TftW:  Mirage Night.

Michael was the kind of guy that was unpredictable,   you might never know what he would say or do and he was a master trickster.   In fact he was the winner of every April Fool's Day prank-contest since the late 2000's and he knew it,  he was the king of pranks and the  master of mischief.    There was no one quite like him regarding his prowess as a prank-maker.  He was talented in the field of playing pranks and goofing around.   His passion was to be a comedian.

He loved the idea of having magical powers too but he knew that in real life it was impossible to get them,  but luckily he lived in a world inhabited by monsters and he was very much delighted to be in the company of such  wonderful creatures.   These creatures were his best friends and he wouldn't be where he was today without them.   He was different than most humans his age,  because he was a one-of-a-kind person with an out of this world persona that never ceased to amaze those around the world.

To add to this he wasn't afraid to admit he wasn't like most,  his family was one that was obsessed with trying to be normal and socially acceptable which to him was boring and a waste of time.  Especially when every member of his family was equally as weird as he was with their own quirks and traits,  they were ashamed to admit they were just as weird if not weirder than him.

"Why can't you do something normal?"

"Because I'm weird and proud..."

"Can't you act like a human being for once in your life?"

"My best friends are literally monsters...I am monstrous myself and if I can't be myself around them or when you're around then I see no point in being normal.  I can't stand trying to blend in."

"You really are a mystery,  you know that?"

"Of course I do..."

He chuckled to himself as he hurried upstairs,  you see - a couple of days ago he had ordered a special cat themed spellcasting kit from the magic shopping network and the package had just arrived earlier,   and he couldn't wait to use it.  He picked up the package and took it into his bedroom,  a few seconds later he opened it and decided to try out the spells that the books had in them.

To his surprise he became quite a natural at them despite having little to no experience with it before,   it must have been from all the yoga and meditation he always did.   His energy levels were extremely well-balanced and vigorous as well,  in fact as he tried some transformation spells he could feel supernatural energy jolting through his body,  in addition to this there was another series of sensations going on as well.

Those sensations manifested in the form of greyish fur slowly growing on his arms,  in addition to this his hands altered a bit in size as the fur covered them,  his fingernails elongating and sharpening to become akin to claws.   His chest and torso slenderized as two breasts slowly emerged on the former,   the fur slowly crept up the rest of his upperbody as his clothing reshaped itself into a red and gold Egyptian ensemble outfit of sorts,  he couldn't help but purr slightly as he did so.

In addition to this his legs altered to become more shapely as the fur slowly spread down them and down to his feet as a long feline-like tail slowly emerged from his behind while his hips inflated,  he purred a few times as his privates retracted to become the female variant, his feet shifting to become the same size as his hands. The fur crept his back and shoulders while his shoulders reshaped themselves,  his hair slowly turning from brown to black as it lengthened and took on a style that matched his new outfit.

Two cat-like ears slowly sprouted out of the top of his head as his neckline shifted,  green eye-shadow applying itself around his eyes as his eyes in general widened,  turning greenish and developing feline-like slitted pupils.  Eyelashes blossomed around them as his eyebrows thinned and greyish fur crept up his neck and around his face,   the end of his nose was blackening as the rest of his nose took on a feline shape,  in addition to this his canine teeth lengthened and sharpened,  becoming akin to fangs.

His face slowly began to push out into a muzzle as his features became more delicate but exotic in appearance,  making him look very effeminate and feline-like in appearance,  his face pushed out once more - as the muzzle came into view.  His voice elevated itself to become higher and softer,  but also sensual and sinister with the voice of Bebe Neuwirth, his appearance and voice had become that of the villainess Mirage.

The last change was on the mental side as his personality shifted along with his memories, he or rather she no longer remembered being Michael...in fact she  remembered that she had always been Mirage and to her that was perfect.  After all,  normality is boring...and she'd rather be her deliciously wicked self than try to blend in.

"Now that's more like it..."

Mirage teleported herself downstairs and decided to get back on her former family by turning them all into exaggerated cartoony monsters that represented their personality traits, but not before turning the neighbors dogs into a Cerberus-like mix-and-match of different dog types.

She cackled to herself as she cast several more spells,  spreading her influence throughout the whole town and embracing her devious self all the way.   It felt good to be herself again and she knew that if anyone tried to judge her,  she'd find a way to mess with them and make them pay.   To her,  there was nothing better.   Normality is/was and always will be overrated,  especially to the more monstrous people among us.

And with that she used her magic to explore the world around her and to make it her own personal play-area,  after all...why settle for just one neighborhood when the whole world was just one big play-area for her to toy around in?   She knew that she was definitely going to have a lot of fun with her powers.

As for what happened later,  she stayed as Mirage but used 'Michael's form to trick her enemies and her friends.   She embraced everything there is to about being who she was - after all,  she was Mirage and there was no one else she would rather be.   She was the queen of evil and she was the best at what she did.

Remember my friends,  you don't have to try and blend in to get noticed in today's world,  no matter who or what you are -  you're fine just the way you are,  what other people think is normal may be weird to you and vice versa.  Normality is overrated,  why settle for a normal life when you could life a magical supernatural life?  To all you monsters out there, remember,  be yourself and everything will be fine.  You don't need anything else in your life,  you don't need to be anything other than what you are.   After all,  being supernatural is great and you should embrace it.  After all - what is normal if not a mirage?
