 TftW: The Storyteller's World

by ~DrMusic2-1 (originally, but remade)

Eda Clawthorne TG.

NOTE:

The following is a remake of an old story of mine that got slaughtered by someone who is thankfully no longer with us and also it is an idea I have wanted to do, just given a new twist with an Owl House TG to it, so please if you’re wondering what happened to the original…sorry, the OG one was deleted along with everything else in my old Drmusic2 account.

-----------------------------

Do you remember this story that was made about a troll that pretty much wouldn’t stop berating Nathan’s creator in the form of a really bad series of journals that were supposed to be satirical but had all the class and sophistication of a hooters waitress and the libido to match? Of course you do, all of Nathan’s friends remember that…but nobody cares about that since that person longer exists, so enjoy this remake instead. Every story has a narrator and you are about to see what happens when a storyteller themselves get in on the action, meet Nathan…the protagonist of the Monster World series of stories and the creator of many stories you’ve known and loved, and he’s always being transformed into different characters and forms and transforming others but he did it for fun not as a fetish. At least he didn’t think of it as one..in fact while he did have odd tastes he wasn’t the easily perverted type, it’s just he had to deal with perverts and weirdos everyday.

When he was starting out he didn’t know what his identity was so he pretended to identify as one of his characters, a monster version of John Candy and he got ridiculed for it and as such this meant only one thing…they didn’t know what Poe’s Law was, if they did they’d know he was being satirical, he was trying a bit too hard to be edgy and different and didn’t know what ‘furry’ meant at the time, that time specifically 2009 to be exact but by now i.e the year 2023 he definitely knew what that meant. He hated seeing monster characters like werecreatures being portrayed as hive-minded human hating bigots as he found that to be a hypocritical type. ‘Wolves get unfairly vilified because of people like that who portray them like that, it’s not their fault they get a bad reputation.’

“A bit like you don’t you say? You get a bad reputation.”

“Yes, i’m basically like a movie monster. I can be bitter and mean and cruel sometimes, but everyone can be like that too.”

‘Which monster do you think you identify with the most?’ ‘Vampires probably, or werecreatures, or any spellcasting ones.’ ‘Witches in particular have definitely got it bad.’ ‘There are good witches though, like Sabrina, Wendy, and of course the ladies in the Owl House.’ ‘You are right about that.’ ‘How about since you like transforming people in your work and transforming yourself, how would you like to be the ultimate milfy-witch herself?’ ‘Eda the owl-woman?’ ‘Oh yes, her.’

“I’d very much like that.”

“I know how you can do that.”

Nathan picked out a book of sorts and it was a book very much like the book in the Neverending Story, in which whatever you wrote about came true. So he typed up a version of it on his computer about a version of himself who went to go and befriend a witch who everyone thought was scary but turned out to be a very nice person, as he did he sensed a supernatural presence and that is when he saw an owl flying into his apartment, the owl morphed into the shape of a woman, a woman that looked very familiar to him, as she had yellowy eyes and silver hair as well as a voice that was very much Wendie Mallick. ‘It must be working because I have managed to summon you.’ ‘Indeed it is and I sense that you are good at heart.’

“How do you know that?”

“I know a lot about you…Nathan.”

“Eda?”

“The one and the same.”

‘You must have seen my story.’ ‘Oh yes I have and I have come to bring you something. I’ve brought you a gift.’ Eda pulled out something from one of her cloak’s pockets. ‘What is it?’ ‘It’s a crystal, nothing more but if you turn it this way and that, it will show you your dreams.’ ‘Is it an ordinary gift for an ordinary human?’ ‘Oh no, only for special humans.’

“Can you grant me a wish?”

“Why yes I can…what is it you want?”

“I wish to be able to understand why witches get vilified so much.”

‘I can help you with that.’ ‘My friend said it would be great if you could make me into you…’ ‘Me? Well i’m honored and I can help with that.’ She twirled her staff around and concentrated, chanting as she transferred some of her powers into him. ‘Cool, you’ve given me magic powers’.

“That’s not all, look.”

Nathan looked at himself as he saw his skin smoothening and also becoming quite pale as his arms lengthened and his hands shrunk, his fingernails lengthened and his chest and torso slimmed, his outfit slowly becoming similar to Eda’s but with a spider insignia on it, the spider insignia of course being his coat of arms. Gold nail polish was applied onto his nails as a ring materialized on one of his fingers. A pair of what was commonly known as breasts developed on his chest while his physique became more lithe. ‘Hey…I look like i’m taking after you, but hey that was obvious from the get-go.’ He quipped as he examined himself.

His hips flared out as his legs lengthened, there was a slight discomforting sound as his privates altered into the feminine variant while his feet shrunk and his shoulders shrunk inward, he felt a tingling sensation as his ears stretched out, becoming pointed and elf-like as his hair grew longer and messier, of course until Eda, his hair actually turned orangey red, as his eyebrows thinned and earrings manifested around his ears, his eyes also changed with both of them turning yellowish and his features softening and feminizing, his lips plumped up as his neckline altered.

He examined his reflection…he didn’t need a mirror to see he was becoming exactly like Eda, right down to his face slowly morphing into hers as one of his canine teeth elongated and sharpened a bit to resemble a fang, said new ‘fang’ turned a gold color. He looked exactly like Eda did, except younger because his hair was orangey red as opposed to her hair which was gray, and he knew that it was implied the ‘Owl-demon’ curse made Eda age faster. He knew a lot about this and he knew that this was natural. His voice changed and feminized as well, as he found himself growing to around 6’5. In addition to this, his voice shifted into the fiery and sultry voice that Eda herself had…the sultry voice of Wendie Mallick.

‘There we go, a magical form for a magical storyteller.’ ‘Thanks Eda, you’re awesome.’ He chuckled as his transformation completed itself, best part of it of course being he was still himself and this was a transformation he had wanted and was okay with it, he obviously loved the idea of being her…or rather her younger doppelganger and he found it to be a lot of fun, learning to cast spells was going to be a fun experience for him.

“The pleasure is all mine, I knew that the storybook you have would come in handy for this.”

“You know that book?”

‘Oh yes, I have heard humans talk of a story just like it, a story that never seems to end.’ ‘So you’ve seen that movie?’ ‘Oh yes, it’s a lovely movie.’ ‘Indeed it is.’ ‘And you clearly have the power to create works just like that.’

“You think i’m capable of creating 80’s dark fantasy epics like Labyrinth and Neverending Story?”

‘Oh I believe you can.’ ‘I’m glad that there are good witches like you out there.’ ‘Remember, if you ever need my help, don’t be afraid to call.’ ‘Thank you once again, Eda.’ ‘No problem. Remember, always believe in yourself just like I believe in you.’

“It warms my heart to hear that you believe in me.”

“I am glad that you feel that way.”

The real Eda looked over at Nathan for a bit and hugged him before turning an owl and flying away, but not before leaving him an inspiring message to live by and also a special present…a present that was his very own King that he could play with and tell stories to.

And thus with that, her job was done but she did say that if ever he should need her help he could always wish for her, and without fail that is what she did, when he wished for her to help, she flew over to help him and to also give him comforting words of advice. Now you definitely this is way better than what was originally here, because obviously nobody cared for a bunch of lame meme references and this is way more wholesome.

Sometimes the world of the storyteller themselves is even more magical than the stories they write.
