Channeling A Ghost Expert

Channeling A Ghost Expert
Dan Aykroyd TF.

Nathan Forester had always felt different..like he didn't belong,  he was always the strange and weird one nobody knew what he was..all they knew was that he liked monsters and had powers himself,  he felt afraid and alone.  Even on forum parts of the online universe, his creations were viewed with scorn rather than  love or appreciation and this upset him deeply.  The people out there who viewed him as odd didn't understand him or his creations, they claimed to but they didn't get it...they didn't understand why he did the things he did.

Always the anti-social type but due to his own shyness,  he would spend his time in the lab working on his creations and rarely showed up during the day,  he would spend the rest of it doing missions and mainly went out at night.  He was half-vampire, on his mother's side and had unpredictable morphing powers.  He often had conversations with creatures other people couldn't see because they didn't have the gift he had.  The monsters that often visited him were luckily very friendly and welcoming.  Way back in 2012 he was perusing the scummy forum district of the already scummy Daloli-verse where he encountered a mysterious woman,  she had a dark aura around her and what appeared to be tattoos on her arms and neck,  she looked like a punk rocker trying to go goth and she had a certain look to her.

He had encountered this wicked woman before,  in the Blues Brothers Central dimension...she banished him due to his dangerous ways along with That Werebelushi In The Shades and his family.  'What's that woman doing here in the Daloli-verse?' is what he asked himself at the time, he never thought she would be the one to still hold a grudge but she was,  and at that time she loathed him and hated him,  she even went so far as to harass him and try to separate him and Werebelushi.  But as the years past and the Daloli-verse wars ended,  she mellowed down..eventually warming up to him and seeing him for who he truly was.

A few flash-forwards later,  it was now the year 2020 and Nathan was looking back on those events with a mixture of embarrassment and bemusement.  'Forum districts were always my least favorite place to go.'  'Did that woman ever say anything to you which was oddly prophetic?' 'Kind of,  I remember saying that she could be the Aykroyd to Werebelushi's Belushi,  but she also said something about waiting until he is dead.'  'That woman always has to bring up death doesn't she?' 'Yeah, she is obsessed with it what with being part demon and all.' 'Maybe you could be that Aykroyd instead...'  'Me? Nah...'

"Don't you think it's plausible?"

"It's extremely plausible...it's just the personality test I took from ages ago pretty much said i'm a Belushi,  not an Aykroyd.  But yet...it's like looking in a mirror whenever I watch an Aykroyd movie,  it's like i'm watching myself."

"See?  You are similar..."

"You mean i'm a socially awkward adorkable type that loves music, believes in the paranormal and is a singing fool?  Why yes...oh my goodness, you're right! I am such an Aykroyd...and that's a twist I didn't see coming."

Nathan blushed,  having realized that his best friend Kevin was 100% correct...as much as he regretted it,  he was very much Aykroydian.  He chuckled as he adjusted his glasses. He loved music and he loved performing,  but he considered himself to be shy and awkward for a show like those 'Got Talent' shows or The Voice.  That is when he thought that regardless...he had a great time,  he always did.  'Would you ever consider going on Broadway?'  'Already did that.'  'And you're quite a good actor'.  'You really mean that?'  'I sure do. Say, do you believe in those online-verse curse things?' 'You mean from those web-universes where you have to pay in order to become a magic user or something?  Everyone knows those are frauds.  Almost every single one of those is a fraud.'

He was about to check through his music playlist to see if there any songs he could recommend to his online-verse companions when he was overcome with a tingling sensation that was sweeping through his entire body,  his skin slowly lost its imperfections...including the scar he got on the left side of his neck. His arms slowly broadened as did his chest and arms, his stomach also puffed up a bit...but not too much.  He examined his altering frame as his hands enlarged,  he gasped a little bit as this happened.

His legs altered to match his arms,  as he noticed his feet undergoing a peculiar change...two of the toes on both feet were fusing and becoming webbed. 'Hmmm...webbed feet, but no slimy green skin or other amphibian traits.'  He watched with fascination as his changes progressed further, his back broadening while he slowly shut up in height to 6'1.  His shoulders broadened while his neckline altered,  his clothing altered to fit his build, still with the signature spiderweb insignia on the front of his shirt though.

He felt his hair with his hands as it straightened itself, shortening a bit and darkening as his eyebrows thickened and arched.  His forehead furrowed itself as his eyes widened, one eye turning from brown to green and the other remaining brown.  His nose widened and restructured, a tiny dimple also materializing as his features slowly morphed and reshaped themselves...his nose itched,  and he scratched at it for a few seconds before sneezing.  'Sorry! Hmmm...my nose twitches but i'm not a witch and i'm not turning into a rabbit.'

His features continued to morph and reshape themselves,  morphing into those of Dan Aykroyd, which made him blush a little as his teeth brightened. His voice deepened and contorted to match his appearance, slowly shifting in pitch and tone to align perfectly with his appearance, eventually even fully matching it...thus giving him Aykroyd's voice.  He kept his regular personality throughout but gained several new ones as his transformation finished,  he gained some of Aykroyd's memories as a finishing touch.

"How does it feel?"

"Weird, but extremely fascinating..."

"See? I told ya...you're an Aykroyd."

"Aaaaaw, everyone knows that I am one.  The personality test must have not known that, and put me as a Belushi instead because they didn't know of my intellectual prowess and unique gifts, it's a shame that I didn't find out sooner."

Nathan/Dan blushed and chuckled to himself in an adorable manner,  as he began to think of what he could do and as he did,  he began to hear voices...not in his head though since that was normal, but ones coming from down the hall.  He closed his eyes for a bit as he visualized what was making the sound,  he saw what appeared to be a young woman with dark brown hair wearing a red dress,  the woman looked over in his direction and hissed...her skin turning bluish-grey as her teeth sharpened and her eyes turned blood red.  'I saw something...'  'What did you see? That woman is a supernatural being.  I can sense it.'  'How can you tell?'  'Psychic abilities for the most part, also I guess that kind of makes me like a Grimm.' 'A Grimm? Like Nick?' 'Yeah, a Grimm can see into the heart of darkness and sees things no one understands.'

'What's it feel like to be Aykroyd?'  'Interesting...i've only been him a few times but it's growing on me.'  'Is this all normal for you?'  'Yes, turning into different people is always a normal thing for me,  others may think it's weird but not me. I certainly don't.  This is me...no matter who I am.'  And thus Nathan/Dan and Kevin bonded together and decided to go on a monster searching expedition,  the whole experience bringing them closer together as a friend.

Don't let people determine what you're like and what you're going to be,  unless you're one of those special types of people that are in a league of their own and are in their own wonderful world,  being weird isn't uncool or disgusting...it's okay to be bizarre and unusual, don't go changing for anyone.  After all, you're an Aykroyd...and being an Aykroyd is the best type of SNL persona to have due to being oddball and quirky but intellectual and fascinating and full of interesting traits.
