Top 12 dreamworks characters

12. Barry B.Benson

Bee Movie is the first introduction I got to the comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his observational humor, and I just love Barry because of his sense of humour and his relationship with Vanessa.

11. Tulio

It's hard to pick between him and Miguel as they're both quite enjoyable characters, but I tend to identify with Tulio more because he's just full of wise-cracks and also the more sensible one of the two.

10. Roddy St James

Flushed Away is one of my favorite animated movies and I just adore Roddy, he's suave, witty and not to mention he's voiced by Hugh Jackman (he even pulls out a Wolverine costume in the start of the movie), he's one classy rat I can't help but adore. I know some people say he's a mouse but I always think of him as a rat - even though on IMDB he's refered to as a mouse (he's even referred to as a mouse on the back of the dvd cover), but to me he's more of...a fancy rat.

9. Nick and Fletcher

There are quite a lot of enjoyable characters in Chicken Run, my personal favorites being Rocky the American Rooster, Babs, Fowler, and even Mr Tweedy and the dogs. But my personal favorites are these two guys Nick and Fletcher, they're like a classic comedy duo ala Abbot and Costello and they remind me a bit of Statler and Waldorf.

8. The Wererabbit.

Gromit and the Wererabbit from Curse Of The Wererabbit are both very adorable and funny to watch, and Wallace in his wererabbit form is just so big and cuddly it's hard not to love him. He's just a very big, lovable wererabbit and if he was real i'd definitely want to hug him.

7. Po

Speaking of big and cuddly, here's one panda who defines awesomeness and cute all in one package - yep, it's Po from Kung Fu Panda, and he's big, cuddly and just plain awesome, to top it off he's voiced by Jack Black. Some critics called Po a "furry John Candy" which certain goes well with his lovable personality.

6. The Penguins

Out of all the crazy characters in the Madagascar films, the Penguins are my favorite especially Kowalski and Rico, but I love all those penguins really. Plus Rico always has some sort of item which he is willing to spit out for any situation.

5. Puss In Boots

Everyone seems to love this swash-buckling feline, and I for one am one of those people, I love his personality and the way he does that innocent kitty look with the big eyes, he's also a pretty awesome swordsman.

4. Lord Farquaad

Now most people would say that Donkey would be one of the best characters in the Shrek series, in my opinion it's Puss, but the best villain in the Shrek series would have to be Lord Farquaad. I love this guy, said to have been based on Michael Eisner (owner of Disney and Jeffrey Katsenberg's former boss), this little monarch is very enjoyable to watch and very much like Vizzini from the Princess Bride. Plus the torture scene with the gingerbread man is my absolute favorite scene in the first movie, the talking beanie plush doll of him from McFarlane toys is extremely cute.

3. Dr Cockroach

Monsters VS Aliens has some really fun and brilliant characters, including the president (voiced by the bastian of truthiness Mr Stephen Colbert) and of course the ragtag group of monsters. B.O.B is my second favorite character but my number 1 favorite is this guy Dr Cockroach P.H.D who is voiced by Hugh Laurie (House to you Americans out there and Prince George from Blackadder The Third to those who hail from England), I just adore this guy, he's funny, over-the-top and a very clever take-on The Fly (both the original 1958 version and the 1986 remake with Jeff Goldblum). Plus you gotta love a character who's part bug.

2. Weaver

Speaking of bugs, it's about time that this guy gets a mention. And who is he you ask? Why none other than Weaver from the underrated classic Antz, this buff soldier ant is the coolest best friend anyone could ask for. Plus as a bonus he's voiced by Sly Stallone (even looks like his voice actor too, right down to the muscular build) and he's definitely the kind of guy you would want to hang out with or have protecting you from enemies (hey..no one messes with Sylvester Stallone, no matter what form he's in).

And..

1. Megamind

There's so much to love about this brilliantly concieved supervillain turned good guy, I already listed my top 12 reasons why I love this guy but I'm just going to mention them again, for one thing he has the best taste in music ever, some of the most awesome entrances, an over-the-top but lovable personality and child-like innocence, I love his misprounications and his relationship with Roxanne as well as his partnership with Minion and not to mention the brainbots and other gadgets as well as the disguise generator. And need I mention those eyes? Those beautiful eerie chautreussian neon green eyes convey such an impressive range of emotions and not to mention when he's impersonating Bernard he's just so sweet and kinda adorable despite his nerdy appearance (sort of reminds me of my old classmate).
