Piff’s Wacky Backdoor Pilot.

Corey and Oats had many friends that they had many adventures with, one friend who had gotten a lot of attention was Piff who was a cheeky anthropomorphic pufferfish who was known for his curious nature, tendency to get in trouble and his funny antics. Piff’s antics became viral when Mel made an animated video of him singing the Taiyaki song and lots of people loved him.
Because of the popularity he had gained Piff expressed countless ideas for a spin-off series of adventures that were about him and Corey and Oats and also the staff at Nile Road, he wanted his own spin-off show that was all about him and Tangie and his friends and he asked Mel to help.
Mel used some special magic from the bedbox to show them all a special mini-world based on what a Piff spin-off would be like, as Corey and Oats watched. The intro for the spin-off came on a special screen, the introduction with titles that read ‘Kibatsu Boken Obu Piff’ in Japanese (which translated to ‘Wacky Adventures of Piff’).
The show intro featured Piff getting up all to sorts of antics like hanging out with fish-girls at a bar, baking cakes with Tangie, going swimming, entering a karate contest, and even fighting off trading cards at a comic shop, before it showed the very first episode. The first episode started with Piff’s neighborhood which was an underwater city inspired by Spongebob Squarepants. Piff’s voice exclaimed…’Wacky Adventures Of Piff is filmed in a bathtub!’
Corey and Oats were in the apartment in the show when Piff came in making a wacky entrance and the audience cheered. ‘Hello Piffy, you seem unusually happy today.’ ‘That’s because my issue of Fish Culture Magazine has arrived.’ Piff swam up to receive the copy of the magazine he had ordered.
It was established before the opening scene that Piff in the episode had ordered a magazine subscription to quite a few magazines including Fish Culture Magazine, Aquarium Lovers, and some others. ‘Oh yes, yes! Look at these.’ ‘Wow, something you ordered actually turned out good?’ ‘Yeah, unlike when I subscribed to Lewd Fish Magazine.’
There was a flashback of Piff subscribing to a supposedly adult magazine full of pictures and articles featuring fish-women of different species, and in the flashback he was disappointed when he saw that the magazine he got was not what he thought he had signed up for, but rather a magazine dedicated to lute playing and featured anthropomorphic fish playing lutes.
In the episode Piff was happy to get his magazine issues and read them before he got excited at seeing a furniture store advertisement. ‘Oh boy, a sale! I hope the bathtubs are half off today.’ ‘Oh Piffy, you and bathtubs.’, he decided to head out to the furniture store with Corey and Oats, when he entered the store he got excited.
He began to run around in the store, heading to where the bathtubs where and he was taking photos. ‘So many bathtubs.’ He could not believe his eyes when he saw there was a contest where the winners could win a solid gold bathtub and a tv. ‘Ooooh, Tangie would love this.’
Which was followed by him signing up for the contest and partaking in it, where he performed a musical number and ended up winning not only the bathtub, but the tv as well and the tv had access to all the Sky channels as well as some channels he didn’t know of like the ‘Fish Channel’. ‘So far Piff I love this show.’ ‘Yeah, it’s so funny.’ ‘And you incorporated your love of bathtubs.’ ‘Oh yes, watch this.’
In the episode Piff returned home to Tangie who was dancing to some catchy pop music. ‘Hey Tangie, look what I won today.’ ‘A solid gold bathtub?’ ‘Oh yes and a tv. The question is, which one of the free bath bombs I got would you like? Would you like strawberry, blue ocean, coconut, raspberry, strawberry or peach?’ ‘Blue ocean sounds romantic.’
Piff dropped the bathbomb in the bathtub as he and Tangie jumped in together, and it gave off a lovely scent. ‘Ooooh, I think this is my absolute favorite scent.’ ‘You love it?’ ‘Oh yes Piffikins.’
They swam around in the bathtub and kissed each-other as everyone cheered. Which was followed by a scene of Piff telling a fish joke to his friends. ‘Why did the Japanese fish get upset at the sushi restaurant? Because the order was not his, it was Wong!’‘So do you think I can get a spin-off?’ ‘Piff, your show has a lot of potential, some people may not get the fish jokes, but that’s okay, you are Piff.’
‘Do you think it would be a hit with lovers of talking fish?’ ‘Yes it would.’ Piff showed the duo a couple more episodes as they had lunch and some delicious snacks, the episodes Piff showed were the episode ‘Piff’s Beach Resort Adventure’ which was a homage to National Lampoon’s Vacation, ‘Snatch the Pebble From My Fin’ which was an episode where Piff went to a kung fu class.
“Oooh that kung fu episode was fun.”
“I like all of them, what about you Oatsie?”
‘The episode where Piff goes on Rupaul’s Drag Race is my favorite.’ Oats responded. ‘Piff, you know the last time we had a backdoor pilot episode it was with Ratty and well…we didn’t have a good time with it since we were tricked into it and also Ratty spent the whole episode being Ratty.’ ‘Absolutely. He visited a toilet shop and laughed at toilets and used Jill’s ID to buy lewd magazines at an adult store.’ ‘But this, this is a backdoor pilot we actually enjoy. It’s uniquely you but features us as cast members, it’s not exclusively centered on you, the jokes are all you and suit your personality. And it’s an adventure I can actually see happening.’
Piff presented an episode that was a halloween special where he investigated haunted locations in Japan in a humorous parody of those videos where people go to abandoned places, a valentine’s episode where Piff and Tangie went on a boat ride - among others.
“Wow Piff, you made a whole series and a pilot episode?”
“Yes, I thought ahead.”
‘This definitely has potential to be a fun fish comedy show’ ‘And you already are a viral fish superstar with your animation videos and fishy humor, this would make your fame even bigger.’ ‘Thank you guys, you really know how to make me a happy fish.’
They all smiled and had afternoon tea before playing some games and Piff gave Tangie a kiss. ‘This show is fintastic and I am sure Ursula and the sea squad would totally love to watch it.’
Piff explained he wrote all the scripts for each episode and that he was glad his work was getting a lot of positive attention, he showed his spin-off show to his friends and emailed a screenplay to some of them. They all gathered around for dinner and had delicious food.
After dinner they all played games and Piff went fishing with, showing off the fish he caught and he kissed Tangie as he emailed Jill about the adventure they all had, and he shared the screenplay of the spin-off he created. They had fun playing games for a couple of hours.
An hour later they had a karaoke session and then got ready for bed, Corey put on his bat pajamas as Oats put on his pink night-gown, as Piff and Tangie put on special coral print sleepwear and went into the bathroom. In the bathroom they all brushed their teeth.
When they finished brushing their teeth they went back into the bedroom and jumped into bed, snuggling up together as Anglo turned off the light, they all said goodnight to each-other and drifted off to sleep.
As they drifted off, they all had peaceful sweet dreams as they did so - with Piff having the best sweet dreams as he dreamed about a date with Tangie that took place in an oriental garden.
And so their adventure came to an end but more are coming up.
