Losing a loved one can be a very conflicting and traumatic experience and at times it all feels like a series of bad dreams that never seems to end, and that's exactly how Robert felt after his beloved father passed away. His mother was trying her best but she was also falling victim to an illness, specifically a type of pneumonia and he had spent 6 days in the hospital with her as she slowly got better. Of course it wasn't easy for him, but he did have his laptop on hand and communicated to his friends and watched videos to past the time, one show he caught up on was Bojack Horseman. He was a huge fan of the show and he liked how even characters like Beatrice had a sympathetic side to them, in fact it was Beatrice who he felt the most bad for and when he found out that she died in the Free Churro episode, he was heartbroken.
She may have been a fictional character but to him she was very real and he thought about her a lot and also thought about the ordeal Bojack went through, he knew that even though she became jaded and bitter as she got older it wasn't her fault, he knew it was her messed up childhood and the way she was raised and the way that she lost her brother, father and husband that made her turn out like that, he knew of her fear of loss. One night while he was watching the season 4 episode Time's Arrow he decided to do his own little fan-story but just as he got to write the middle part of the story the screen glitched and he began to feel dizzy, he started spinning around several times as he felt a little bit sickly.
The odd thing was though he wasn't physically sick, he had never been one to come down with illnesses before. He started to cough a few times as a tingling sensation started creeping all over his body - which came in the form of creme-ish fur slowly sprouting on his body starting with his arms and hands, his arms slowly shrank down a bit and loss a bit of mass while his hands shrank to match and a pair of long white gloves appeared on them, he looked at his blue hoodie and saw it morphing and changing as it lengthened, turning into a white gown of sorts while his workshoes turned white and his feet slowly shrank. The fur had now spread to his legs and feet, his hands still remained humanoid as did his feet. His fingernails lengthened in the process from within.
"I think i've seen this dress somewhere before, and this fur too!"
Despite the feeling of the fur creeping all over his body, he wasn't in any pain or wasn't in the least bit uncomfortable...in fact he was kind of entranced by it as his chest slimmed and became more trim, his stomach slimming down in the process as his hips inflated, a mild sensation was sensed down bellow as his privates retracted and reshaped but he did not mind this at all. His back and shoulders shrank down a bit while gaining some curves, his hair slowly turning from dark brownish to blonde as it became longer, styling itself into a mane of sorts while his ears developed points and shifted to the top of his head..making him look like he had horse-like ears.
His eyes widened a little as eyelashes blossomed forth around them, on his chest a pair of round formations developed outwards and formed into a pair of breasts as his neckline lengthened, two white necklaces formed around his neck as his appearance slowly began to soften and feminize, his teeth brightened a bit as his face slowly pushed out into a half equine muzzle as his lips became luscious, pink lipstick applying itself on them as a flower appeared in the middle of the top of his new dress. A diamond shaped marking appeared on his forehead as his voice elevated itself higher and higher in pitch, becoming softer and also feminine as it developed a sardonic edge to it, his mind following suit...he recognized his new appearance and voice, they belonged to the character of Beatrice Horseman. He was becoming Beatrice, and he even now was developing her voice which was the voice of actress Wendi Mallick. He held his head a bit as his mind shifted, new memories and a new personality taking over, that personality was Beatrice's.
A few seconds later and Robert had been replaced with Beatrice as all her memories came back to her and how she was mistreated and how she lost the ones she loved, and most importantly of her son Bojack, even though she didn't usually think much of him, all that she wanted to do was care for him and make sure she didn't lose him, even if she had odd ways of expressing how she felt about him, she cared for him and that's all that matter. Beatrice looked over at the computer screen before looking over at the picture of herself with young Bojack, it was a picture that made her feel glad he was her son and it was one that defrosted that legendary heart of ice that she often possessed. She felt a lot happier knowing that Bojack had kept it with him all these years, and even though at times it seemed that Bojack was distancing himself from her, he still loved her and wanted to please her.
"Aaaaw...you know, this makes me feel a lot better."
She got inspired as she started to write up the rest of the story, adding in her own personal experiences and also adding elements from her experience as a mother, since Butterscotch never got to publish any of his works...she decided to help by sending the unpublished novels to numerous companies and they became best-sellers because of this. She later finished up the rest of her own story before settling down to relax and enjoy her time.
And thus with that, she sat down and relaxed as she reminisced about the good things she earned from this experience, she knew that she would definitely be doing more of this from now on. A couple of hours later, Bojack arrived with what appeared to be a news team, the team had come to do an interview with her for the local literature club about her stories and also about the novels, which she obliged and gave an interesting and thought-provoking interview.
As for what happened later, the new Beatrice was fully happy with herself and with how everything turned out and she learned how to be more open and that it was okay to show weakness and that having emotions wasn't a bad thing unlike what she had been mislead by her father into believing, she learned that it was alright to cry. And those were just a few of the things that she learned on that night, she had learned lots more as well.
Remember my friends, losing a loved one can indeed be traumatic but don't be afraid to speak up or to make your voice known, having feelings is not a sin and it's alright to be upset, peeved, furious, or even frightened. And even those who have a heart of ice can find happiness if they look hard enough, having feelings doesn't make you weak at all.
