Walken After Dark
Walken After Dark
By Monstermaster13
It was after dark at our house, okay it wasn't quite Midnight but it was getting close to it and I was in one of my 'Monstrous' moods.
I was looking through all sorts of sites trying to get inspiration for my latest story, looking at various old monster stories and folk tales and urban myths but nothing seemed to catch my eye.
I even tried a bit of reading creepypastas, but the creepypastas didn't scare me, just made me laugh a little bit.
It took me a while to find what I needed for inspiration, but then I started up Itunes. Going through the radio channels I selected Halloweenradio.net, as that was my go-to source of inspiration for my various monster related stories.
Once I waited for the buffering part to be finished...I started up Fantamorph and decided to have another try at a morph.
"Hmmmm...i've got to be careful this time....I don't want to end up as someone like Russell Brand again."
I checked through my gallery of photos until I found a photo of myself that was taken a while ago at the horror themed wing of the museum.
Then I went through the various pictures of horror characters to use for the morph, going through everything from the b-movie monsters to the ones like Jason, Freddy, Chucky and even Brundlefly.
"Freddy? Well....it's not the right kind of night for that. Jason? It would have to be on a Friday the 13th. Chucky? Nah. Brundlefly? Nope. Too bug-like."
I looked around some more amongst the horror images to see if there was any other I could choose.
Then I remembered a forum thread on Deviantart under the deviants section, it was the Corrupt A Wish thread. I remembered that my wish was to do a better impersonation of Christopher Walken. And that's when I got the brilliant idea.
"Ah ha! I'll do a Walken morph."
I flicked through the Walken gallery going through the various pictures of Chris and his movie roles. Until I found one that would make a particularly cool morph - scratch that, it would make an awesome morph.
The picture was a very iconic headshot of Chris in black and white, it depicted him with a rather sullen expression on his face, sure it was just a picture but it was like that Chris was staring right at me.
"Perfect!"
I pinpointed all the points on both photos and started up the morph before clicking on the save button and watching the preview, the morph looked pretty good and extremely cool to see.
"Woah...that looks awesome!"
After the morph had been saved, I closed down all the other programs on my computer except for Fantamorph and Itunes and sat back and enjoyed the morph.
The song playing on Halloweenradio.net was Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper, which went perfectly with the morph.
I waited for a few more minutes for the morph to be completed before the program glitched, froze up and restarted - as the morph had seemingly vanished.
"Huh? Nothing's happening? I could have sworn it worked last time."
I decided to shut down the computer and head over into the living room, once I got there - I opened up the couch-bed combo and decided to lay down for a nice peaceful sleep.
Well when I say peaceful....I meant it was weird, and more so than usual - there was the sound of thunder and lightning and darkness filled the entire house with the exception of the bedroom, computer room, lab, living room, and the attic.
As I laid there on my back, I could feel as if the couch-bed was moving. Each time I closed my eyes it felt like it was really happening.
"Woah...this is strange..."
I opened my eyes in shock as I found that the couch-bed wasn't moving, but I was - in fact I was suddenly laying there, levitating in mid air.
Just then a swarm of insects started to crawl out from under the carpet began to cover my body, causing my clothing to slowly evaporate into dust - but not leaving me completely naked.
"Huh? What's going on?"
I tried to swat the insects away but they outnumbered me, as they continued to crawl up and down my body - a black and grey suit, shirt and trousers formed on my body to replace the evaporated clothing.
I noticed that my slipper socks were also radidly melting off my feet as the insects began crawling in between, making a pair of slick black shoes appear on my feet.
"Okay this is strange..."
The insects crawled off my body and scurried off as I started growing taller and more lithe, until I was about 6'1 in height - and I was now a lot skinnier than I normally was.
"Woah....i'm the same height as..."
In addition to this I noticed that my already brown hair was turning a darker shade of brown and spiking up a bit - this definitely looked familiar to me.
My skin start losing it's fair tone and becoming quite pale, not as in ghostly white but more of an extremely pale and sickly type of pale colour.
"The hair...the pale skin....this all sounds familiar to me...but I cannot put my fingers on it!"
I raised my eyebrow, and saw that they were also growing a little bit thicker as my features were morphing and reshaping themselves. They weren't entirely invisible but were still there.
My forehead was growing slightly higher and my eyes were becoming narrower and slightly sunken.
My neck also was slightly longer and my features were looking more anguluar as my lips grew thinner, my facial expression curling itself into a sullen but at the same time foboding grimace.
I pondered who I was starting to resemble but it dawned upon me as my cheekbones became more pronounced, making my cheeks look slightly sunken as well.
"Wait...a minute....these features...the pale skin, the spiked up hair...the lithe, tall frame...ummm.......the sunken eyes....now who do I know that has these features?"
Just then my voice grew deeper and slightly become gravellier and lower but with a very distinctive tone.
It sounded very stoic and hypnotic...and also quite menacing, but not entirely terrifying on it's one but still pretty imtimidating.
In addition to this it developed a sort of New York accent, specifically one that came from Queens.
"I've got it! The spiky hair, the pale complexion, the sunken eyes, these facial features, the voice...my god...the voice....it's.....it's...."
I turned to look at that portrait I had of the Hessian from Sleepy Hollow and my Prophecy movie poster, it was then I knew who I was turning into....I was turning into Christopher Walken.
I couldn't believe it...my morph was actually working, I was turning into him - and now I even sounded like him.
".....Oh my god! I'm turning into Christopher Walken! This is so...so..so...so...weird but it's AWESOME at the same time! My god...I even sound like him. Wow!" I exclaimed, my voice now sounding a more like Walken's voice.
I gave a sly smile as my transformation completed itself, when the transformation was completed I rose up from my bed/couch combo, just like a vampire rising out of it's coffin in a horror movie.
I ran over to the mirror, upon seeing my reflection - I was surprised and yet totally pleased to see that I had become Christopher Walken, right down to his mannerisms and voice and everything.
"Wow! I'm Walken now? Man this is amazing! FINALLY....a morph of mine that's actually not just one done right...but one that was epic and one of me into the coolest actor to grace the silver-screen! I love it!"
Suddenly I felt the urge to dance, and immediately I started to dance - to my surprise I was actually pretty good - not just pretty good but excellent - like I was a naturally gifted dancer. I was pulling off all of Walken's dance moves with ease.
"Woah! That is incredible! I can dance like him too? This is just incredible beyond belief. I love being Christopher Walken...this is the best thing that's ever happened to me...the best thing...ever." I quipped in Walken's voice, whispering halfway in the middle of a sentence before gasping in surprise. "Wow...did I just whipser in the middle of a sentence? Now that is surreal."
Just then I heard a knock at the door and I ran over to answer it, once I opened the door I saw my good friend Adam Hughes aka BrainiacAdam standing there.
"Hello, Nathan."
"Oh, hello Adam."
"Woah...Nathan...what happened to you? You sound different....you sound like...you sound like..."
"Well...can you guess who I sound like?"
"I sure can...you sound like Christopher Walken. You're even talking like him."
"I know."
Upon looking up at me, Adam was surprised to see how much I had changed, he couldn't believe his eyes.
"Y-y-you look like Walken as well? Oh my god...it's like you ARE him!"
"Well yes..."
"Did that morphing software do it again?"
"Yep...and it actually got something right this time... this is wonderful...I really love this!"
"How do you feel?"
"I feel like a little boy who's lost his first tooth, put it under his pillow, waiting for the tooth-fairy to come. Only two evil burglars have crept in my window, and snatched it, before she could get here... Wait a second, do you understand the CONCEPT of the tooth-fairy? Explain it to them... Wait. She takes the god damned thing, and gives you a quarter. They've got my tooth. I want it back."
"Wow....nice Walken quotation there."
"Thanks...and actually I feel pretty good, this is a hell of a lot better than being turned into Russell Brand."
"I'll say....did you ever see that Walking Dead parody called The Walken Dead? It's hillarious."
"Say...Adam.."
"Yes?"
"I've got a little story to tell you."
"Ooh - a story what it is about?"
"Two little mice fell in a bucket of cream. The first mouse quickly gave up and drowned. The second mouse, wouldn't quit. He struggled so hard that eventually he turned that cream into butter and crawled out. Gentlemen, as of this moment, I am that second mouse."
"That was such a beautiful story, and another brilliant Walken quotation, might I add?"
"Thank you."
"No problem. I see that you enjoy being Chris so I'll leave you to do what you best and be on my way."
With that Adam gave me a high-five and then left and headed back home, I waved to him before heading back inside.
As for what happened later, I actually found a way to stay as Christopher Walken for a while longer - which enabled me to actually take advantage of this and post on facebook AS Walken - which caught the attention of Tony Paulson, one of my facebook pals and fellow Walken fans.
I have to say that it's pretty damn sweet being Walken actually, it's certainly a lot more fun than being someone like Russell Brand that's for sure. Sure it can be a little strange at first but one gets used to it.
Now if you excuse me...I've got a fever and the only presciption is more cowbell - i've just gotta have more cowbell.
