

They had lunch for a bit before having some snacks and preparing Mel, Ozzy gave Mel a special amulet resembling the crucifix necklace he often wore and chanted as some of his supernatural energy and aura entered her body,  possessing her and giving her some of his attributes as she levitated in the air.  ‘How does it feel?’  ‘Nice, actually. I was expecting it to be like those awful painful transformations that some people in the freakendope community have a thing for but this is way better.’

‘I am glad you like it.’  Ozzy taught Mel how to unlock her inner darkness and how to use some amazing dark powers as Piff looked in the mirror and saw his reflection turn into a monster version of itself, laughing manically.  He looked and he saw the fish-monster from his nightmares just looming at him with piercing red eyes but giving him a hug afterwards as they all had afternoon tea together.

Afterwards they all gathered to practice for the ball as Ozzy took on the role of mentor,  an hour later they all entered the lounge and had dinner which was made courtesy of Piff, which was followed by dessert and afterwards Mel emailed Jill about their adventure,  followed by Piff and Tangie going fishing and catching a lot of fish.

Which was followed by a karaoke session and some games and a relaxing ASMR sensation with Piff and Tangie making fish themed arts and crafts and even playing her favorite game of ‘guess the bathbomb scent’  before settling down for the evening.

Oats put on his princess night-gown as Corey put on his nightgown and they all brushed their teeth as Piff initiated a special version of this signature closedown sequence, this time the sequence was designed i the style of a heavy metal album cover and featured the animated pufferfish flying through the air with a swarm of bats over into a gothic looking mansion as a low-fi version of Crazy Train played,  the pufferfish flew through the window and landed in the bedroom as his clothes morphed into pajamas and he brushed his teeth and yawned as the goodnight message appeared on screen.

Piff used magic to open up a portal to the bedroom which they all jumped into and arrived in the bedroom as he floated into bed and kissed Tangie before giving a very special goodnight message which was: ‘Friends are all about helping each-other and today we helped our friend Mel prepare for the ball. She did not attend it last year because she felt she wouldn’t be interested in dressing up fancy but now for this year she is and she is going to dressing as the prince of darkness, so we consulted him for advice on how to pull this off and he has given some of the best help ever.  And now we are all going to be ready to help Mel rock out at the upcoming ball, and now we are all going to the land of dreams, but you can help us all have sweet dreams, so goodnight to you all.’

Everyone drifted off to sleep including Piff and they all dreamed of performing a concert in Vyond City with all their friends including  Ozzy and thus their adventure ended, but more are coming, so stay tuned.
