Galactic Journey: A Star Wars Adventure.

Have you always wondered about life on other planets? Our microbial friend Corey and his bestie Oats the horse were wondering all about the possibility of life on other planets, and Mel had news for them…she had discovered Nathan’s Star Wars guide-book and she thought it would be great to take the duo on a special journey.

Corey picked up a toy light-saber from the box and he was pretending to be a Jedi as Oats was wearing his Princess Leia dress and even styled his mane at the sides to resemble her hair, and he couldn’t wait to go on a space journey of his own. That is when Mel told him…’I have a special surprise for both of you.’ ‘What is it?’ ‘There is a fantastic exhibit we can all go to and learn about Star Wars and the force.’

“Awesome.”

“Follow me.”

The duo followed Mel to a special part of the bedroom where they jumped through a portal which took them to the Star Wars Identities exhibit over in the O2 in London. They looked around and saw the entrance to the exhibit and looked to see if there were any aliens.

“Wish to learn about the force, do you?”

“I know that voice…”

“Yeah, that’s Yoda.”

‘Good hearing, you have.’ Yoda responded as he introduced himself and showed Corey and Oats to the section where they could make their own characters that matched their personalities and also showed them the Jedi training area where they learned how to use lightsabers.

They learned all about the different species of creatures in the universe of the franchise including ewoks, jawas, wookies, tauntauns, mon calamari, gamorreans and zabraks, Oats was delighted to find out there were horse-like aliens too which made him very happy.

Corey and Oats got to explore many different areas and as they did, they took on quite a few forms, including Corey becoming an ewok and Mel turning into a gungan, that’s when Mel spotted a familiar gungan running along. ‘Oh hiya there, can mesa help yous?’

“Jar Jar!”

“Mesa called Jar Jar Binks, mesa happy to see yous.”

Jar Jar laughed as he hugged Mel and he showed them around the exhibit as Corey examined some of the weapons that were on display. ‘Jar Jar, you’re such a nice gungan, I don’t know why some people think you’re a Sith.’ ‘Mesa don’t know why either.’

The group walked around in the area and Jar Jar showed them to a special area where they met fellow gungans and even met Captain Tarpals. Just then they heard a familiar booming voice…’Mesa welcome yousa!’ that voice belonged to, of course, Boss Nass.

“I thought I heard Brian Blessed back there.”

“It’s hard not to, mesa knows that for sure.”

“WELCOME! Wesa hope you are having a good time here.”

Corey nodded as he bowed to Boss Nass, the group looked around and interacted with all the aliens. ‘Mesa like-a you, wesa can be friends.’ He cheered as he made his signature noises, spraying water on quite a few people.

The group made their way into another room that was a Hutt throne room and that’s where they saw Jabba and greeted him..’Bo shuda.’ Jabba bellowed as he greeted them, ‘And bo shuda to you too, Jabba.’ Oats replied.

Jabba was impressed with how the duo were able to speak Huttese so well, and he taught them about his species and his family and introduced Corey to Rotta.

After spending sometime with Jabba, Corey and Oats played with Wicket and his ewok tribe in the play area, and met C3-PO and R2D2 and BB-8 as well as a slew of other characters.

They played around in the area with the space-ships and pretended to be pilots and even met some playful Porgs and Loth Cats. Corey really wanted to visit the Youngling Care Space Station and so that’s what they did next.

When they arrived at the space station they saw the two droids Miree and Cam-E supervising some of the alien younglings that the droids were baby-sitting including a youngling Ewok who was playing around with a toy drum and making music…the Ewok’s name was Tiko,a Gamorrean named Drogo who was running around, a male Loth Cat named Iyako who was affectionately snuggling up with a female Porg called Ziana.

Corey saw a Gungan youngling that looked like Jar Jar, he was wearing a green swimming costume and splashing around in a little pool, the Gungan’s name was Jim-Jim, and he also saw a Huttlet playing around in a slime-pool, she was a female hutt called Darma. A youngling rancor was playing tag with a Rodian, they were named Roko and Jamo, and a group of Jawas collecting marbles and adding them to their collection and a Tauntum doing a running exercise.

The group got to help a male Ortolan named Oriso with his musical instruments and got to play with all the younglings and took care of them.

“This is an amazing galactic adventure.”

“Yeah, these baby aliens are so cute.”

‘Who would have thought a hutt would be adorable?’ ‘Yeah, Darma in the slime pool was precious.’ ‘I love Jim Jim, that gungan is super adorable.’ Oats loved that he got to go on a fantastic adventure with his best friend and learn so much about Star Wars’s species.

A couple of hours later they caught back up with Mel and Yoda, Yoda gave Corey and Oats rewards for their discoveries and made them honorary jedi knights, Corey and Oats said goodbye to their friends as they followed Mel, a spaceship resembling the Millenium Falcon was waiting for them and they hopped into the ship.

The ship took off, leaving the exhibit and taking them on a flight before taking them all the way back home to their house in Nile Road. When they got to their house in Nile Road, they got into the bedroom and told the other microbes about their adventure.

For the rest of the afternoon they played together, had some nice afternoon tea and had fun using the force to enhance their Star Wars themed playtime, an hour later it was dinner time and they had some nice food for dinner.

Corey poured Oats a glass of blue milk and Oats thanked him, and the duo had a nice time bonding over their newest adventure, throughout the evening they played together and had a lot of fun and enjoyment. After dinner they played for a while and had a karaoke party.

When it was time for them to go to the bedroom, Corey and Oats followed Mel into the bedroom and put on their night-clothes before going to brush their teeth. They got into bed and snuggled up with Mel, drifting off and having sweet dreams of their galactic adventures.

They dreamed of playing with the alien younglings and helping the alliance in their battle against the empire, and Oats dreamed of a royal beauty session with Padme, Leia, and Rey Skywalker. Back at the Youngling Care station, all the alien younglings were snuggling up too and having dreams of Corey and Oats and having adventures with them, each adventure they dreamed of was different.

And thus with that the newest adventure comes to an end, but this coming week stay tuned for the Coming Attractions which include ‘Cinnamon: Princess of the Flowery Forest’ another Microbial Christmas special, and ‘Return to Weta Workshop’.
