Vlad To Meet You

First segment:
Vlad To Meet You.

Nathan examined the first of the surprise items that was in the box,  it was a costume of sorts,  not just any costume though but a vampire costume -  it was a replica of the iconic outfit worn by Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker's Dracula,   which was one of his favorite horror movies of all time.   He loved how the title character was portrayed and he loved the movie as a whole,  looking at the costume he couldn't wait to try it on and see what he looked like in it.

He carefully got the costume out of the box and cleaned it up before putting it on,  he walked over to his mirror and stepped into the costume,  so far so good...there was nothing out of the ordinary until he saw his reflection vanish,  he staggered back in shock as this was happening.

"Huh?  Wasn't my reflection there just a second ago?  What's going on here?"

"What reflection?  You don't have one...at least not anymore..."

"But....doesn't that mean?"

"Yesss...."

Just then a growl emitted from his stomach,  he was getting increasingly hungry...no, he wasn't getting hungry,   he was thirsty -  thirsty for one thing and only one thing...and that was blood,  it was like a Horror Hunger of sorts.   He started bloodlusting,  which is basically when a vampire or similar creature starts craving the taste of blood - in the most severe cases of it,   the victim can't control themselves or aren't in control of their actions,  he instinctively hissed several times as the lust for blood built up inside.

He panicked slightly as what appeared to be green mist surrounded him,  he coughed several times before he started to feel the bloodlust coming on,  followed by a jolt of dark supernatural energy as his aura darkened.  He panicked several times as his skin began to lose all imperfections and smoothened a bit,  but also becoming a bit rugged in appearance,  his arms and legs stretched to become more lithe as did his chest and torso, his clothing slowly being absorbed by shadows and turning into a grey Victorian era suit of sorts while his shoes blackened.

"In case you don't know it by now...you're..."

"Becoming a vampire?"

"Yes...you are.  And not just any vampire,  but the greatest vampire of all.  The king of vampires."

"You mean?"

"Yep...me..."

The voice that was echoing in his mind sounded familiar,  it sounded menacing but yet compassionate,  masculine and with a Romanian accent of sorts -  he recognized the voice,  that voice was that of Prince Vlad/Drac himself as played by British actor Gary Oldman,   that voice was now conditioning him and hypnotizing him.

Vlad's voice hypnotized him and put him into a trance-like state,  encouraging him to give in to that bloodlust of his and to embrace his developing vampirism,  as he elevated in height to 6'0 and his shoulders and back broadened a bit,  grayish gloves now adorned his hands as his legs lengthened,  his neckline altered as his hair slowly grew longer,  turning from dark brown to raven black as a top hat of sorts appeared on his head.

As much as he tried to fight it,  he couldn't resist thinking about drinking blood and he knew that humans had the best blood in the world,  human blood would definitely taste good in his mouth and it would keep his monstrous thirst at bay.  He hissed slightly as his eyes widened and darkened,  a pair of dark blue shades materializing over there as his features morphed and reshaped themselves as a mustache grew around his upper lip while a goatee formed on his chin.

His features continued to morph and reshape themselves until they took on the visage belonging to those of Vlad himself as his canines lengthened and sharpened to become akin to fangs,  he hissed as his more vampiric traits took over,  his voice deepening to become quite sinister but also very passionate in nature as it developed a Romanian accent of sorts.   New thoughts,  memories and instincts influenced him as certain words and names echoed over and over again,  those words being 'Mina'  'Renfield'  'vampire'  'bat'  'wolf'  and in particular 'Dracula'.

A few seconds later and there wasn't any trace of Nathan left,  there was only Prince Vlad or 'Count Dracula'  as he was most commonly known as.  As played by Gary Oldman in the 1992 film,  he hissed a few times before licking his lips.  Even though he didn't have a reflection anymore,  he knew that he didn't need one to see how classy and sophisticated he looked.  He picked up his cane and looked out the window,  listening very carefully to the sounds of the wolves howling and the bats screeching.

"Ah,  there they are!  My beloved children of the night."

"I must say that i've done a terrific job conditioning you into being the perfect vampire,  you are definitely ready to rule the night,  now that you're me and everything, I think you're definitely going to wow the crowds at the costume ball. I think it is time you tried out your new powers..."

"I say you definitely did a wonderful job on me.  I didn't know that embracing my inner vamp would be THIS amazing.   You truly are gifted in the art of vampirism.  Well,  expect nothing less from a true legend among vampires."

"I'm glad you like it...now I think it's time you went out into the night to satisfy your bloodlust."

"Ah yes,  that is an excellent idea..."

And so with that,  the new Prince Vlad turned into his bat-creature form and flew off into the night to go and search for victims,  maybe find himself some humans to hypnotize and turn into fellow vampires.   He soon found himself ruling the night and bringing classic vampires back -  in style.   Yes,  the king of all vampires was back...and he was ready to teach these newer vamps out there how to be real vampires.

The night had just begun for this vampire and he knew that he was going to enjoy every second of it,  he hissed proudly as he made his way to the city square.  He knew there were going to be plenty of humans he could sink his teeth into.   As for what happened later,  a box of sorts was left behind.  The box had the bat-monster face on the front to represent him.

Besides that box however was a second box,  what was inside it?  Well...wait and see. It's a surprise after all.  And you might never tell what is inside. Maybe it's something that can unlock your truly monstrous potential.  Who can say?  It's a mystery.  And it wouldn't be a mystery now if we knew what it was now would it?  Of course it wouldn't.
