Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats went on many adventures together as a duo and with their friends and extended family and celebrated holidays and even birthdays, and of course they celebrated Squishmallow Day.  Squishmallows were first created in 2017 with the first squishmallow ever invented being Cam the calico cat,  and since then they have become a go to favorite.

Especially during the pandemic when they became hugely popular among adults seeking comfort,  and so because everyone loved squishmallows so much the people at Jazwares i.e the creators of Squishmallows thought that there should be a day to celebrate them and course that day would ultimately end up being March 7th, 2023.  March 7th, also known as National Squishmallow Day had been going for 3 or four years to celebrate the magical world of our squishmallow pals and of course was successful,  because there would be things like mini pop up attractions where you can get free squishmallows, play games, and win prizes, and even giveaways on the website and competitions.

Mel always took part in these competitions even though she knew lots of people entered them,  she hoped one day that she’d win them,  but she always knew to celebrate Squishmallow Day and it just so happened that day was yesterday,  on Saturday the 7th of March,  just after morning tea the gang all gathered together for a fun day of planned squishmallow festivities starting with a squishmallow design contest where they designed some kooky squishmalllow designs.

Which was followed by a squishmallow dance party and a buffet of delicious foods for lunch and some treats before a little trip to Squishville via a magical portal,  upon jumping through the portal they arrived in Squishville just in time for a special squishmallow party that was going on,  the party was a special squishaversary party hosted by Cam the cat.  Piff got up on stage and started to sing as various fish squishmallows joined in.

“Now this is definitely a party.”

“Yeah,  Squishmallow day rules.”

“And so do squishmallows.”

Followed by a special presentation on the history of Squishville including the very first squishmallows and the evolution of the town and a special music video debut of a brand new song by Piff titled ‘Have A Squishtastic Squishmallow Day’,  which got a lot of views and attention from fans and Suku (his pufferfish twin) even shared it around.  Which was followed by a trip to a squishmallow amusement park, where they went on various rides including a squishmallow haunted house with friendly monster squishmallows in it.

Which was followed by a special fashion parade where the squishmallows on parade wore amazing outfits and a special afternoon tea party with all their squishmallow friends,  which was followed by Piff showcasing several storyboards for scenes for an upcoming Squishmallow movie project he was making.

This was followed by a special squishmallow awards show presentation where several squishmallows won awards like they are at the Oscars,  which was followed by a special feast before they all said goodbye to the squishmallows and jumped through the portal and arrived back home at Nile Road just in time for a squishmallow party set up by Anglo.

They all had dinner together and after dinner they all emailed Jill about their adventure including Piff and Tangie who went fishing and caught a lot of fish,  which was followed by a disco of sorts where the fish couple shared a romantic dance as several fish squishmallows cheered them on, which was followed by a game session and a karaoke session.

This was followed by a relaxation session with Tangie and Piff doing their favorite relaxation activities like bathbomb sniffing and playing Tangie’s bathbomb guessing game and even a squishmallow inspired imagination session as Corey and Oats put on their night-clothes together and brushed their teeth.

Piff activated the closedown sequence featuring the animated fish couple as squishmallows in an underwater play room as the background shifted from day to night and their clothes morphed into night clothes as they yawned and brushed their teeth before landing in a slumber party room with squishmallows as the goodnight message appeared on screen.

He floated into bed and he kissed Tangie before giving the goodnight speech which was: ‘9 Years ago today Squishmallows were first introduced to the universe and now the squishmallow train keeps chugging and chugging, with many new friends joining the family,  and of course every March on the day of the 7th since 2023 we have celebrated Squishmallow Day,  have you and your mallow pals had a good day today, we sure have,  we hope you all have sweet squishmallow dreams, goodnight.’

Anglo turned off the light as they all drifted off to dream land and had sweet squishmallow dreams including Piff,  and this their adventure ended for the day but more are coming up soon, so stay tuned for more.

Thank you for all enjoying this story dedicated to Squishmallow Day and squishmallows in general, my favorite toy brand and my favorite friends in general, my first squishmallow was Lola the unicorn or as I call her Lalorona the unicorn and since then I have been collecting them an adding them to my collection on Squad App,  I have over 192 squishies on my wishlist that I hope to find and over 70 on my list of squishies/squishmallow things I own and my overall squish count is 34.   I will continue to update it as I get new members to the family.
