Piff Teaches His Fans About AI
------------------
Corey and Oats had many adventures together and even learned a lot no matter where they went or what they did and of course they were always keeping up with the latest tech and Piff was always there to help, recently Piff had been experimenting in using special types of AI to help with his projects including the Do It Yourself Fic Writer AI which was a kind of writing AI that he used to make up crazy stories and skits, Morph FX which was an AI that created realistic avatar forms that could be customized and used as disguises and Doppelganger FX AI.
Doppelganger FX AI was an AI that could be used to clone yourself or other characters (even characters belonging to other people) that didn’t require permission from the user as it created a doppelganger of them, unfortunately he knew there were people in the world that did not like AI and viewed it as this evil thing that took away jobs from real artists and these people often called it ‘slop’.
Luckily though Piff knew how to remedy that, he was with his friends in Nile Road when he came up with an idea, he was looking around at all the cool things when he thought he could do a ‘The Piff Show’ episode all about the benefits of using AI, so the first thing he did was use some magic to conjure up the set of his show and he started to run up to the stage as the announcer exclaimed…’Ladies and gentlemen and fish of all species, it’s time for the Piff Show, the Piifiest Show on earth and now everyone put your fins together for Piff, your fabulously finned host!’
Piff danced and sang as he introduced himself…’Hello fish fans, i’m Piffy and today i’m going to teach you all about how technology has evolved and how we should embrace what new enhancements come with each generation.’ He pulled out a magical presentation and began to narrate it, his presentation began with the invention of the motion picture i.e movies, going from the black and era silent era to the era of color and sound and going over various genres including comedy, horror, sci fi, fantasy, historical, romance, to name a few.
Which was followed by him showing the evolution of costumes used in movies and television including how fake blood and other wounds were applied as well as how prosthetics were often used to make an actor look unrecognizable, showcasing numerous make up designs by artists like Rick Baker including the Nutty Professor remake, the Grinch, the Thriller video, American Werewolf in London, Men in Black, to name a few and he even showed multiple prosthetic pieces and suits and even showed the different categories of movie makeup, even talking about how makeup can be used to make someone look older, he then showed off fatsuits and how prosthetics and a fatsuit both make an actor/actress look heavier than they normally would be, showcasing Michael Jackson as the Mayor in Ghosts, Eddie Murphy in the Nutty Professor, Tom Hanks as Colonel Parker in Elvis, Collin Farrell’s Penguin makeup, and Mike Myers’s iconic ‘Fat Bastard’ character from the Austin Powers universe. ‘Oh and here’s another one….’ Corey added, showing the Big Wolf On Campus episode ‘Pleased to Eat You’ which had Merton gain weight due to drinking an elixir given to him by Charlotte the spider-woman and her friends.
Mel even showed a photo of the time Nathan went as John Candy for halloween and how he had a custom made fatsuit for the occasion.
He then showed off morphing effects on a big screen while he did a cooking show segment where he made a meat dish that looked like a sea-monster and presented it to all his friends for lunch, which was followed by a look into animated movies, starting with traditional 2D animation and going into 3D CGI animation, he then sang a song titled…’What’s Your Medium’ where he sang all about the different types of art styles and how everyone’s style is different.
He also did a funny Muppets music video where he and the gang were depicted as Muppet style puppet characters and performed on stage with Electric Mayhem, which was followed by a museum tour where he did a tour of The Museum of Moving Image, and even a tour of Weta Workshop.
Which was followed by the debut of the music video for a song he made called ‘AI is Not All Bad’ which was a song about how AI can actually be beneficial in more than one way, and he even showcased the writing AI he had discovered. ‘This AI is so much more advanced than most AI it very much enables you to take control and write your own fics just by using your mind and your ideas. It’s called the Do It Yourself Fic Writer AI and oh boy is it fun.’
He demonstrated using the Do It Yourself Fic Writer AI to write a story, his story started as a ‘lost episode’ of Desperate Housewives based off as an idea Mel had in her head, basically the episode began as a normal episode only with a dark filter that made everything look like a grainy retro horror movie, the episode had a new pair of roomates move in next door to the titular housewives.
The neighbor in the episode Piff wrote up was played by Jack Black and the women suspected him of having dark occult connections due to the fact he had a death fascination, and as the episode went on - he wrote more and more insane moments and horror homages, and even elements you wouldn’t normally expect to see in a show like it, such as a scene where Bree and the other housewives were on their way to an event they were invited to only for their car to break down and they ended up in the woods, where Bree’s husband told her he was not like other men, and in a homage to the Thriller video he transformed into a demon which resembled Jack Black’s character when the blood red moon came out.
‘See what an AI can do? An AI can create anything. And this one certainly can. And if you think this is crazy, you haven’t seen anything yet.’ This was followed by the next part of the episode in which the women all screamed in terror as Bree’s demonic husband stalked them and they all ran to hide in a nearby deserted house. The house of course being a nod to Psycho’s Bates Motel, which was a nod to how the show actually used a modified version of the set.
Of course the history of that particular set known as the ‘Psycho’ house is that the house had been on the Universal backlot and had been used for many films and show including ‘The Burbs’ ‘Munster Go Home’ ‘Coming Soon’ with Jamie Lee Curtis, Modern Problems, Psycho II to name a few, and even was on the opposite side of the Whoville set from the live action Grinch movie (before the Whoville set got taken down), the episode then showed multiple demons as Piff activated unhinged mode and the story got more and more chaotic.
‘Oh yes, I bet you wished that this actually happened in the show huh.’ He quipped as it showed the scene of the demonic version of Bree’s husband about to catch up to them and Bree’s husband breaking through the door in a tribute to the famous ‘Heerere’s Johnnny’ scene from The Shining and he stalked the women as demons emerged from the walls of the house to try to take them down into the underworld, Bree screamed for her life and tried to fight her demonically possessed husband but ultimately ended up dying, and of course this ended in the big ending - that it was a nightmare.
At the end of the episode Bree screamed as she awoke in bed, she looked at her husband and was relieved to see it was a nightmare, her husband yawned and awoke as he turned around - revealing he had a pair of glowing dark red eyes and a brow resembling that of a Buffyverse vampire, it was not a nightmare. ‘So, what did you think of this episode I created? It’s crazy isn’t it? I know, I didn’t know an AI could do something this insane. But I was proven wrong.’
He then demonstrated the same on some of Mel’s old stories, adapting them into a weird anthology series. ‘A lot of people act like AI is the death of art as we know it but they are exaggerating, it is actually not that bad. If you’re an artist that is being threatened by AI, remember, you can still do what you love, you don’t have to do it’ which was followed by an afternoon tea session and a crazy monster making skit where Piff showed some strange monster designs.
Piff demonstrated how special effects can do anything from making it look like you’re flying (by levitating in the air), turning people invisible (which was demonstrated by him using a spending background altering tool to paint himself the same color as the background), making crazy creatures (by making several different food themed monsters), to even doing full blown monster transformations.
He demonstrated this by picking up a potion of sorts containing seaweed juice and he put in some monster transformation elixir and he drank it, laughing in an over the top maniacal manner as his teeth sharpened and his eyes glowed and he took on the appearance of a monster version of himself. ‘Remember, technology keeps advancing, so no matter what new things come our way, we must embrace it.’
Which was followed by a creative creature transformation compilation which showed creature transformations from movies and shows, and to wrap things all up, he cooked a special meal for everyone which they had for dinner and after dinner Mel emailed Jill, which was followed by the fish couple fishing together and catching fish.
Followed by a karaoke session and a relaxation session of sorts, as Piff and Tangie did their favorite relaxation activities including Tangie’s bathbomb guessing game - followed by Corey putting on his bat pajamas and Oats putting on his princess night-gown, they brushed their teeth afterwards.
The night wrapped up with a special closedown sequence which was activated by Piff and Tangie which had the animated fish couple that resembled them journeying through a movie studio with authentic replicas of famous locales from movies like Back To The Future, Beetlejuice, to name a few as the background shifted from day to night and their clothes morphed into nightclothes and they brushed their teeth as they floated into a bedroom set and yawned as the goodnight message appeared on screen.
Piff then floated into bed and kissed Tangie before giving the goodnight message which was: ‘Today I decided to give my fans a lesson about the evolution of technology and of course a lesson about AI. A lot of people are scared of what AI can do and while some may be intimidated by it at first or even fooled enough to think is real, it can be beneficial and helpful too. So that is my lesson for you all today, trying new things can be scary, yes but when you get used to it, you’ll learn to accept it for what it is, with or without flaws. Goodnight everyone.’
Anglo turned off the lights as they all drifted off to sleep including Piff and their all had sweet dreams, Piff even dreamed of his own zany episode based on the experience he had using the Do It Yourself Fic Writer AI tool, and thus their episode had ended but more are coming, so stay tuned.
