Living In Darkness
Living In Darkness
Bruce Wayne/Batman (Batman and Robin) tf/mc
NOTE: This is a first personal transformation of my character into the George Clooney version of Batman from of course Batman and Robin and it is based on dreams that i’ve had and uses elements from said dreams. This is based on personal experiences too and is also to do with phobias.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We all have phobias of different kinds and not everyone fears the same, but me...I fear one thing, the dark, well it used to be the dark followed by spiders, scorpions and Russell Brand but the latter has been replaced with Trump. Yeeeah, when Katy Perry’s ex-husband now officially seems less frightening than the overgrown orange menace - you know that’s going to cause some serious problems. Anyway, I could never stand being alone by myself in the dark.
You might never know what monsters may be lurking in there and what might happen, so I always try to be prepared, but I wasn’t prepared this one time. I was on my way to my bedroom last weekend and the lights I usually had to keep me safe from whatever may be lurking or residing in my part of the neighborhood had gone out and I had to make do with torchlights on the ground and on the wall.
Thus I had to put up with two sleepless nights and even more than that beforehand, as I got into bed once again I put on my nightshirt and pants as I combed my straight brown hair and checked to see if I had missed anything, a couple of minutes later I put on my soothing music and drifted off, the first few times were unsuccessful due to the unnatural pumping sound coming from my ears.
Then again the pumping sound in my ear was a normal thing and I just ignored them anyway but the darkness was getting to me, it was getting to me in not a very good way, it was frankly terrifying me. I was desperately hoping that I would not be overtaken by this and I was hoping that maybe just maybe it would be a full moon night of some kind.
I’m not a werecreature or anything, okay I am a shapeshifter who transforms at night or whenever I get scared and the like but I wouldn’t classify myself as a ‘werecreature’ since I like the moon, it soothes me and gives me good vibes. Unfortunately for me I had seemed to missed the first full moon for this month.
I breathed in and breath out, my breath was cold - all of me was cold, and I needed warmth in addition to light. Fear was getting to me and it made things difficult for me, and the fear was only intensifying, causing me to break out into a sweat of sorts, holding on for dear life and hoping this would end soon, I was hoping that this being trapped in darkness thing would end.
But unfortunately my fears got the best of me and my heartbeat started to rapidly increase, all sorts of thoughts racing through my head as I groaned and panted in my sleep, I then saw a shadow on my wall - it wasn't my shadow, it was a shadow of a bat.
The shadow sprung to life and flew around me before wrapping itself around my body, I began to fear the worst as the shadow enveloped me, making an inky black formation slowly creep up and down my body, fusing with my nightclothes, the formation hardening and altering my night-clothes in general, slowly turning them into a sleak black suit of sort.
I watched as I saw the suit forming, it was also altering my body as my arms lengthened, my hands broadening as my skin which was usually kind of unkempt looking - lost imperfections. My chest and torso expanded a bit as my stomach slimmed down. Musculature was developing on those particular places and also on my back and shoulders as the suit began to form, it looked like some kind of superhero suit.
The suit that was forming on my body was black with a few bluish tints to it, I looked at my chest and then looked at the chest on it - blushing a little bit when I saw what appeared to be 'nipples' on it. My legs lengthened as the costume continued developing, I blushed even more when I noticed that at the back there appeared to be emphasis on the rear and also in the pelvic region.
So now I basically had an outfit that sported nipples, emphasis on the rear region and what appeared to be a cod-piece. Looking at my outfit again I could the ellipse in the middle materializing as a symbol formed in the middle of it, the symbol was one that resembled a bat. My feet had broadened a bit and were sporting black boots that went with the rest of it, my hands also now sported gloves that were of the same type as well.
A black cape that resembled bat-like wings emerged from the back of my suit as I elevated in height to 5'11, now weighing 175lbs of lean musculature. My neckline altering as the collar of the suit covered it, my dark brown hair slicking itself back and taking on a Caeser cut style as my eyes turned from their usual light hazel color to a much darker shade of brown, my eyes widening and becoming doe-eyed in the process.
My brow became a bit more pronounced as my eyebrows thickened, turning jet black in the process as my nose shifted to become a bit more pronounicated but also straight with a defined profile at the tip as my lips contorted, the philtrim above them becoming longer and giving me the illusion of having a longer upper lip.
Both halves of my lips smoothened and became quite kissable as my teeth brightened, my cheekbones becoming more pronounced as my jaw-line contorted, broadening as my chin slowly jutted out, all-together broadening and giving me a lantern jaw of sorts. My features altered as well, becoming more masculine than usual, becoming roguish and almost...yes, handsome, extremely handsome. I didn't need to take a look in a mirror to see that my appearance was matching that of hearthrob actor George Clooney, and another thing I didn't need a mirror to see was my suit.
This suit was one that I recognized rather well, it was one of many Batsuits after all but this one was from the Schumacher Batman movies, specifically Batman and Robin as indicated by the design of the suit and the 'nipples', yes those infamous nipples.
I was blushing like crazy...the fact I was essentially turning into the George Clooney version of Bruce Wayne/Batman was both kind of embarrassing and kind of amazing at the same time, then again I always do enjoy being Clooney no matter what i'm wearing. My voice deepened, gruffening, roughening, smoothening out, becoming roguish, suave, resonant and very calm and playful in nature, all-together harmonizing, becoming his voice.
My thoughts and memories shifted to reflect my new visage and voice, becoming those of the character - looking up at the shadow once more, I knew that there wasn't a reason to be afraid, for I was not only Bruce Wayne but I was also Batman, the Dark Knight. I mean dark is in the title right there, why would I be afraid of the dark? At this point my transformation was completed and I was now you guessed it...Batman.
"Are you quite alright, sir?"
"Yes, Alfred...I am alright..."
"You seemed to be quite cold and frightened..."
"I'm used to it..."
"Well you ARE a creature of the night.."
"Indeed I am..."
"I trust that you're much better now..."
I got out of bed, smiled and looked out the window of my bedroom, observing as the various barks, growls and howls that belonged to the many creatures of the night continued for a few seconds before fading away, I had no reason to be afraid at all. The darkness was my friend after all, and I always knew that.
So, I took a deep breath and gave a charismatic smile before turning to face the darkness in my room, opening my arms out wide and flexing a bit before smiling and giving a confident glare in the direction of the shadows, shadows, darkness, all of them were my friends.
"Hi darkness, i'm Batman..."
And so with that I smiled confidently and watched as the bat shadow on the wall lit up before dimming away, I knew that if the people ever needed my assistance they'd know where to find me and just how to contact me. Well as for later on, I got over my phobia of darkness pretty quickly but heck...it was easy for me, because well I like it, I actually do like living in darkness.
I grew to enjoy being who I was and spending the rest of my night like this, luckily I also got to try out the other outfits I had acquired as well so I didn't have to spend the night in this bat-suit. And you know, being like this wasn't really as bad as I initially made it out to be before. I mean sure it's from the movie that killed my name and legacy movie-wise until Bale's version but it was actually kind of nice.
Darkness isn't as horrifying as people make it out to be, in fact if you let it, it can become your best friend, a perfect ally especially if you are a creature of the night. The night is the best time if you ask me. And always remember to look out for that shadow on the wall, and that shadow is the shadow of the bat.
