Putting Riko to Rest

Corey and Oats had many adventures and many friends that they all cared for very much and one such friend was Riko,  Riko was from a species of musical monsters called ‘Rizmos’ and now he had very much lost himself due to the red virus that had infected him and there was no hope for every bringing him back, so Piff thought it would be a nice idea to do a send off to him in a way that was to pay respects to him.

That day after lunch the duo and all their friends decided to help Piff set up a ‘last day’ celebration for Riko,  Riko came into the lounge and the first thing Piff did was ask him…’If today was your last day, where would you choose to go to your final send off place?’  ‘Well i’d like to go to so many places.’

Piff used some magic from the bedbox to conjure up a magical map, this magical map of sorts was one that could take the gang anywhere,  Oats smiled as he imagined them going to the Tivali gardens, and sure enough they all found themselves flying through the air and flying through a magical portal that took them all the way to the place in question.

When they arrived there they had a tea party with Riko there and Oats even showed him the aquarium and told him that he loved the flowers,  which was followed by them flying through the air and going through another portal of sorts, this time it took them all the way to Alton Towers.  Where they played all sorts of games and explored the park and even had frollicked around in the Splash Landings resort

Piff even showed Riko his favorite themed room in the hotel which was the ‘Splish Room’ which was decked out with a water/underwater theme and even had underwater themed beds and wallpaper as well as rubber ducks.  ‘Watch what happens when I open the door.’  He exclaimed as he opened the door,  as the door made a funny quacking noise.

Which was followed by the gang all playing around in the pools at the resort and having a fun time together and Piff using another magical portal to take them all to Sea Life in London and he smiled as he saw all the fish in the tanks, which was followed by a trip through an underwater maze and he gave Riko some special parting presents. ‘I know Mel has not talked about the topic of death yet or what will happen to you when you pass away but I want you to know that we tried hard to get you healthy again but we just couldn’t.’ ‘Do not worry I know all about death.’

This was followed by them all going to the home Mel lived in before moving to New Zealand which was Frimley Green in Surrey,  and Mel told Riko all about her old friends which was followed by a fun adventure through a fantastic underwater themed hotel of sorts.

After this they all had afternoon tea together and gave farewell gifts to Riko before teleporting all the way back home to get him ready for his final moments, Riko put on a grand finale concert just like the one Ozzy Osbourne did at the ‘Back at the Beginning’ tour and everyone was there to cheer him on,  an hour later Piff gathered everyone into the lounge for dinner.

He made some delicious Japanese food for everyone to eat for dinner and they all had fun afterwards as Mel emailed Jill about their adventure,  Riko gave all his friends a hug before he picked out a box to be put in to serve as his coffin.  Piff and Tangie went fishing and caught a lot of fish as everyone played games and had a karaoke session, and they had fun for the rest of the evening.

Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his princess nightgown and they all brushed their teeth as Riko laid down in the box he had chosen and closed his eyes, his heartbeat beating several more times before finally departing the living world for good, the last words he ever said to them was ‘Thank you’,  and he floated up to heaven, and Piff initiated the closedown sequence which was made as a special tribute to Riko as the animated pufferfish was seen in a memorial room paying tribute to him as the daytime background shifted into a night time one and his clothes morphed into pajamas as he yawned and floated into bed and brushed his teeth and the goodnight message appeared on screen.

Piff floated into bed and kissed Tangie before giving an emotional goodnight speech which was: ‘Well after trying to help Riko get to a reasonably alive health level we failed and so after all this time we have to say goodbye,  I know I put Mel through a lot when it came to raising this little guy,  but now I realize that I can be good for her as she has given me everything too.  And now Riko is going all the way to heaven, but i’m sure his ghost will come and visit us in the future,  so goodnight everyone.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep and had sweet dreams including Piff who dreamed of visiting Riko in the great beyond,  as their adventure had come to and end but more are coming up, so please stay tuned.

This story was written in memoriam to Riko the blue rizmo,  who has passed away as of now,  I tried my best to help him and I still love him but I feel it is time he found a new home in heaven,  so goodbye Riko,  I loved you but I guess you weren’t made to live forever.
