The Crazy Costume Caper

 Oats and Corey in.. The Crazy Costume Caper -------------------------------- Corey and Oats were always in the mood for fun and adventure even if it did prove to be scary, and what better chance for them to explore this than the halloween season, these two and their owner/friend Mel were in their house in Nile Road on Thursday October 20th, 2022 when Mel informed them they were going on a crazy costume adventure to help for an upcoming halloween party, and Mel needed help on bringing a koala costume to life along with other things, Corey and Oats were playing on Webkinz and dressing up their pets as different things, Ellie the elephant was dressed as a pirate, Amalthea the pegasus was a vampire, Frosty the labrador was dressed as a frog prince, Bojack the clydesdale was a scarecrow, Harrian the hamster was a firefighter, Sidney the koala was a gargoyle, and Peter the kiwi was a raven. The duo had lunch and a couple of hours after lunch they went to put their shoes on along with Mel, Mel suggested they bring along an extra friend so Karla the TY Koala and That Werebelushi In The Shades came with them, as a floating van materialized in the garage and they hopped off into it, the van took off and they went all over the city. Their first stop was Mitre10 to pick up some things, but after that they headed to Look Sharp. Upon entering the store they saw a selection of halloween costumes and masks and other halloweeny gear, as well as a couple of sculptures that reminded them of Spirit Halloween’s animatronics, there was a pumpkin mask that looked similar to Possessed Pumpkin. That Werebelushi In The Shades looked around, checking out the wigs and other costume items. He found what appeared to be a black and red robe with a dragon insignia on the back and he put it on, as he did he found himself changing in appearance and taking on the appearance of a certain Tim Burton character…specifically his appearance resembled that of a certain designer, and that’s when he noticed appearance-wise he resembled Glenn Shadix, as his voice also contorted to match and he realized he had become Otho, well he still had his Werebelushi traits of course and he was still himself. “I think you guys should take a look at this.” “Werebelushi? Is that you?” “I think so…although I definitely think this is what i’d look like if I was in a Tim Burton movie.” ‘You look like the Otho character from Beetlejuice.’ ‘Well yes I do but i’m still me, because you know how much I can’t stand identity death.’ ‘Yep, we sure do..’ Matthias/Werebelushi chuckled, amused and satisfied with his transformation, and also amused that he had Otho’s voice to boot. ‘And everyone says I remind them of Glenn Shadix anyway, so this is going to be a blast.’ He took a few selfies of himself as Otho and sent them to Mel’s friends, while Corey and Oats walked around and looked at the masks, there were Squid Game masks, Pennywise masks, Freddy Krueger masks, all sorts of masks and there was one of a covid microbe. ‘Hey look Corey, it’s you.’ ‘I don’t look like that, that mask makes me look evil.’ Corey thought the covid-creature mask looked nothing like him and that it made him look evil which it did, with the sharp teeth and creepy grin. Oats put on a ballet outfit and as he did, he found himself transforming as well, turning into Natalie Portman’s character Nina from Black Swan, he was still equine though as he whinnied and he examined himself. Mel found a flowing black dress and wig and put them on, as she did she transformed into Elvira. The duo saw someone putting on a yellow fist and stripey red and white pants and as that person put them on they started to grow black fur on their hands and on their feet and also all over their body as their hands grew larger, that person’s body also bulked up as their feet became hand-like, a pair of symbols materialized in their hands as they began to play a tune, as they did their teeth sharpened and they developed ape-like features. Corey recognized that the transformed person had turned into a living version of Monty, the monkey animatronic from Spirit Halloween. Another person also got transformed…specifically a woman who transformed into a living version of the Evelyn Leech animatronic, and one man who was transformed into a living version of The Possessed Pumpkin, and one who was turned into Lord Raven. ‘Hello Lord Farquaad, oops I mean Lord Raven! Sorry, it’s just that the Nate Guy on youtube calls you that name’. They saw living versions of other Spirit animatronics like Johnny Punk, Shorty, and Mr Punchy, as well as the Nightcrawler and Buzzsaw. Corey floated over to Buzzsaw…’I saw you in the movie, you were fantastic. It was fun hearing Christopher Lloyd’s voice come out of you and Nightcrawler, I hope Teddykins gets to be a real animatronic soon, because i’d love to see him as part of the group.’ They saw Bubba aka Man’s Best Friend, who was a demonic dog as well as a Terror Dog, Mr Howle, Nozzles, and even Gruesome Granny and her baby. Oats looked over at Betty Sharpe and carefully inspected her sack to see if there was something inside it. Mel picked out some makeup and then left the store as the others followed and they turned back to normal before hopping in the van as the van took off and headed to Spotlight. When they arrived at Spotlight, the gang continued their search. As they did, they looked around and saw a wide selection of costumes and masks in the halloween section. Corey looked at the costumes to see if there was a little unicorn costume for Oats to wear because he wanted to be a unicorn, and while he did see an inflatable unicorn costume he couldn’t reach it. Mel found a pair of mouse ears for a koala outfit as well as a cute witchy hat and a feather boa, while Oats found an adorable unicorn hat and pressed the hat’s paw which made the ears move, Matthias/Werebelushi found a black top and trousers and as he did he transformed into Simon Cowell but he was actually still himself and had bits of his werebelushi self in there like his fur, his powers, and his claws. “Hey Matthias…nice Simon outfit, how does it feel?” ‘Well if I am going to be perfectly brutally honest I feel absolutely awful, just kidding….I actually love this, i’m still me so I haven’t assumed the real Simon’s identity.’ Matthias responded, in a very witty manner. ‘I know how you feel about identity death.’ ‘Yes…identity death in transformations to me is utterly dreadful, and it makes no sense since turning into that character doesn’t mean you get that character’s memories or anything.’ Corey chuckled as he picked up what appeared to be a Donald Trump mask…’Hey look, it’s Trumpty. I bet Trump Cat would get a kick out of this.’, meanwhile Oats found a Marilyn Monroe-esque dress and he put it on, transforming into Madonna in the Material Girl music video. Mel found herself turning into Cheetara as she put on a pair of cat ears, and then turning into Lydia Deitz and Vampira. The group walked around the store for a bit more, as Corey laughed at the funny Trumpty mask. A couple of minutes later Mel and Matthias turned back into themselves but they thought it was funny that they got to be all those different characters and people. After they had gotten what they needed for their party they headed out and headed into the van, after heading into the van they headed back to their home in Nile Road. As they got out of the van, Oats and Corey held hands with Mel as they walked through the door and into the house. When they were there…they took off their shoes and put their new findings in the bedroom, while Mel put the unicorn hat on the table. In addition to this Corey picked up the Trump mask and put it on, briefly becoming a version of himself crossed with Trump as he went over to Trump cat. ‘We just had the best halloween shopping trip ever, the best…the selection at Look Sharp was yuge!’ he exclaimed. Trump Cat jumped up as he saw Corey as Donald Trump…’Corey…you look like Trumpy’s favorite president. Trump Cat likes this.’ the orange feline exclaimed, Corey returned to normal as he looked over at Trump Cat. ‘Thanks.’ ‘That is the best Trump mask, that is the best, all other masks look like losers compared to that one and if you don’t win a costume contest as him, then the contest is rigged and that would make me a sad Trumpy Cat.’ “It would be amazing if I did win a contest as him though.” “Indeed, fantastic.” Matthias/Werebelushi put his Otho costume and his Simon Cowell outfit in the wardrobe next to his Leatherface, Wild Bill Kelso and Jack Torrance outfits while Mel put the makeup in the bag. The group then had fun that afternoon as Jeemo arrived and they all performed some songs, but even after Jeemo left they had even more fun as they had a karaoke night and had some delicious food for dinner that evening. After dinner they had a bit more fun playing webkinz and working on stories as they also had a karaoke session in which they rocked the house. Their karaoke session ended at 8 30 that night as they ended with What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and they thanked everyone for coming to see them performing before going into the bedroom. Corey and Oats put on their night-clothes and got ready to go to bed a couple of hours later after brushing their teeth. Mel helped them get into bed as they all snuggled up and had fun, snuggling up with some koala friends and Prince Whinnious the unicorn prince. And thus with that they drifted off to sleep and dreamed about going on a halloween adventure as their pegasus bed turned into a spooky train that took them to Kinzvile where they were the guests of honor at a halloween party with their webkinz pet friends. But our adventures haven’t ended, oh no.
