NOTE:
This deals with the topic of 'villain-haters' and people who make bizarre pairings and also discuses people who compare the character of Dawn Bellwether to Donald Trump despite the two of them being different. This also explores the meaning of the word 'monster' and what it means, and also has a friendship/close bond theme as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a young artist named Shadowranger42 - his real name was Stanley Cordich but they called him Shadowranger online, and he was notorious for some pretty unusual pairings of fictional characters but the most bizarre pairing came in the form of a pairing he did of the character Dawn Bellwether with politician Donald Trump, solely because he thought the two of them were similar, and it was that kind of thing that made the pairing even more horrible due to the comparisons.
This offended and horrified Nathan who happened to discover upon said works and he wasn't afraid to speak up about it, but Stanley didn't listen and acted like your typical villain hater who claimed to understand the character. That is when Nathan decided to speak up to him and tell him how he felt.
"Stanley...I don't like this.."
"Why?"
"Because it's not right. It's wrong. Dawn is a fictional anthropomorphic sheep who is the surprise antagonist in a hit Disney movie and Donald Trump is a real life former tv show host, business-man and now politician who is the current president. He has been divorced twice, has kids AND grand-kids, has been married three times, is currently married to Melania and above all - he's a real life human...okay, a real life orange human but still a real life human."
"What about your pairing of Christopher Walken and Selene from Underworld?"
"First things first, that's not Walken - that's the Hessian from Sleepy Hollow, a character he played. Second, your TrumpXBellwether pairing is bizarre and I don't think you understand her at all."
"But I do..."
"Do you? I don't think so.."
"What do you mean?"
"I think you could learn a thing or two about what it is like to be in her shoes..."
"Oh?"
Nathan winked and as he did a blast of supernatural energy shot out of the computer screen, forming a whirlwind of sorts which blasted Stanley towards the wall and knocking him on the ground for a few seconds, luckily though he recovered quickly but he began to feel kind of sickly and a little afraid, he then felt like he was being watched for some reason. His mind started to race as he envisioned tons of yellow eyes glowing in the dark belonging to creatures that he definitely suspected were going to hunt him down.
These thoughts he was having...they weren't his normal thoughts, this was paranoia brought up on bad experiences. Bad experiences he was starting to remember about said creatures and how he was supposedly treated, as he began to vividly imagine himself trying to escape from what seemed like a never-ending nightmare, he panicked when he saw his skin slowly smoothening and softening as it became pale, in addition to this bouncy white wool was slowly sprouting all over.
The wool was spreading across his torso and chest and also on his back as the former and latter both slimmed and lengthened, a pair of round formations swelling outwards on the chest area, expanding and becoming what were commonly known as breasts. His skin imperfections had now completely faded as his clothing slowly altered from its usual look into a short dark red tank top and jeans as the wool spread down his legs.
His hands started shaking as they shrank a little in size, his nails hardening and blackening as they fused, altering to give his hands a more hoof-like appearance. The hooves were still very flexible, in addition to this his feet altered in the same manner. His hips expanded as his privates retracted, being replaced with the more womanly variant as he shrank a little in height, his shoulders folding inward as his back gained an arch. A small, fluffy sheep-like tail slowly grew out of his new rear as he watched the rest of the changes happening, he didn't know how or why - but he was definitely starting to feel like he was weak and powerless against the 'predators' that he was envisioning.
He started to break down and cry several times as his ears shifted to the sides of his head, extending to become ovid in shape as his hair 'fluffed' up, turning from dirty brownish to a silky white color, his eyebrows thinning as his eyes widened, turning a vibrant shade of green as eyelashes blossomed around them. His appearance shifting to become more animated as his features softened and feminized, a pair of glasses was dropped around his eyes as his face slowly began to push out into a cute half muzzle of sorts, becoming a very cute and feminine looking one.
Without even needing a mirror, he could see he was definitely looking a LOT like Dawn herself, even wearing the same glasses and with the same cute and cuddly appearance and the same extremely fluffy hair-do. He panted a few times and as he did, his voice elevated in octaves, becoming higher and also very womanly, shifting to match his appearance and giving him the voice of the character he resembled...which is to say, he sounded a LOT like Jenny Slade. His or rather personality shifted to become that of a very timid but at the same time adorkable sheep with a fear of predators and a bad case of night terrors, a few seconds later there was no Stanley...there was Dawn.
Dawn adjusted her glasses as she ran all the way up to Nathan, giving him a hug and sobbing softly. Something obviously was troubling her and she wanted to tell him about what it was and she wanted someone to keep her company, to her it was no fun being all by herself with no one around. Nathan was the one friend she could turn to, always there whenever she needed him.
"Oh Nathan, thank goodness you are here..."
"What is wrong, Dawn?"
"This picture....of me and Donald Trump...together. It makes me upset and makes me paranoid at the same time. What if everyone thinks I am like that? What if everyone thinks of me as being like him?"
"It's alright Dawn, that picture scares me too. It frightens me that someone would do that sort of thing about you. You are not like him, you're better than that. That picture is a discredit to you and what you're about. You're a lot more complex than most people think, you're tragic and misunderstood. Kind of like me...except, you know....a sheep."
"Aaaaw...thank you that made me feel better."
"You are quite welcome. You're not the only one who's been getting the Trump comparison treatment. I've been getting that in my visions a lot with people, even my own allies - comparing me to him and mistaking me for him. And in this visions I end up becoming him for a bit as well and that leaves an icky taste in my mouth. Why just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. It's truly an embarrassing experience. "
"You have night terrors too?"
"Not always but when I do....they're usually pretty nasty."
"So i'm not alone?"
"Dawn, no matter what anyone tells you. You are not alone. Although your loved ones may not or cannot guide you. You aren't alone in this world...not by a long shot. You may think you're alone here but you are not."
"You really think so?"
"Absolutely...no one truly is alone. You may only have me and a few others beside you, but still you're not alone. You are never alone my friend. For there is always someone on your side to help you.."
"There is?"
"Yes...although your loved ones aren't here now...who knows what they'd say? You're not a lost cause, you just need someone to care for you and make you feel better. Someone who knows what it's like to be in your shoes. You may think you are alone in this world but there is always gonna be someone who cares. There are things we do and say, right things and wrong things, who can say what's true? Although things aren't so clear now, we can still do things, do things, fight things."
"Aaaw...that makes me feel better, knowing that i'm not a total monster."
"Of course you're not. You're not a monster. The word monster is often used to refer to someone or something that is physically and/or mentally detestable. Often an aberration in both appearance and behavior. Normal looking people who behave in reprehensible ways are often referred to as monsters."
"So i'm not one?"
"That's right...from what I can see, you're not detestable at all. You've just made a few bad mistakes in your life, everyone makes mistakes - it's normal. Your mistake just happened to be one brought on by your own fears. But nonetheless, you just made a few mistakes - which is normal. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. You may have lost your way but you are not alone at all."
"Really?"
"Yes, everyone does. Not everyone is perfect. Mothers, fathers...you name it. People make mistakes, everyone makes them. Holding on to their own , thinking they're alone. But they honor their mistakes, fighting for their mistakes, because nobody is perfect. Everybody makes mistakes, and they make one another's terrible mistakes."
"Why thank you, Nathan...you really know how to make me feel better."
"No problem. A poor gal like you deserves to be redeemed somehow and who knows? Maybe you will. Nobody knows for sure, but there is always a way. Nothing is impossible and you're bound to find that piece of redemption somewhere along the line."
"You're one of the best friends i've ever had..."
"Likewise Dawn, likewise..."
"It's good to know I am not a monster after all."
And so with that Nathan reached out and took Dawn by her hoof-like hand, gently holding it as the room around them shifted to become his signature gothic bed-room with the iconic monster posters and the assortment of books on the shelves. Dawn walked over to the bed and she picked up a plush toy horse and started cuddling it.
She then saw Nathan's collection of beanie babies, and she spotted one of a lamb wearing a tutu. She read the tag, the tag had the name 'Arabesque' on it, the lamb beanie looked exactly like her sibling - who she had requested from a group of predators a long while back, she hugged the beanie as well. She knew that she would be safe here, and she knew that she could count on her new friend.
As for what happened later, the two of them snuggled up together as Nathan gave her a special item that had been given to him, it was a stone of some kind, not just any stone, but a combination of a good luck stone and a worry stone. He also gave her an item that he had gotten in his dreams, it was a special soft blanket of sorts containing various spirit/power animals on it including the ones he and his friends had. Most prominent were the depictions of a crow, a roach, a koala, and a bear. Each of the animals had a meaning to go with them which made them all the more fascinating.
Remember my friends, even if you think there isn't a way to fix errors and mistakes and that you're beyond redemption of any kind, you are not alone at all out there, everybody makes mistakes and that is normal. We all have done things that we regret doing and deep down we all wish we could find a way to fix them - nothing is impossible, remember that. And not all villains are irredeemable psychopaths or complete basketcases, some are sadly misunderstood and deep down on the inside, are human just like we are. Yes, even those who were human and then became non-human.
