Oatsie’s Very Lucky Chinese New Year Special

Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats always had the best adventures and had the best chemistry as a duo and even with their gang, and of course the horse that helped start it all was Oats,  Oats or ‘Oatsie’ as he was called was a brown horse (anthropomorphic of course) who had black hair and brown fur and a white muzzle and he was male but had feminine aspects to his personality,  of course the best part to him was his playful and silly personality and love of feminine things.

He was a timid horse around strangers but he was friendly and easygoing. And everyone loved him,  of course he loved to celebrate with all his friends and he was especially excited for a celebration he knew would bring him luck,  which was Chinese New Year,  and this year it was going to be an extra special one.  Each year came with a different zodiac animal and this year, you guessed it,  it was the horse.

Of course Oats couldn’t wait to celebrate it,  their adventure began on the morning of February 17th, 2026 and right after they all had breakfast together Oats headed down out for a walk with Mel and Corey,  Mel often would visit the mailbox and go for a short walk, usually there would be little to nothing in the mail,  but it was worth going just in case.

Oats galloped over to the mailbox and opened it up -  he saw what appeared to be a red and gold envelope with a horse broach inside it,  the envelope read…’For a very special and regal equine,  have a very happy lunar new year.’   ‘Mommy mommy, look at what my fans have sent me.’  ‘Yes it’s a very lovely necklace, Oatsie.’   ‘They know it’s the Chinese New Year and you know what,  I really want to celebrate.’   ‘We haven’t done a Chinese New Year special, do you think we could do it?’  ‘I do not see why not,’

Piff smiled as he used some magic and he activated the opening sequence to his show known as the Piff Show as the theme music played…’Ladies and gentlemen and sea-creatures of all species,  it’s time once again for the Piff Show, the show where all sorts of fishy antics happen and now everyone clap your hands together for your fabulously finned host,  Piffy.’

He danced up on the stage as he introduced himself and his show…’Today I have a special guest host with me, he’s equine, he’s pretty, he’s lovable, say hello to Oats!’ Oats trotted up on stage as he hugged Piff. ‘I am so honored to be your guest host today.’  ‘Well I heard that it is the Chinese New  Year and the year of the horse. And I knew we had not done a Chinese New Years special yet so I thought this would be the perfect chance to do so.’

‘Oh thank you. Thank you.’  The show began with Oats putting on a performance of the Chapell Roan song Pink Pony Club, which was followed by a series of fake trailers for movies as well as the premiere of brand new music videos made by Piff,  which was followed by a crazy mashup segment.

This segment took place in Hong Kong, specifically the West Kowloon station and had Piff, Corey, Oats and the gang on the train heading for the town center for a festival, when all of a sudden demons started possessing people that were on the train and Oats used some magic to fend off some of the demons.  ‘Phew, this was not what I was expecting.’  Oats admitted. ‘Looks like you guys could use some help.’  ‘Well yes, actually.’

Piff looked and he could not believe what he saw -  he saw Rumi,  Mira and Zoey from the hit Netflix film K Bop Demon Hunters who also happened to be on the train.  ‘Wow, you three girls are also hitching a ride?’  ‘Oh yeah,  this is where the big festival is taking place and per crossover rules, this is precisely the part in the fic where we meet.’   ‘You don’t say? Well actually you do,  but hey, we’ve met before and we transformed some lucky fans into your guys too.’   ‘I bet they really liked it.’

‘Yeah, so do you wanna go fight some demons?’  ‘I thought you would never ask.’  Corey, Oats, Piff and the gang along with Mel teamed up with the three Huntix band members and battled all sorts of demons as the train sped up.  Piff watched as one of the passengers got possessed and started turning into a demon,  he looked in the book he had bought from the gift shop a couple of hours ago.

He took a look through the book and found a page all about demon transformations and all the ways to cure someone from being a demon - and Oats looked at his broach, as he did so, he saw that the broach was made of a mixture of copper and gold and silver-  copper and iron being protective metal elements and silver was a way to repell creatures of darkness away, he charged towards the demon possessed passenger and pulled some silver chains out from the floor and used them as a lasso,  grabbing the possessed passenger and putting some holy water on him,  turning him back to normal.

A menacing muscular demon resembling the creature Dwayne Johnson turned into in the movie adaptation of Doom roared and attempted to attack Mel,  but not before Piff used some magic to repel him…’Sorry,  but this is for being in nearly every single recent action adventure movie since 2017!  This is for bastardizing Doom!  And this is because you’re a villain who deserves to die!’’  The demon roared as he was repelled by Piff’s magic, complaining that Piff shouldn’t do this to him because he was a leader of a high elite demon squad.  ‘You?  A demonic meathead, who very much sucks at anything else but representing one reason why the actual Dwayne Johnson is overexposed?  I don’t think so.’

“Yeah i’m sorry but it’s true.”

The demon was relinquished by Mel and Piff as the train stopped and the gang along with Piff and the K Pop Demon Hunter trio stepped off the train and headed towards the festival,  the segment ended with the gang performing in concert with Huntix and Oats leading a parade as the grand marshall,   which was followed by several fake trailers including a trailer for a martial arts movie team-up featuring Piff as his samurai persona Takifugu Yojimbo teaming up with Jackie Chan to fight off monsters in the town square.

Which was followed by a cooking segment with Oats and Piff and Piff showed Oats and his fans how to make dumplings which he made for lunch,  which was followed by the gang being transported into the movie Big Trouble in Little China and taking on Lo Pan and his henchmen known as the ‘Storms’,   Piff even got a laugh out of seeing Thunder inflate himself.  ‘Hey, when he’s all blown up, Thunder looks just like you, Piffy.’   ‘Yeah he kind of does.’

The gang all took part in a festival and got to make horse decorations,  Piff even met Pikachu and the two of them got to ride a horse in a parade which was followed by a lantern making competition and a play all about the zodiac,  the show got even crazier with a series of infomercial parodies and music videos.

Which was followed by Oatsie doing his own show which was a fashion show,  and this was followed by the gang all having snacks together followed by afternoon tea and they all had a wonderful time together.   Piff helped the gang have a special oriental dinner party, and after dinner they all played together as Mel emailed Jill about their adventure.

Piff and Tangie went fishing and caught a lot of fish and after fishing they played games and had a karaoke session before relaxing for a couple of hours as the fish couple did their favorite activities including Tangie’s bathbomb scent guessing game,  and they had a relaxing time together.

Afterwards they all got ready for bed as Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his lucky red and gold nightgown with pink colorations on it as they all brushed their teeth, and Piff and Tangie initiated the closedown sequence which featured the animated fish couple in the style of Spirited Away using magic to create a floating bed as their clothes morphed into pajamas and they floated all the way into the bedroom and brushed their teeth,  the background morphing from day to night as they floated into the floating bed and the goodnight message appeared on screen.

And Piff floated into bed and kissed Tangie before giving the ending speech which was: ‘We did our very first lunar new year special today and it was a lot of fun, Oatsie definitely had fun being a princess at the festival and we even worked it into an episode of the Piff Show which was a plus and now it is time for us to go to bed, goodnight.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off and went to sleep and had sweet dreams including Piff who dreamed of the festivities he experienced that day and thus their adventure had come to an end but more are coming up soon.
