God-modding is a terrible crime against RPing and nature in general,  those who do it are usually too stupid to know not to do it,  like for example the protagonist in today's story Nicholas Squireson aka NuclearNick,  a scruffy,   lithe and  ratty-looking 26 year old year old who had a very aggressive and destructive nature,  he hated everything and everyone and just wanted to see everything in the world get destroyed.   Pretty much the very definition of a nihilist if there ever was one.

His method of RPing was basically god-modding to the point of making himself the ultimate Gary Stu so to speak,  being nigh invincible,  unlimited items and powers and always finding ways to annoy the other players which of course made him one of the most despicable people in the history of the hobby,   he was destructive and just had an overall evil soul, he existed to be nothing more than a typical ghoul or vulture that feeds on misery and wanted just to show off how badass he thought his character was.

Unfortunately for him,  his days of playing god-mod were going to soon come to an end when he received a warning from another roleplayer,  that if he didn't  stop with this kind of behavior - a creature known as the RPG Keeper or 'Roleplay Keeper' would come after him and teach him a lesson.   That night,  when he was in the middle of a particularly terrible RP session he was visited by the very monster in question.   That monster being the RPG Keeper himself,   who was basically the Cryptkeeper of RP DMs,  he didn't like that this person spent so much time using his character for malicious purposes.

"I can't stand your type.."

"What do you mean by that?"

"God-modders.  You know,  types like YOU.  That think they're so badass and cool just because they have all the best weapons and powers and that just because they're part human and part mystical being from another world with pocket dimensions to escape to everytime a monster attacks."

"Excuse me...but my character is pretty much unstoppable."

"And that's the problem.  You're too powerful for your own good.  You think you can get away with anything just because you have supernatural powers that are limitless and you have unlimited supplies of weaponry at your disposal.   But all you use those for is destruction and inhaliation.   You are a destructive rage-field monster that hates everything even if it is good."

"The world needs to burn.."

"Maybe you need to cheer up once and a while,  huh?  Stop being so doom and gloom all the time and maybe be nicer to the people you RP with rather than blatantly go around slaughtering things and people for no good reason.   That is your problem,  your aggression just makes you even more of a monster than you already are."

"Whatever..."

"If you can't be bothered to change your attitude,  then I shall do for it you!"

The RPG Keeper's eyes gave off a demonic red glow as he levitated in the air,  using his dark powers to lift up Nicholas and bring him closer to him,   he then used an aura drain ability to drain his powers and aura,  weakening him and then using his powers to transfer that over to the character he was playing as,  weakening the character in the process and relinquishing him of his prized weaponry collection and other possessions,  any and all abilities he had were being absorbed.

In addition to this the character Nicholas was playing as found himself falling victim to a case of Involuntary Shapeshifting as  slowly and painful transformed into a grotesque looking demon or super-ghoul so to speak,    followed by all the enemies from the pocket dimensions he had trapped them in escaping and seeking revenge on him.   Leaving him transformed, helpless and powerless.   The RPG Keeper had a justified reason for doing so to,  he HATED god-modding in general and knew who did that type of behavior in RP form were generally despicable and horrible.   He was teaching Nick a lesson.

"Hey...change my character back."

"This is part of your lesson.  You were warned not to go all god-mod but you didn't listen and now you will pay the price for your actions.   As i've told people like you countless times before,   making your character overly powerful will not get you anywhere.  No amount of mystical powers,   weaponry or dimensional portals will ever be able to mask just how much of an aggressive,  spiteful,  hateful jerk you really are."

"WHAT?"

"I'm afraid so and now it's time for the next part."

The RPG Keeper slowly turned into an ooze-like form,  Nicholas's mouth was left open agast in pure shock and terror as he felt the keepers's ooze form slide right down his throat, possessing him in the process and making him involuntarily break out into a dance routine that was very Michael Jackson-esque.    A few seconds later his stomach gurgled loudly as a monstrous looking hand emerged from out of it holding a mirror,  he removed his slightly crooked glasses for a few minutes before being hit with pain that surged through his entire body,  his skin slowly began to alter,  becoming rough and mottled.

In addition to this his hands slowly altered to become larger and more grotesque as his fingernails lengthened,  becoming gruesome looking claws as he elevated in height to become slightly taller,  his hair extending and becoming messier as his eyes turned from their normal color to a piercing orangey yellowish one.  He tried to close his eyes hoping it was a nightmare but it was very real and no he couldn't 'nope' his way out of it either,  for he was paying the price for his actions.

His brow slopped and altered,  becoming a sloping,  monster-looking brow as his features altered and reformed,  his ears stretching out to become pointed as his teeth sharpened, his voice deepening a bit to sound more beast-like as his changes reached completion, he let out a growl as his changes completed,  he was a ghoul now just like his character.   He gasped in horror when he saw his reflection.

"This isn't fair at all.."

"That's what they all say,  you shouldn't have been a god-modder."

"But..."

"No buts,  you deserved this."

"I'm sorry.."

"Sorry isn't good enough..."

"I'll do anything."

Unfortunately for him,  his pleas fell on deaf ears and the keeper's deed had been done,  he had taught this god-modder a lesson.   And that lesson is one that would now haunt him for the rest of his life,  and the rest of his RPing career as he truly now was exactly like his character and a true ghoul on the outside and inside.   He could have changed his ways but noooo...he didn't,   you see -  the RPG Keeper is nice to those who RP in responsible ways and don't go powermad,   but to those he dislikes like god-modders,  people who use excuses or can't make up their minds,  he punishes them.

Thus with that,   Nicholas spent the rest of his online life making up for the sin of god-modding and helping others instead of being all negative and destructive,  he was starting over and letting other players have their turns instead of trying to control them himself, he realized that this was the much better way to play.    And it indeed it was.  As for what happened later on,  he became respected for being a much nicer RPer than he used to be and became somewhat of a rolemodel.

Remember my friends, God-modding in general is terrible and should NEVER be done,  not even
ironically.   If you do it yourself,  you may just be getting a visit from the keeper himself later on and he probably will NOT be happy to find out about what you've been doing,  and once he finds out...there will be nothing you can do about it.  No amount of mystical powers, powerful weaponry,  badass feats,  dimension hopping or full on destruction will be able to help you,  you will be powerless and you won't be able to 'nope' yourself out of it.
