Journey to Dreamland

Adventure can happen almost anytime and anywhere, even during the night and our favorite duo always knew this as a matter of fact. It was a Sunday night in the Nile Road house, and it was a very magical night, it was around 10pm and our favorite duo was getting ready for bed as they put on their nightclothes, they had a long and interesting day and they needed to get some reason. ‘I cannot wait for sleepytime.’ Oats exclaimed as he put on his pink night-dress and night-gown that made him look like a beautiful princess…’Sleepytime adventures are just as fun as daytime adventures’. The covid microbe put on his special sleepytime hat and pajamas as he floated over, he and Oats had both brushed their teeth before going on the computer for a bit.

“Are you ready for our sleepytime trip to dreamland?”

“I sure am Oats, we have to get ready first.”

“Are you going to bring a friend with us?”

“I sure am.”

They stayed up throughout that hour and right up until ten fifty, after 10 fifty they turned off the computer and Corey decided on a microbe to go with him and Oats for the night, he picked out Christov the cold sore and the trio all got ready. Once it got to 11pm the duo jumped into bed and snuggled up as their favorite classical music station began to switch over the programming from ‘Made in New Zealand’ to New Music Dreams. ‘Yaaay! Our favorite program is on.’ ‘Yaay. I love New Music Dreams.’ ‘I bet there’s some new ambient music to take us to dream-land.’ ‘Oh boy, oh boy..oh boy, let’s go.’ It was obvious they were excited about this since this was their absolute favorite programme there and it made them happy as they got into bed and turned off the light as they drifted off together. As they drifted off, their bed began to turn into a floating cloud bus that took them from their home into a fantastic dream-world setting.

Corey opened his eyes as he saw the fantastical dream-world that they had arrived in, it looked like a palace…in fact it looked like Oats’s idea of a dream home. ‘Woah…did you dream this place up, Oatsie?’ ‘I sure did. Do you like the palace?’ Oats trotted over and showed Christov and Corey what his dream place looked like, it was a glamorous pink equine palace with lots of things that made him happy, all of his friends from Kinzville were there too. ‘This is dream-land, in the dream-land, you can do anything you like and be anything you like as well.’

“We can be anything we want? That’s awesome.”

Oats concentrated and as he did he transformed into a graceful ballerina horse-woman who danced across the sky, whinnying as he did. Corey also concentrated and as he did, he became a funky disco ball microbe that spun around and moved to ambient music, the two of them found they could turn into all sorts of different forms. They also learned a lot about how ‘dream powers’ work, in addition to this the two of them took the ‘Dream elevator’ to numerous different floors which contained interesting dream-world settings based on the places they had been which played out like a video-game, specifically a platformer.

They made animal friends in the zoo dream-scape based on their Auckland Zoo trip, met all sorts of crazy monsters and got to be mad scientists in the Weta Workshop Unleashed dream area, went on a berry-picking and fun train-ride in the Zaberri World area, palled around with birds and eels at the park, raced on One Tree Hill to find some treasure, experienced the majesty of Butterfly Creek, and even took a wonderful deep dive underwater in the Kelly Tarlton’s themed dream area.

Also in addition to this the duo raced through a tunnel and came across an enchanted garden of flowers that Oats picked for his friends, they even raced through the sky and into outer space where they fought aliens, they even learned to become ‘Stand users’ in the world of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and also helped the Doctor save some bystanders from Daleks. The trio were absolutely loving their dream adventure.

Throughout the dream-world, they learned many things and had a lovely time, going on magical dreamy adventures although the night and had a wonderful time. They travelled through numerous different worlds and did a number of different interesting things, as they travelled through dream-land as a trio. Eventually they decided to go back home and as they did, the bed took on the form of a chariot that took the three of them back to their home in Nile Road, where they peacefully drifted off.

The next morning, which was a Monday morning…Corey and Oats awoke, they smiled as they got out of bed and greeted Mel. ‘Looks like someone had a nice sleep. Did you have a nice trip into dream-land last night?’ ‘Why yes. Yes we did.’ Corey explained to Mel all that they did in the dream-land and what they had learned. ‘Sounds like you had fun.’ And thus with that, the duo got dressed and had breakfast in the kitchen.

That morning the two of them talked about their journey into dream-land with all their friends and what a fantastic time they had, And thus with that another day began as the two of them had a nice time and played with their friends, and it just goes to show you, even in the land of dreams they are bound to have adventures together.
