WB Reviews: Grosse Pointe Blank.

 Werebelushi:

Welcome back to Aykroyd-Mania here on my show.  I'm a very dark and twisted person, and sometimes I just need a movie that screams 'this is made for you' and luckily I have found the right one, presenting 1997's Grosse Pointe Blank. What starts out as a simple reunion for Martin Blank turns out to be all out mayhem and destruction, and it is glorious...I love chaos, I love destruction, I love bloodshed, I am a little psycho. And this movie has everything for my inner demons to be satisfied by, a kick-ass soundtrack including David Bowie's Under Pressure, a terrific cast and so much fire...so much fire and destruction And also Dan Aykroyd playing a bad guy, icing on the cake. I love it when an actor who normally plays a hero/lovable character plays someone who is the complete opposite of their normal roles. He looks so happy to be evil too, I mean dementedly singing 'She'll be Coming Around The Mountain' is just a stroke of genius. I love me some dark!Aykroyd and wish he would did more of these roles and no Christmas With The Kranks doesn't count.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

As an Aykroyd who just loves to cause chaos,  I agree...I love Grocer. I'd have him in my army if I could.

Werebelushi:

You have an army?

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

Did I say I have an army? I meant that it would be most alarming...that's it. *in thoughts* 'Good one Matt,  that way Mr Werebelushi doesn't know of my plans and isn't likely to turn em in if I ever get in trouble'.

Werebelushi:

I heard something about an army.  Are you sure you don't have any evil plans?

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

Me?  Evil plans? Never.  I would do that.  *to himself*  He's onto me, if he finds out about my plan of making an army of Evil Dan Aykroyds my plans will be ruined and I will have to consider a new line of work.

Werebelushi:

There you go again,  again with the evil Aykroyd army.  You're hiding something from me aren't ya?  Something sinister and creeeeeeeepy.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

I might as well as admit it,  I am doing this bit where I act like a villain to be your foil and I am working on an Aykroyd army, not for world domination purposes though because that is an overrused cliche.  *he smirks*

Werebelushi:

You did this before and it didn't work.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

Last time half of the army got killed. So i'm doing it again and making sure I don't end up with another failure.

Werebelushi:

How many times have you tried this?

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

30, at least this year.  But I won't fail this time, I promise.

Werebelushi:

If we end up dealing with an Aykroyd epidemic because of you, then i'll know it didn't fail.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

I'd definitely say Grosse Pointe Blank is underrated and worth a look if you like action movies or just like having a badass time with a badass movie.  Also Grocer for DLC in Mortal Kombat 11 please, that is all I ask for.

Werebelushi:

You're just saying that because you'd want to play as Dan Aykroyd.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

Yes, but psycho!Aykroyd is best Aykroyd and would make for an awesome fighter in MK or even in Dead By Daylight as a Killer.

Werebelushi:

If you're one of the poor unfortunate people who hasn't seen Grosse Pointe Blank yet,  what are you waiting for? Go and see it, man..go and see it. It is awesome and everything the inner killer in you will love.

Matt/Were-Aykroyd:

Indeed. *he chuckles*
