Piff and Peanut’s Saturday Bonding Adventure

NOTE: Because Scribd is being a bit slow today in terms of the uploader and yes i’ve tried all of the steps, this episode will be posted on other sites, sorry for the delay.

Everyone’s favorite duo known as Corey and Oats went on many adventures with all their pals including Piff the pufferfish,  and Piff was known for going on big adventures with the gang, and now every Saturday - they’d go an adventures all together and Saturday April 18th, 2026 was one of the biggest adventures they’d go on -  and it all began that afternoon.  Throughout the morning Piff had been excited to go on an adventure especially when he heard his ‘sibling from another mom’  i.e Peanut  was going to go with him and that it was going to lead to many shenanigans.

That adventure they all got ready as they waited for Rachel to arrive, Piff could not wait to see what the plans for this adventure would be and he listened very closely as Rachel’s car parked itself outside their home,  Piff excitedly opened the door as he saw Rachel coming and hugged her.  ‘Hey Rachel, my favorite human’s friend.’  ‘Hey Piffalicious.’  ‘I heard Peanut said something about an adventure.’  ‘Oh yes, we’re going on an adventure today.’  ‘Oh that is terrific, where are we going?’  ‘Devonport, we’re going to have ice cream there and have dinner at Takapuna.’   ‘No way that is awesome.’

‘Hey Piffy,  my new best pal.’  Peanut exclaimed as he hugged Piff.  ‘Hey Peanut,  how are you today?’  ‘I am doing great, I told my owner all the adventure you and the gang took me on and she was impressed with how much I learned.’   ‘Oh you are going to learn so much when we go out on this one, you won’t even believe it.’

‘Oh I bet I will.’  ‘That’s my Peanut, come on, let’s bond.’  The two pufferfishes bonded as Piff showed Peanut all around his new secondary home at Nile Road,  and he showed him Mel’s bedroom where all the friends were and where the council of friends was.  ‘This is the council of friends, should you ever drama or issues you want to express without people judging you, these guys are the guys you should speak to.’  ‘Thanks Piffy.’  ‘No problem.  And this is of course, the best part…the bedroom where we all snuggle.’ Mel excitedly smiled as a Tubbz Ozzy Osbourne duck was introduced into the gang as a new member as well,  also because Ozzy’s ghost was part of her group of heroes.

‘Oh yes, looks very good for snuggling.’  ‘I have my own sign on and closedown sequences for each day as a homage to the channels my owner watched a lot. ‘   ‘Yeah I’ve got those two.’  ‘So are you ready to discover yourself?’  ‘Oh you best believe I am.’  The gang all got ready as Mel put her shoes on along with Piff and Tangie,  Peanut helped gather the friends and they all headed over to the garage where the mystical floating fan was.

‘This is the floating van we use for transportation here.’  ‘Why is it called that?’  ‘Because it’s magic and can take us anywhere.’  ‘Just like my owner’s car?’  ‘Yes, exactly like that.’  they all got inside the floating van and buckled up as Piff and Tangie sat together.  Peanut sat in the front with Rachel and he enjoyed himself and enjoyed the view. ‘Lucky you Peanut, you get front seat view privileges.’   ‘Yeah,  my owner loves that too.’

The floating van took off all over the city, going all through to Takapuna, including going by several restaurants and even going past a few shops Mel recognized, Mel expressed she had her mind set on going to Claw and Art to try her hand out on claw machines because she had heard Andrea was a claw machine wizard (sort of like a pinball wizard), and also she wanted to be able to win a prize one day.

Which was followed by going further through the city until it reached Devonport, where Mel expressed that this was her old former school friend ‘Ossian’ lived but she could not remember which house he lived in,  she just remembered there being a gift shop with lots of beanie babies sold there.  When they all arrived at Devonport they got out of the van and took photos, Piff and Peanut bonding together as they walked around and took funny photos together.

They walked over the bridge and took a walk along the harbor,  Piff looked over and saw the waves on the shore and he knew that some fish would often crash onto the shore during tsunamis,  and he remembered the funny story Rachel told about how she used to be a fish but then became a mermaid once she grew too big for her fish tank and then ended up on the beach,  becoming a human and falling for her husband,  whether or not it was a true story or just made up for fun,   nobody knew - but Piff found it amusing.

Which was followed by Piff admiring all the atmosphere and they walked by a bar/cafe next door known as the ‘Kestrel’  which had the most beautiful fish tank inside,  Piff definitely wanted to see the fish tank with Tangie and Peanut,  which they did,  which was followed by them all going inside the cafe and having ice cream for a treat. Piff and Peanut sitting together as they shared an ice cream together.

Piff was in awe of the underwater theming of the cafe and in general, he was definitely in his element and he knew that Peanut was going to love it even more,  which was followed by the gang walking along the harbor for a bit more and taking photos before heading back to the van, Mel expressed to Rachel how she had a few trips she wanted to go on and had them in mind, one of them being Build A Bear in Sylvia Park which was one of her dream places to go, and mentioned about going to Kelly Tarlton’s.

Which was followed by Rachel revealing that the next big adventure would be to check out the Maritime Museum,  which Mel definitely had fond memories of going to with Jill,  which was followed by the gang all driving off in the floating van,  which took them all to Takapuna.

Upon arriving at Takapuna they all got out of the van and looked around, looking for a restaurant to go to for dinner when Piff saw a restaurant on Hurstmere that served korean food and they all entered the cafe,  they all sat down and ordered dinner - with Mel and the gang and Piff, all having calamari and some lovely kimchi side dishes.

When they had all finished their dinner they all left the cafe and went back to the floating van, upon hopping back inside the floating van they buckled up,  the van took them all the way back to their home in Nile Road.  Where Mel emailed Jill about their adventure as Piff and Tangie went fishing and caught a lot of fish,  followed by a karaoke session and some games as Peanut gave Piff a hug.  ‘Thank you for such a fun adventure guys, and you too Piffy.’  ‘No problem Peanut.’  ‘I learned so much being with you guys.’  ‘I am glad you did, and now you can come on more adventures with us.’  ‘Do you think my owner will let me?’  ‘Of course she will, if I know Rachel and I do,  she will always be up for an adventure.’  ‘Well that is great.’

Piff and Peanut hugged each-other and played games before Peanut took part in a relaxation session with him and Tangie, Piff taught how to do the bathbomb sniffing activity and all about Tangie’s favorite game which was ‘Guess the Bathbomb Scent’ and about how imagination sessions worked,  followed by the gang all getting ready for bed. Peanut hugged Piff again before saying to him…’Before I go home with my owner to help her have sweet dreams, I just want to say thanks. Thanks for showing me everything,  thanks for teaching me how to play games like the secret whispering game and guess the bathbomb scent,  thank you for coming with me on the adventure, thank you for everything.’  ‘No problem, Peanut.’ 

Peanut gave Piff a hug before he heard Rachel calling, he floated over to her bag and hopped inside before saying goodbye to the gang,  he got all teary eyed but he knew that he would be able to have more adventures with his surrogate sibling,  and he smiled as he and his owner Rachel before said goodbye and left,  heading back home.

Oats put on his princess nightgown as Corey put on his bat pajamas and they all brushed their teeth.  Followed by Piff activating the closedown sequence featuring the animated fish couple going on a magical walk through the Devonport harbor and into a magical hotel as the background shifted from day to night and their clothes morphed into night-clothes for the night and they all floated into a magic fish themed hotel room and slept together in a comfy bed as the goodnight message appeared on screen.

With Peanut, once he had arrived back at his owner’s home he floated into his owner’s bedroom, waited for Rachel and he put on his special blue coral print pajamas that he had on as he brushed his teeth and used some magic to animate his very own closedown sequence, featuring his own animated counterpart and Piff’s animated counterpart going through a special light display as the background shifted from night to day and their clothes morphed into night-clothes as the goodnight message appeared on screen.

At Nile Road,  Piff jumped into bed and kissed Tangie before giving the goodnight speech which was an extra special one;  ‘We had one hell of an adventure today and I got to bond with Peanut and teach him many things, I cannot wait to spend many more adventures with him and I know he can’t wait either,  and we had so much fun, but now it is time for us to have fun in dreamland, goodnight.’

With Peanut at his home with Rachel, he yawned as he floated into bed and he smiled, looking at a photo of Piff before giving the goodnight speech which was: ‘Wow, I learned so much today and had such a fun time and Piff is the best pal ever,  he’s such a good fish pal to be with and I cannot wait for more adventures, goodnight to everyone here and in Nile Road.’

He drifted off to sleep and turned off the light as he had sweet dreams of his adventures, back at Nile Road, Piff kissed Tangie as they all drifted off to sleep and Anglo turned off the light, also having sweet dreams about his adventures and all the future adventures he would have with Peanut.

And thus the adventure on both sides came to an end but more are coming up soon, so please stay tuned.
