Piff’s Strange Lost Episode Adventure

Corey and Oats often travelled through multiple different places both in the online world and in the world around them and they often visited Deviantart City where they would meet up with their friends including Piff’s twin Suku who was also his biggest fan and one of the most interesting places in that online realm was the Lost Episode archive which was a huge highly secure area that contained all the lost episodes of Corey and Oats’s adventures including episodes that got censored and of course the ‘lost episodes’ which in this part of Deviantart City were twisted and dark lost episodes that weren’t official episodes but were creepypasta-esque fake episodes made to scare people,  and there had been quite a few,  recently the duo had been there and had discovered a lost episode that was themed around Piff.

The day very much started with them looking on the Deviantart City website and checking the episode guide after lunch and they checked all the episodes to see if there was any missing ones and they came across the selection,  and that was when a lost episode about Piff was discovered, the episode was titled ‘Piff Finds Out He’s Not Real’.  As per tradition with lost episodes it was not an official episode or even fanmade,  it was just one of those lost episodes made to scare people.

 Piff found it was very strange that someone would have made a lost episode about him even though he very much knew it was likely not even official, everytime he found a lost episode Piff would scan the episode to check for curses or other bad signs, the episode to him very much across as possibly cursed so  he  scanned the episode to make sure that it wasn’t cursed, and he picked up some strange readings from the special paranormal detection system.  ‘This is a cursed/lost episode alright, these are definitely not real episodes of our show. I mean look at this one,  this one is Piff’s Murder Spree. I don’t recall being a serial killer.’  ‘Piff, you do like a lot of violent movies.’ ‘Liking the work of Quentin Tarantino does not make me a psycho.’  

He went through the episode selection screen, all of the actual official episodes were there but Piff was put off by the ones he knew that were lost episodes, he found that not only were there were several ones about Mel doing horrible acts as a monster but also ones about him including ‘Piff Finds Out He Isn’t Real’,  he selected that episode. The episode began as a normal Corey and Oats adventure with the gang in the lounge talking about what they’d like to imagine themselves as if they could be anyone or anything in the world, but Piff in the episode was uncharacteristically depressed.  ‘Why can’t people imagine a better world without people who make us question what is real and what isn’t?’  ‘Piff, what’s wrong, you seem depressed.’  Corey inquired.’   ‘Do you ever wonder if we’re all not real?’

‘What do you mean not real?’  Oats responded to Piff in the episode. ‘I mean look, I don’t even think i’m a real fish.’  ‘Why not?’  ‘Because a voice keeps telling me I was made artificially and that I was made with AI.  I’m not a real fish, i’m not even a fish…i’m…a machine…posing as a fish.’  Piff broke down in tears in the episode as he began to peel at his face, ripping it off to reveal a cybernetic version of his own face underneath as he cried in pain, his body becoming metallic as he contorted grotesquely into a robotic menacing fish-monster that rampaged around.

The robotic fish-monster that was once Piff terrorized all his friends in the episode as messages saying ‘Love is not a real thing, love is artificial, like AI.’  ‘You never will have friends, or have a wife who loves you,  you will never be happy, because happiness is not real.’  

Tangie broke down in tears as she saw the episode ‘Oh Piffikins, you wouldn’t do that to your friends would you?’  ‘Of course not.  I know my animated self was created with a magical animation spell that is comparable to using AI but I am a real fish that has feelings. And this episode is clearly trying to portray me in this manner.’

Piff watched the episode and he was horrified as he saw the grotesque robotic-monster version of himself killing off everyone in a homage to the movie Chopping Mall, he saw the revenge scene warning message flash blood red as he cried. ‘They made me a killer, why?  I’m just a good little fish.’  ‘I know you are Piffy and you wouldn’t harm anyone.’  The episode ended with almost of the supporting characters dying in a pile as the corrupted robot-fish-monster leered over with a sneer…’No one knows love is real, love is artificial, AI is artificial, it can never replace real art but it can replace you.’

‘Enough, this episode freaked me out.’ Oats exclaimed.  ‘Yeah I agree, you would not act like that, Piffy,  you are my sweet fishy cake and I love you.’  Tangie added.  ‘Yeah who cares if people think you ain’t real,  you’re very real to me.’  ‘Yeah, you always will be.’  ‘Guys, thank you for that.’  ‘No problem,  that’s just what hate demons do. They are a species of fictional monsters in the online universe that exist to feed off suffering and corrupt innocent people, true they may be human when they disguise themselves but their disguises are always daft and silly and you should not listen to villains who want to use you like that.’

Piff nodded…’It was so real though.’  ‘That’s what one of them did to me in that creepypasta adventure from two weeks ago. Remember how it made me hallucinate that I was peeling off myself open and turning into a monster?  That’s how they work.  These demons prey on suffering and anxieties and use their influence to corrupt people into becoming like them, and they do not know what they’re doing is bad.’  ‘That’s true.’  

The little pufferfish lightened up as  they played games, as Mel explained the creepypasta dimension…’The creepypasta dimension is an odd one, it’s very much where almost everything is like a bad modern horror movie.’  ‘I saw things a fish should not have seen.’ Piff added. ‘That’s what the creepypasta dimension does to people, Piff, it makes them see things they don’t normally see.’

‘Maybe a good demon can help you.’  Mel used some magic to summon the former villain Sr Hellismo who used to be a dark gameshow host and the host of a show called ‘Fatal Games’ which was basically a twisted gameshow where players bet each-other’s souls,  this villain was featured in the movie as well as the fan-made sequel.  ‘Mr Hellismo,  I know your demon powers in the movie work differently than they do here but did you ever manifest as the voice that tells innocent people they aren’t loved?’  ‘The voice is just one of many forms I turn into.’  ‘When you were the voice in the movie and you coaxed Nicolette into sacrificing her sister because you told her she was unworthy of love, did you mean to do that?’ ‘Of course I didn’t. I acted out and used her.’

Which was followed by them all having afternoon tea and some snacks together before Piff overcame his fears that were brought on by the horrible creepypasta,  he used some magic to make it a more wholesome episode and made it about him and Ollie the onion going to the park, they all had dinner afterwards and Piff even got to make some delicious food for dinner and after dinner they played games.

Mel emailed Jill about their adventure as they all played games and Piff and Tangie went fishing as they caught a lot of cute fish and they all had a karaoke session together and played games followed by an ASMR session including Piff and Tangie’s favorite bathbomb scent guessing game.

This was followed by Corey putting on his bat pajamas and Oats putting on his princess nightgown as they all brushed their teeth and got ready for bed, Piff activated the closedown sequence, this time featuring the animated pufferfish exploring a virtual online maze and finding a cozy underwater bedroom and snuggling up in it as the background shifted into a night-time one and his clothes morphed into pajamas, the goodnight message materialized on screen as he yawned and brushed his teeth.

Piff floated into bed and he kissed Tangie as he gave the goodnight speech which consisted of: ‘We conquered our fears today as did I. I know that we all feel like we’re made up to be different roles sometimes but we are all part of one big show and it will keep going and going afterwards, and now it is time for another part of our show to begin, the dreamtime.  Goodnight everyone, love from all of us.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to sleep including Piff who had happy dreams due to the happy thoughts in his head and thus their adventure had ended but more are coming up.
