RP Pet Peeves
I love RPing as much as the next guy but there are a couple of RPers I really cannot stand. Joe Lowes. Oh boy, his RPs can best be summed up as this and in the following order:
1. His character is either someone who thinks they live a sucky life or a loveless loser who can’t get a date. Seriously, the guy gets a new date in every rp and it’s hard to keep count of them all and what happens to them? They just disappear or something since we never hear from them ever again.
2. This character is so desperate he’d even consider dating a monster who could pretty much kill him or maim him. Yep, he’s that much of a loser. Dude, just use a dating site…it’s much easier than hooking up with some abomination that probably would eat you alive.
3. This usually ties in to some weird family trauma that is added just to make him sympathetic. It’s like this ‘my family was abusive so I think all human beings are abusive assholes’ is his excuse for this. I’m sorry but how do you know your own family was even abusive to begin with? Maybe you just got on their nerves or something.
4. Whenever said character gets involved with the monster or villain, he tries to fight it and often complains…’but I didn’t ask for this’ or ‘this isn’t my fault’…uh, dude, you’re the idiot who thought it would be a good idea to date or befriend someone who preys on people like you, you should have known what you were going to get yourself into.
5. He asks the monster to turn them. Apparently this asshole really hates humans so much despite being one (Chara..anyone?) that he would rather be a slave to or in a relationship with someone who isn’t human or be turned into the same species as said monster rather than stay as a human. And cue the ever so annoying cliche of the ‘Shrek’ ending. Yep, Joe Lowes just loves the Shrekking trope.
6. Diapers…sometimes if it’s the kind that has regression involved, diapers are part of it. And yeeeeah I don’t like these type of RP scenarios because they gross me out, nothing wrong with diaper fetishism - it’s just I rather not have to read an entire section dedicating to someone crapping themselves and enjoying it (no offense to Vaderleader either, but still..).
7. World domination ending. Even if he is playing a good guy there is a take over the world ending. The biggest problem is that the character of Joe in general suffers from what I call Evil Protagonist Disorder. Where the character in general is supposed to be sympathetic and likable but is only partially like that and the other of the time they are a controlling manipulative little asshole that wants nothing more than to take over the world and enslave everyone, our hero ladies and gentlemen. He just doomed an entire planet.
Then there’s Bluman08 who is pretty much like this and uses the following things way too often:
1. Suits. ALMOST every transformation in his RPs are done with suits, and that’s it, just…either living suits or suits that somehow are alive and stuff people inside them. I feel this kind of transformation is overdone and it’s what makes me not want to take part in them.
2. Stereotypes. Not ethnic stereotypes but stereotypes like the big dumb brute who has the IQ of post-movie era Patrick Star, nerds that he confuses with geeks and those stereotypical toons who you’d likely find in Bendy or in Cuphead. We get it, you think in stereotypes, tone it down a little.
3. Rubber. DOES every single one of these animal-folk transformations have to be a rubber version though? I get it, there is a fetish for it but still…dude, can’t you ever have an RP without afflicting your fetish for rubber on people?
4. Gross smells/bodily function. This is self explanitory. This is the kind of thing i’d expect to see in a Happy Madison movie and NOT in an RP.
5. Sex/orgy scenes. Dude, your RPs always say mature should be in notes and yet you constantly shove in disgusting yaoi/yuri sex scenes in every RP you do, dude…just stop. I don’t want to picture two latex/rubber gorillas having sex with each-other and I don’t want to imagine what a Donkey Kong porno parody would look like. Stop already. The tanuki ones..okay, I get the mature on that one because they are known for being well-endowed and all (and so are male equines) but still…remember I had to do a whole jerking off scene in one of them and had to do one for as well. Eeeew. Do not want indeed.
6. Even if it’s based on a kid-friendly or family friendly franchise. In one extremely bad case he turned a surprise present RP into one where pretty much everyone of the Zootopia characters is put in rubber sheep suits and made to have orgies. It was like I was watching This Ain’t Zootopia XXX. And then there was the Donkey Kong one…it was just unsettling to imagine the Kongs in diapers acting like sissies and messing their diapers and enjoying it. I just don’t like seeing things like that be warped in a manner that makes it feel like i’m watching a porno parody movie. Also I do NOT need to imagine BrandonKong’s character grabbing Candy Kong by the pussy.
7. Clowns. Oh boy, is this guy obsessed with clowns. To the point that if it’s an animal-person transformation that to him it always has to be a clown variant. We get it, you have a clown obsession. Enough with the stinking clowns, hasn’t 2016 taught you anything?
8. Trying to control other characters. If it’s a character that isn’t your own, you cannot dictate their actions especially if it’s their RP you’re taking part in, you can control your own characters but not characters that aren’t yours. Let the other player control them.
9. Inconsistency. If it’s a symbiote how come you put in an unmasking scene? A symbiote is a creature that fuses with the host, it’s not a costume and you can’t do an unmasking scene for something that isn’t a costume.
