‘Corey and Oats ‘story universe rules

‘Corey and Oats ‘story universe rules

NOTE: Following the Russell Brand news from yesterday I am going to be going over the rules of the universe of my stories for clarification.

The Rules:

  • As a general rule in this universe any and all famous people, alive or dead are fictionalized versions of themselves that are exaggerated for the purpose of storytelling, any sort of private behavior that the real life version is known for does not apply to these versions.  If the celebrity is one that has passed away, mentioning their death is allowed and they are represented as a ‘ghost’ to reflect their  real life counterpart passing.

  • If it is a celebrity who may have committed (or charged) or convicted in real life, the crimes of the real life counterpart do not apply to the fictional version,  it may be alluded to in the form of a joke but apart from that, it does not apply to the fictional version, e.g if I were to put Alec Baldwin in my story I would NOT make him part of a villain team and i’d make it so that he would never  harm anyone (which he didn’t mean to IRL anyway because you know, the crew didn’t know there weren’t blanks in the guns), unless they harmed his friends and also considering I have ‘Trump’ in my villain team, he and Alec Baldwin would fight and bicker which would reflect how IRL Trump reacted to Alec playing him on SNL.   John Landis in my universe is always proving that he is a good person and he has an aversion to air travel as a playful nod to the Twilight Zone helicopter crash.

  • Regarding the latter, you cannot ask for a fictionalized celebrity in -universe to be made a villain in the universe and force them to join a villain team just because of any afforementioned convictions or crimes that the real life version has been given, so no you cannot ask me to make Russell Brand a villain.  Because 1. Fictional Russell is different than his IRL counterpart. 2. He is a reformed villain and has been a reformed villain since 2016,  please see the story ‘Russell’s Redemption’, which was written on December 30th, 2016 -  for how he turns good, and also it would not bode well with the overall theme for any of my teams, you may recall that my very first ever hero team was called ‘Redemption Force’ and the major theme was helping and redeeming people/characters who had been wronged, I repeat the theme was REDEMPTION and NOT OSTRACIZING them,  and also well having my fictional Russell go back to being a villain again would not work,  just because IRL Russell is a bad person now does not mean his fictional self has to be evil again, you cannot force me to change that rule since he is a PERMANENT hero team member and also he already WAS a villain but only specifically during 2012-2015, but that only reflected how I very much felt about IRL Russell at that time, not because of anything he did.  You cannot make me change the rule, if you are concerned about fictional Russell being in my hero team,  please remember he is a fictionalized version and not in any reflective of the real person, and it is just fiction.  Also i’m just going to say this, if I replaced him with another character I would not feel right afterwards because I would feel like I was forced into it, so Russell will be STAYING as a hero character.  Plus, it never works when a character is ‘removed’ from a show just because of the person playing the character allegedly being charged with claims about them or they have to work a way around it,  like the Goldbergs did in its final season with Murray (the father) only showing up towards the beginning of the ninth season as a ghost,  it and also it only worked in my opinion with Charles in the Beetlejuice sequel. I can get Two and A Half Men’s producer’s decision to have Charlie Sheen’s supposedly killed off because at least there was some speculation (plus having Kathy Bates play the ghost of his character was a a clever and funny gag) and they actually do explain he’s still alive in the very last episode of the series. If the actor who originally played the character passed away, then it makes sense to recast.

  • Once a character joins a hero or villain team in this universe it is PERMANENT.  If any has an issue with a character or celebrity being on the team, they are more than welcome to ask about why that character or person is on the team but they CANNOT ask for the character or person to be removed, swapped out or replaced in general, the only exceptions being rejections.

  • Rejections being a very rare exception to the above rule, but it is a very rare exception as in it it is one that rarely happens. Hero teams in this universe do not have this but villain teams sometimes do if a member is considered for the team but is replaced due to multitude of reasons e.g ‘too dangerous to contain within one group’  ‘too repulsive’  ‘already a major antagonist for another character in -universe’  ‘no longer a villain’, ‘too life threateningly destructive’,   you cannot ask for permanent team members to get this treatment or get replaced because of course it is permanent.

  • You are allowed to have your say on the team as long as it does not break the aforementioned rules, whether it be a hero or villain team, you cannot ask for a team member to get removed or replaced and no, you cannot ask them to get killed off either.
