The KING of Halloween

The KING of Halloween

Dan Aykroyd TF/Were-theme and virus elements, also contains horror references.

NOTE:

This is the sequel to A Bad Case Of Aykroyd-19, it is one that involves my character and involves a bit of development as to why he sometimes hates having to deal with loss and his coping problems.  It also has nods/references to The Simpsons and the 1989 version of Pet Sematary and Friday the 13th, Legend and Nightmare On Elm Street.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A lot of people have attempted to understand or translate what they think these stories are about but i've finally decided...if you're going to to do Monstermaster13 right, you have to do it yourself.  And as ol Stephen King says...i'm gonna 'scare the hell out of you'.  It was October 31st, 2020 and like with every year Nathan was getting into character for the season by working on his creation,  he was going to work on it with Mel but something happened to her a few hours prior to his arrival,  he tried contacting her and calling her phone number but nobody was there.  'Where is she? Mel should have been here by now.'  It wasn't like her to be late,  especially not on nights like this where all the monsters came out to play.  'She lives for this stuff, how come she isn't here? I'm seriously worried.'  Meanwhile over at the apartment of the marsupial-girl he was best friends with...the Were-Aykroyd that used to be Melanie 'Mel' Sanders was waiting around with the others for the call, he had a plan and he was looking forward to putting into action.
"It's all hallow's eve.  We should be receiving the call from your friend anytime now."
"Patience, Nathan will call us."
"I hope he will like us."
"Oh I am most certainly sure he will,  after all...we're supernatural and he is too. I hear he's got vampire attributes, which could come in useful."
"So are we going to convert him into one of us?"
"Well I have another plan in-store for him."
Darren 'Mother' Roskow picked up the phone from the table and made another call, calling Nathan's number. 'Hello, you've reached the Forester residence. How may I help you?'  'We're looking for someone.'  'Let me guess, Jocques Strap, Hugh Jass, Amanda Hugenkiss, Maya Normous-Butt.' 'No, you...we''ve heard a lot about you.'  'And who might this be?'  'This is Mother, i'm a friend of Mel's and we're waiting for you to call her because we have a surprise for you.'  'This better not be a prank.'  'Oh it's not, believe me good sir, this is no prank.'  'Fine...i'll give Mel a call.'  Nathan picked up the phone and called Mel. The Were-Aykroyd that used to be Mel picked up the phone and using a duplication spell, made himself look and sound like the brown-haired koala-girl.  'Hello Nathan. How is it going on with you and the halloween project?'  'Mel, thank goodness. I'm worried about you, you're not usually late for the halloween festivities. Unless some monster has got you.'  'Oh? Really?  Well...I mean, help! These psychopaths captured me and took away my powers and transformed me into one of them and I can't fight back, please come and help me!'
Nathan put down the phone and used a teleportation spell to teleport himself over to Mel's apartment, hoping to go and rescue her.  He used some of his powers to check and see if the area was clear, so far all he could see was monsters minding their own buisness,  that is until he heard what sounded like Mel's scream and ran towards the door,  that's when he saw her, she was sobbing and crying.  'It's alright Mel, i'm here. Let me help you.'  'Oh thank goodness you're here.'  'Well it looks like you're all in one piece, and they didn't transform you...you look like your normal self. So what's going on here?'  'Looks like you fell for it.' 'What?'  Mel chuckled to herself as a sly grin crossed her face as she slowly morphed from the koala-girl form she had been using to fool him, into the Were-Aykroyd form she or rather 'he' had obtained as a result of being turned via the virus. 'Gotcha!'
He sort of recognized the Were-Aykroyd as Mel because he wore the same signature colors as her and even had a police badge with a koala ear insignia on it, the insignia obviously representing the ears of a koala.  'Oh no, Mel. What have they done?' 'What do you mean?  I think they were helpful to me.'  'But look at you, you're a clone of Dan Aykroyd.'  'Technically I am a Were-Aykroyd.  All of these guys are, and they're my friends.'  'You let them get to you?'  'Austin helped me, he used his aura transference technique.'
"Mel...what did they do to you?"
"Well they showed me a really good time and taught me some new tricks.  And what you just saw was one of them."
"But look at you..."
"I know, isn't it great?"
"I wish I could have saved you from this."
'Looks like the one who is going to be need to rescued is you.'  Nathan looked up and then looked behind him, hissing slightly in reaction as he saw Grocer from Grosse Pointe Blank who leap over to him and zoomed around him, firing away and grinning like a a mad-man as he did so. 'Grocer? But you're supposed to be dead. I saw the movie you're in, you got killed by being hit with a television.'  'I never die. I never give up. That's part of my powers.'  'I don't want you coming after me though. Because I don't die and I don't wanna buried in a pet cemetary, I don't want to live my life again.'  'Oh we're not going to bury you. We just want you to join us.'  'Why would I join you?'  'Simple, because we can all work together and have some fun this year.' He backed away a few times before unleashing some dark energy attacks.
"I'm not going to allow this."
"But you have to, besides.."
"I know where this is going."
"Besides, we're not so different...you have powers, we have powers."
"So you know i'm half-vampire?"
"Oh yes...and that fascinates us."
Nathan hissed a little as Grocer, along with Sgt Tree watched him. 'Hmm, you are an interesting specimen. Half-vampire, you must be able to truly unleash some dark powers on your enemies.'  'Well yeah I can. But I don't like having to be vindictive or mean, I don't choose to be vindictive.  I don't like being the bad guy.'  Which was most certainly true, he had been judged by his recent actions as a villain, all because he acted cruelly and vindictively towards the loss of someone he cared for, but it wasn't like he had any control of himself though...after all, it was the fault of his evil self who was Corey Feldman that the person he cared for the most was the one he vilified and punished by being turned into a Poke-doll, a living Pokemon doll that still had human organs and still had human thoughts and emotions -  and permantely keeping them in a stage of being a first evolution so they couldn't evolve and could stay young forever.  He knew he was a horrible person, every single thing that those people who his dark-side went after and punished didn't do anything wrong, he was the one who slighted them,  he treated them unfairly and vilified them,  which wasn't how he liked to be treated.
He didn't choose to be vindictive or cruel, he didn't choose to do those things, he tried to be nice whenever he could, but sometimes it just came out, this vile hatred towards people who didn't deserve it, this evil side of him that pretended to act sorry and acted like it wasn't his fault,  this maniac that didn't listen to reason and stalked those who supposedly wronged him. 'Ugh...this is is why I gave up being human, well a complete human that is. I hate having to deal with this. I'm half-vampire, I should be having these problems with emotional pain and jealously and paranoia. Whenever someone blocks me on DA I always think that it means they hate me and would hate me IRL. Whenever a friend leaves me, I feel like they never want to see me again.  I'm an asshole.'  'Shhhh...it's okay.' 'No, it's not. I'm a dickhead, i'm a creep, i'm a prick. No wonder this happens to me so much. I'm an asshole, i'm as bad as Chevy is.'
"There there, it's okay...we can help you."
"How?"
"Well...we know how you feel. And we can help you to feel better."
'You can join us...if you want to. We're not going to force you or anything.'  'You're not?'  'Of course not, we're here to help you after all.'  Nathan broke down in tears a couple of times but then stopped, there was something about those words that soothed  him and made him feel better, Mike Weber comforted him and listened to what he had to say. 'We all have parts of us that we don't like, unfortunately in my case it's 3 little things...actually 4 little things.'  'I know, those kids must be a handful.' 'Indeed they are and i've only got two arms.' 'I feel bad for you, man.'  The half-vampire nodded, feeling sympathy for Mike and showing some of his more compassionate side.  He felt something there he had been missing, and that was relief...he was finally able to share what was ailing him with others and he was glad about it.
"You guys are really helpful. And you understand me."
"Of course we do, you opened your heart to us and we will do the same for you."
He looked up at Vic for a few seconds and couldn't help but be hypnotized by his eyes, those eyes always did look like he had some dark powers up his sleeves, like he had a dark edge to him,  like he was different from the other Aykroyd characters. Nathan looked around for a bit and stretched his arms, he was tired, and also a little bit thirsty...wild-eyed in his misery, he thought that the Aykroyds were all timeless in their finery and he admired them and viewed them as friends, friends who understood him, he understood them too...there definitely had to be a high price for their luxury.  Within a few seconds later,  he felt into a trance-like state and drifted off...and as he did, he had one of those dreams he always had.  But this time it looked like he was in the boiler room from the Elm Street franchise only...Freddy wasn't there.  Which was odd because usually whenever he had one of these Elm Street related visions/dreams Freddy himself was always right there with him,  it didn't feel complete without him.  'This feels oddly quiet and depressing without Krueger to liven things up. As terrified as I was of him at first, i've thought of him and Jason as my friends.' He thought for a few seconds as he explored it, feeling a little bit nervous...but while Freddy wasn't there, one of the Aykroyd characters was...specifically Jimmy Flaherty from Celtic Pride along with Austin Milbarge.  'Odd, I don't usually see you guys here. At least not often, oh I keep forgeting how much times this happens.'  'It's alright, we're here to help, come on...follow us.'  'Are you sure?' 'Yeah, come on.'  He followed Jimmy and Austin,  through the boiler room and over to what appeared to be a clearing.
The clearing had a wired fence surrounding both sides, but one of the other side he could see his friends from the Simp Central Discord server,  they seemed to be glad to see him. 'What are you guys doing here?' 'Well..we were brought here by those guys and we know of your dreams and want to see you use your powers.'  'I don't know, i've never used them in front of other people before.'  He shly looked over at them while also holding the glowing heart-shaped amulet, this amulet always seemed to comei n a number of different variations and shapes, each one had mystical powers.  He had once seen one that resembled the infamous Rolling Stones lips logo and that one gave him the ability to sing and dance like Mick Jagger himself.  The heart-shaped amulet was a recurring element in his dreams, as he was always wishing for things in them.  The amulet would always glow whenever he made a wish or thought about it since the being inside it could read minds. He held onto the helmet and looked over to the overside where the crowd of friends of his where, it was like a palace of sorts...with all the things he liked including horror movies, collectibles he had on his wishlists and Aykroyd as far as the eye could see, there was even a mystic haunted yard filled with monsters.  He had seen the mystics play there, once or twice but he knew they had a reason. The enchantment played its cards alright, hand in hand along with the workings of the seasons too.
"This is the place of legends..."
"Yes, king it is...a place for you to become legendary and loved by all but especially by us."
"A legend?"
"Yes,  legends can be now and forever.  They are always there, teaching us to love for goodness sake."
"Oh yeah...and now and forever loved by...the sun."
His friends were calling to him as the Aykroyd characters followed him, the wired gates opening as if by supernatural magic as a version of himself who appeared to be a fully Aykroydian version was there waiting...he looked like a mix of Elwood and Mike Weber, as if both characters were his inner Aykroyd and combined to make that persona. After all two and two go so close together, whether there is hope that is torn apart.  This was only the beginning of the tale, and hand in hand the beginning is at the start.  He followed his friends and followed his Aykroydian self to the place,  his friends greeted him and helped him get adjusted, one of them even admiring his amulet and wondering where he found it.  Nathan never exactly knew where that amulet came from but it was always there and sometimes he woke up with it.
"Is there anything on your mind?"
"Well..."
He blushed a little bit, feeling embarrassed about it...it didn't feel right to express this at first, but he knew his friends were helping him to love for goodness sake and to become legendary.  He knew he could trust them, he had been thinking about those Were-Aykroyds a lot  and that one dream that had started during the first wave of the COVID epidemic, that dream of the more light-hearted and less dangerous Aykroyd19 virus and all those Aykroyd characters running around, he had been thinking about Aykroyd a lot and he blushed.  He admited that he admired him and saw himself in him, he even admired his Aykroydian self for being so all-knowing yet kind to his followers, he hated having to deal with his more negative attributes. He hated having to be mean or vindictive or cruel, he didn't want to act like that,  he hated everything about that...he didn't decide to act like that, he was against it,  it's just he was terrible at coping.  'I wish I could be loved like Dan or my Aykroydian self for that matter. Look at him, he has this wonderful place and to some extent now so do I.'  'Is that you want?'  'Yes, I want this.'
Nathan nodded, as that was what he wanted to wish for...he concentrated and closed his eyes as his amulet glowed, signifying the wish was going to come true. A song echoed as the amulet glowed, a song that sung of all love's eternity, it shined so bright in all the songs of love's un-ending spells.  He felt a much brighter aura enter his body as his evil side, Corey Feldman..found himself being pulled out of his body. 'Noooooo, you can't do this to me, you need me!' 'Sorry Corey, but you took over me and made me lash out against my friends, you vilified people who did nothing to me. And you put me through so much hell this year and now I tihnk it's time to say goodbye.'   Corey hissed and attempted to attack him but Nathan cast a spell on him, a powerful lightning spell that weakened him several times, he knew it was the right spell since only lightning strikes all that's evil.
This was all part of the lesson, teaching him to love and reach for goodness sake, Corey slowly faded away into the shadows and disappeared. But knowing him, Nathan prepared himself just in case he was to make a return. He used his magic to turn all of his evil self's victims back to normal from being Pokedolls including his former friends. That's when he saw Dawn Bellwether, his favorite Zootopia character, she looked like she was wounded and needed help so he healed her with his powers. And as he did, he found himself slowly turning into a perfect copy of Dan Aykroyd himself but with a few unique twists.  A few hours later he awoke from the dream feeling a bit strange.  He was greeted by Austin Milbarge.  'How did you sleep?' 'Pretty good. I vanquished my evil self and turned all his victims back to normal,  I made up for all the bad things I did and my friends were all there to help me.'  'Hmmm...very good.'   Austin examined him for a few seconds before inspecting his neck.  'What do you see?' 'That amulet is the same one from the dream.'  'Yeah it is, that always happens.'
"Did you wish for something?"
"Yes...I wished to be as loved as my Aykroydian self and as Dan himself."
"Did it come true?"
"I don't know...has it? All I remember is Vic hypnotizing me."
He stretched his arms as he awoke, and as he did..the amulet was glowing and giving off radiant energy, it seemed that while he was sleeping and dreaming..Vic had been conditioning him further and transfering Aykroyd19 into him, but he didn't feel any different...that's when he began to feel a little bit unusual, he watched as his skin slowly began to lose its imperfections including the scar he had gotten from surgery as it also gained a ruddy complexion, looking quite earthy and healthy as it aged up to 68 years,  he definitely now looked a bit more mature than normal but he still retained some of his ageless qualities. In addition to this his dark button up shirt with the gothic spider ensemble slowly started to strain against his chest and torso which was growing and swelling.  In addition to that a small selection of brown hairs had grown on the top half of his chest, the hairs didn't ocmpletely cover it, but still...there was even a bit of hair on there going downwards to his naval area.  These hairs started off as the same color as his hair normally was only to darken as some of them spread on his arms, his arms themselves broadening while his hands grew in size, he wondered if he should be worried. 'Am I transforming?' 'It appears you are and you're becoming one of us already.'  'I am?'
"Yeah...and might I add that you look good."
"Aaaaw, you mean that?"
"Yes..."
His stomach gurgled a few times as it rounded out, making him look quite homely and chubby. He had a secret soft spot for heavy-set builds and larger character transformations were always some of his favorites, it's just he never got to do these ones more often and he wished that he could.  He examined his transforming body and he blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed but ultimately he was liking it...he thought that being turned and would be a nightmare for him but it wasn't. His spider theme boots seemed to creak and tear open in a few spots as his feet grew within them, enlarging as two of the toes took on a slightly webbed appearance, he wiggled those toes too and it felt kind of nice.  He had a bit of difficulty adjusting to his build but he was able to keep his balance as his legs streteched and broadened a bit,  in the process his rear plumped up, making him look like he had quite a bit of junk in the trunk. 'Mmmm...dummy thicc, I like that.'
"Oooh, look at you.  You're coming along nicely."
He looked at his body for a few seconds and chuckled as his back and shoulders broadened, it didn't hurt or come across as traumatizing,  he only had felt mildly ill before when he started getting the virus after it was transferred into him by Vic but it didn't do anything to him that was fatal...it rather just transferred it into his system and thus was altering his DNA, giving him some Aykroydian DNA which in turn was altering his body,  he slowly shot up in height to 6'1 as he groaned a little, his neckline altering as his hair darkened, shortening a little but becoming wavier as his eyebrows thickened. His brow and forehead altered, he definitely thought he was 'coning' as the people on the server often described it as his eyes widened, one turning green while the other remained brown.  He blushed, he never thought of himself as attractive, mainly because he didn't care for looks and on most occassions preferred not to be seen,  but he was starting to feel better about his own self-consciousness. In addition to this he felt an itchy sensation as his nose twitched, growing and broadening as a little indent materialized down the middle, his lips pursed and became a bit more kissable.  His features plumped up as they took on a more Aykroydian appearance,  his teeth brightening in the process while his voice deepened and altered, smoothening and contorting and blending itself into a voice that suited his appearance. His voice and appearance both looked and sounded like they belonged to Dan and not himself, and mentality-wise he was beginning to think that he was him and that this was natural.  All his memories slowly melded with Dan's, making him think he had always been like that and that was okay, he didn't ask for anything else...and his boys were more than happy to help him.  These Were-Aykroyds weren't harming anyone they just wanted to help.
"I understand it all now, youu're not evil. You're just misunderstood. I was wrong to judge you."
"Exactly...and there's something we'd like you to do."
"Name it."
"Would you please become our leader?"
"I'd like that."
With a bit more conditioning from Vic he fully accepted who he was and willingly let the transformation finish, traces of the old 'Nathan' fading away as Dan took over completely, creating a new Were-Aykroyd that had some unique half-vampire traits and dark magic at his disposal, the new Dan was accepted among his new friends. He learned to control his Aykroydian traits and combine them with his horror love and expertise and he knew of the perfect plan to help his 'friend' with the halloween event, and chuckling to himself.  'M-O-O-N, that spells halloween. Also it spells moon.'  The Aykroyds converted the apartment into a haunted one for a special haunted tours and Dan invited everyone to the apartment and once everyone arrived they had a blast with all the real monsters/creatures running around.  Dan also got inspiration from a horror comic that the former koala-girl's friend had,  the comic was a horror comic about a dark supervillain named Dr Arachroyd, he looked rather like Dan himself but with an outfit that had a spider motif to it and he had two sets of minions, one group was a race of humanoid rat-people and the other was a race of humanoids with elongated heads which were conical.  Arachroyd's lair was like a high-tech haunted attraction with multiple rooms including a rave area made with a spider web motif...perfect for enticing heroes to fall under his power, and this inspired him a lot.
'This will be perfect'.  He thought to himself as he got to work desigining his own half of the apartment, creating a perfect replica of Arachroyd's lair complete with the web area and transformation chamber used to do the experiments. And thus with that, the plan came into full effect and halloween had been won by this motley crew of Were-Aykroyds and their leader.  As for what happened later,  Dan did morph back into 'Nathan' afterwards but he didn't remember much about it, thinking it was just a dream and that he dreamed it all, that is until he realized that it was indeed real...now he was a Were-Aykroyd and not just any old Were-Aykroyd but the leader of all these Aykroyd characters.  He looked out the window and saw the moon turning a ghostly shade of green and it was also full,  he transformed back into Dan and thought to himself. 'Now that's silly.  Now why would some think that it wasn't real? Of course it was real. This is a city of monsters after all and this is my kingdom, and I am its king. The boys are my crew, the people on the server are my followers,  I can do anything now.'   He didn't mind his current predicament at all, especially once he found out he could use some spells to hypnotize and turn others. The 80's Soundtracks radio station was playing as he sang.  'Sorcerer, who is the master?  Man and woman on a starstream, in the middle of an snow dream. Sorcerer, show me the high life. Come over, let me put you on ice.'
And thus here he are at the moral of the story, sometimes the monsters we have to conquer are ourselves...even though it may seem easy to hate on others for being different and to view them as the villains, sometimes they can't help it, sometimes we can all be a bit mosntrous and vindictive and crazy and say things we didn't mean to say, sometimes we all fail at something, whether it be achieving a goal or coping with loss or coping with being blocked,  and sometimes the worst monsters out there aren't on the screen but inside us,  as cliched as the 'human are monsters' trope is, sometimes it can be true.  And remember to stay safe out there this year and the next, happy belated anywhere.  If my story scared you,  i'm sorry it did...but that's my job. Oh and there's no such thing as Were-Aykroyds, or maybe there is. Nah, this is just a story after all.  I mean, Were-Aykroyds...what a stupid idea, that will never catch on.  Hey, wait a minute...i've got a message on Discord. Hang hang on, let me read it. 'Dear mr narrator, we heard what you said and we're going to get you. Love from Grocer and also Vic.'  Wait...those guys are here? Oh crap,  they just found out. Aaaaaah! Aaaah! Aaaah!  Get away from me. Oops, sorry there...what I meant to say is that Were-Aykroyds aren't stupid and they are real.  And i'm one of them now...they're all real, and they're coming to get you everyone, they're coming for you.
