The Dangerous Effects Of Blood Magic.

 Lessons in Blood Magic

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone has things they wish they could get rid of, Nathan Forester had what he deemed to be filler dreams...dreams that had no significance apart from showing what he desired which was companionship and maybe to be powerful, he always had that desire but he always surpressed because he didn't want to become evil.  As a half-vampire he had an assortment of powers and he could also shapeshift into anyone but his transformations were complicated, sometimes he could do it at will and sometimes it would happen at night like a typical Were scenario and sometimes it would happen under emotional stress. But he didn't hate it, not in the slightest, being a shapeshifter was everything to him and he knew it, and he had no problem with people complimenting him on his morphing either which was always a plus.  'Being a shapeshifting is a bit of a problem I must admit.'  'But you have an amazing transformation ability that you can use to your advantage.'  'I suppose that's true.'   'Wait...what did you say?'
"I said I suppose that's true."
"You SUPPOSE?"
"Is this about how dangerous your powers can be sometimes?"
"You have no idea."
He blushed,  he was always reluctant to use his powers in public because he feared people would think of him as a weirdo if he transformed in public and this worried him a lot, to the point he had to be reasured about it,  he liked being powerful and he loved his vampiric heritage but he feared what would happen if he became too powerful..that's where others had to reassure him and make him feel better, this naturally made him feel like his powers were a liability at times.  But he was Oakendale's designated monster hunter and was half-monster himself so being part supernatural being was a big help
"Your transformation powers are fantastic."
"I just wish my dreams had transformations more often."
Nathan just hated having dreams in which he wasn't the main character, the filler dreams were about his friends and nothing more or places he used to live in and no desire to go back to but they were there and those are the dreams that drove him insane,  it was also the ones in which he had a transformation he had that he really liked but he woke up before it could get really good and he'd often pant in his sleep during those.  One night while he was asleep, he was having a dream based on the 2018 film The House With A Clock In Its Walls which he had just begun to check out and was enthralled by,   he always had loved that kind of horror film where it's horrific but also fun for kids, specifically kids with a dark side in them just waiting to be unleashed.  He loved that movie, especially not just for Jack Black but for the movie's villain...Issaac Izzard, a powerful warlock who used to be partners with Jonathan but after the war he became bitter and against humanity after the horrors he had witnessed, and he vowed to undo it all with every spell he had.  Ultimately he made a deal with Azazel the most powerful demon of all and gained blue-prints of a magical clock that could be used to undo all those things he had witnessed.
Now,  he was haunting Nathan's dreams...in these dreams he would appear as his regular handsome non-ghoul self which is to say he looked very much Kyle Maclachlan-like especially since he was played by Kyle.  And he would often appear to tempt Nathan, offering to help him and to use his powers to assist him in getting rid of those, he knew of ways to do so. 'You don't have to put up with those dreams you know,  I could help you.'  'Why should I let you help me?  Aren't you evil?  Jonathan told me in the previous dream not to trust you.' 'Is that what he told you?  That's not nice in the slightest.  You can trust me.  I already know I can be of assistance to you.'
"How?"
"You want these dreams that don't contribute to who you are to leave your mind and I want to be powerful...we both want to be powerful."
"How did you know that?"
"Because I just do. And I know a lot about you too."
"What do you know about me?"
'Well I know that you come from a powerful bloodline and that you are one of the most powerful supernatural beings on earth next to demons.'  'Oh you mean.'  'Yes, the vampire.  A deadly combination of frightening and alluring, able to bewitch humans and put them under their spell and make them theirs forever.'
"So you know of my kind."
"Oh yes, I envy them a lot and I have heard many stories."
"I assure you that the stories you've heard about us all being evil and drinking human blood are untrue.  Besides, I only drink blood from a bottle."
"Don't hide your vampirism from me,  you can't anyway..."
"Issac...stay away."
Isaac chuckled as he walked over to Nathan in the dream...'Come now, you don't need to vamp out on me. We're both supernatural beings and we both want the same thing,  I could help you and I could give what you want.'  'To be powerful and to be rid of those bothersome filler dreams of mine?'  'Yes.'  'I don't know.'  'What's the matter? Don't you want this to happen?' 'It's not that I don't want to be powerful, I just that I don't want to end up like you.'
"And what is wrong with that?"
"Well you're the villain and Jonathan told me that you're not to be trusted."
"Foolish Jonathan...he swore to protect you in your previous dream but now he's not here."
Jonathan Barnavelt and his nephew Lewis had vowed to protect Nathan from Issac in the previous dream that he had and Florence was also there to protect him, however somehow Isaac had found a way to get into Nathan's dream.   'What did you do to him?'  'Nothing, at least not yet.'  'I don't like the sound of that.'  'But don't worry,  why tell him and when you can be with me?' Nathan felt uneasy and attempted to ward the warlock off with his vampire powers but Issac used a spell to put him at ease...'You know, you might be right..you're evil, but you're right.' 'Exactly.'  'And now, I can help you.'
"How are you going to do that?"
"I might need to take over your body for this to work."
"Forget it, I may have the same desire as you but I won't allow this."
But he didn't have a say in the matter as Issac took a translucient form which resembled a spirit and he opened Nathan's mouth with a spell before entering his mouth and going down his throat,  Nathan screamed as his stomach gurgled...and he attempted to spit him out but then he found himself being filled with an aura which darkened his own aura, making him feel like he was being corrupted from the inside...he panicked as he looked in the mirror, witnessing his own reflection morph into a perfect copy of Issac's. He screamed as he awoke from the dream.  'Whew, thank goodness it was just a dream.'  'But does it have to be one though?'
"Issac?"
"Yes, Nathan...i'm here."
"Am I dreaming? I must be...this must be another dream."
Nathan looked around and sitting right next to him was Issac...'But it isn't one...clearly I was sent here to help you with that desire of yours.'  'But look at you, you're...a...ghoul.' Issac took offense to the comment Nathan made,  while he was partially undead looking and he looked like a Superghoul version of how he looked in the movie but he didn't look too bad.  'Hey...that's no way to talk to your new helper.'  'Helper? What can you do that's...helpful?'  'Everything.'  'Look I just dreamed you up,  there is no way this is real.' 'Oh but I am and I know what you desire most.'
"Oh no...I wouldn't..."
"Oh yes, I would...I know what you want."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you want to be powerful, correct?"
"I guess so...yes."
Issac chuckled to himself as he made a dark energy orb materialize in his left hand,  he juggled the orb around and gave it to Nathan.  'I can grant you anything you desire, including what you desire most' 'I don't think I trust you.'  'Come now, don't you want this?'  'Uhhh..maybe.'  'What's stopping me from helping you?'  'Well the fact you're an undead ghoul. Maybe if you were how you looked in the dream and not like this.'  'Oh i'm so sorry.'   He morphed into his handsome appearance from the dream. 'That's alright, you're much better when you look like Kale and less like J.P Valkenheiser if he got taken over by the Superghoul from Ghosts.'
"I'm sorry if I scared you, but I think you should consider letting me help you."
"Jonathan told me I shouldn't do it."
"That fool was wise enough to teach you about channeling your aura but yet he forgot that I can easily enter dreams with the spell I possess."
"Hey,  Jonathan's nephew was smart enough to stop you last time."
"That was a lucky shot."
The half-undead warlock chuckled as he toyed with Nathan, using his magic to play around with things Nathan loved.  'I still don't think I should trust you.'  'Now come on, listen to me and what I offer you. Your friends love you, why do you care about things that no longer matter to you?' 'It's just I wish I could get rid of them, I don't need those memories of my old places or anything.'  'Let me help you, we can do this together.'
"But what about the protective bond?"
"Jonathan will never know..."
Nathan looked away, attempting to resist but that's when Issac cast a spell that plunged him into a trance-like state...making him obey every word the warlock had to say to him.  No matter how hard he attempted to resist,  Issac was beginning to influence him and make him want to listen to him and to listen to him/obey him.  'You want to trust me.'  'Yes...Isaac, no...wait, no I don't.'  'Oh course you do, you want to trust me and to serve me..'
"I do?  I mean yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss..."
"There we go."
"What do you want me to do?"
"Allow me to guide you."
Issac used some specific magic spells to 'guide' Nathan, as Nathan drifted in and out of trance...attempting to resist but it seemed difficult.  'No, no please don't do this.'  'Come now young Nathan, don't you want this?  This is good for you.'  'No it's not, you're evil.'  He shook his head and moaned as he began to hear Issac's deep voice entering his mind, his mind was filling with dark thoughts which also begin to darken his aura, making him moan and pant like he often did in his sleep. 'You monster, stop this.  'I didn't ask for this.'
"Oh yes you did and i'm granting you that wish."
"But not like this."
'Now now, resisting isn't good for you, if I am to help you, you musn't resist.'  'But...'  'But i'm helping you and you need me. You and I have things in our life we wish never happened and now I'm helping myself and you.'  'No I won't let you.'  'You have no choice but to and I know a few ways to do so.'   'You can't do this.'  'Oh yes I can.'  The monsterologist struggled as he attempted to resist Issac's powers, but Issac's eyes gave off a hypnotic glow and entranced him further,  making him want to give in a little bit. It was kind of like in a vampire scenario only with a powerful half-undead magic user instead of a vampire, as Issac reached for Nathan and ran his fingers threw his hair,  one of his fingernails lengthened a little, looking a bit sharper than normal as he scratched Nathan gently on the neck and a bit of blood dripped from it.
Nathan didn't want this but at the same time he had no choice...but he feared what what Jonathan and Florence would think,  Jonathan would be disappointed in him and possibly wouldn't speak to him ever again and he would definitely not want to see his friend turn to the side of evil. Jonathan had a special protective bond over Nathan, it was the same protective bond he had with his nephew Lewis, and if he were to find out about what was happening he would have been heartbroken.  'Poor Jonathan. I'd hate to break my bond with him because of this.'  'What did Jonathan ever do for you that makes you sympathize with him so much?'  'He taught me about magic and helped me throughout tough times.'  'He never helped me,  he never helped me at all.'  'But didn't he used to be your friend?'  'Yes, he did...but that was before I saw just how horrible humanity can be.'  'I know you're still traumatized from the war and all but come on, you've got to learn how to cope properly.'   'Are you disobeying me?'  'No, i'm just saying.' 'DON'T Disobey me, do you hear me.'   'You're not my master, you cannot tell me what to do...how do you plan on helping me anyway?'
"Are you disobeying me, Nathan?"
"Me...no, i'm just questioning you."
Issac hissed,  his eyes turning from brown to a shade of blue as they gave off a supernatural glow...'Do not disobey me, I am more powerful than you. My voice commands you, I command you.  You are mine, and I am here going to assist you.'  'But at what price? The price of losing my best friends?'  'Do you realy need all of those boring filler dreams about your old home and your old friends?  Do you really need those?  Of course you don't,  you don't want to think about them anymore.'  'Of course I don't.'  'Then I advise you not to disobey me.  I have dark powers that are stronger than any normal warlock's ones, you have some idea of what I could do.'
"Yes...I do but I can stop you."
Nathan hissed back, vamping out and turning into a From Dusk Till Dawn styled vampire as he hissed and lunged towards Issac.  Issac's now blue eyes glowed even brighter...'Don't disobey me, don't try your vampire powers on me.  I can mesmerize you and make you my thrall.  Try looking into that place where you dare not look you will find me there staring back at you.'  'Oh puhlease...you cannot do anything to me that won't do anything but leave a scratch.'  'SILENCE! I remember your dark aura, now remember mine...I can make you mine without even moving, I can kill an enemy with a single word!' 'Just because you're a Kyle Maclachlan character doesn't mean you can reference Dune.'  'Oh yes I can.'
"You're not going to make me do anything."
"Oh but I am.  I'm giving you what you want."
Issac sneered before running his fingers through Nathan's hair, making him shudder as he attempted to get away from him but he knew what he was doing,  he was going to take advantage of his new subject's wish by not only granting it for both him and himself but also he was going to make Jonathan pay for what happened by taking control of the one person besides his own nephew that he cared for the most and that was Nathan.    'Let go.'  'Oh no, you're mine now and i'm going to give you what you want, just repeat after me the incantation.'  'Which incantation is that?'  'Why this one of course.'  A piece of paper containing an elaborate spell or incantation with words in a language that sounded ancient, positively dating back to the dark ages and Nathan gazed upon the piece of paper, nervously gulping as a drip of his blood landed on the paper,  the blood droplet spelling out a signature...sealing his would-be-fate as being bound to the warlock.
Nathan gasped...'I'm sorry I didn't mean to. I can take that off if you like.'  'Oh no, the deal has been sealed and now I am going to officially help you get what you want.' 'But i'm afraid, i'm afraid that I won't like it and my new friends and admirers won't like it either.'  'Don't be scared.' 'But I am scared of you.'  'You don't have to be afraid of what the others think of you, the others won't judge you, or hurt you in anyway...I will see to that.'  'What about Jonathan, won't he be upset?'  'It's all going to be just fine, all you need to do is take my hand, here.'
"Are you sure?"
"I most certainly am."
Issac held out his hand and Nathan nervously grabbed and shook it, as the spell began to take hold...making him feel safer for some reason. He knew he shouldn't trust this evil warlock but yet he felt bad for him.   He was a villain sympathizer and he knew it,  he couldn't help it...he always did relate more to the villain or monsters in horror scenarios, especially if the heroes were too stupid to know better.   This was the reason Issac sought him out anyway, because he needed someone he could gain the trust of and mold.
He began to pant as he felt a cold sensation, this was the result of something going wrong from within as his aura detection power picked up a dark aura emitting from Issac, attempting to ward him off with the methods Jonathan had taught him but the cold sensation just kept spreading.  Making him feel like he was going to catch a monstrous cold at any minute.  But then Issac hypnotized him, making him feel into the same trance he fell into before,  he did this numerous times and each time Nathan attempted to resist,  but with each time he attempted to do so...it sent a shockwave of dark red supernatural through his body which made it so that everytime he attempted to even resist or disobey Issac, it would case him pain -  even thinking about it would do it.  Maybe this was part of Issac's spell, maybe this was what was doing it.  But he dreaded what was about to happen next.
"Now that I have your signature...what's going to happen next?"
"Oh,  that is the fun part...you know.  I get to help make it better."
Issac cast a spell on Nathan's dreams, the spell was one that altered the dream's structure and made it so that he wouldn't have to think about those anymore.  Those teachers he had to work with in school were becoming a distant memory to him, but he didn't care...they never liked him anyway, they always thought of him as a bad influence...apart from that one Spanish teacher who taught him about monsters and got him obsessed due to her comics collection,  she stayed in his memories and dreams.  He always did love his Spanish teacher for that reason along with her looks, plus she was the only non-insane teacher in the bunch.   'I have to admit, Ms Hervae knew a lot about monsters. And she must have known the other teachers were monsters.'  'Yet she was the only one who was nice to you.'  'Yes.'
Nathan thought about Kirsten 'Kirsty' Burville, an old friend of his from England who loved horror stories and was a Michael Jackson fan,  she also loved werecreatures and was a werecreature herself.  She was a werecat to be exact and a lovely one, but he also thought about how good it would be to see Stephanie Hadingham get her comeuppance,  Stephanie was the girl who liked to take advantage of other students and befriend them or to try and steal their own friends away from them.  'I hate her.  I wish I could have done something to get rid of her.'
"That's it..think about those moments."
"But there are good ones too."
"You'll get to keep those."
He was nervous and he was having second thoughts about this but there was no turning back now, his blood had made the signature and now he was Issac's and Issac had plans for him. 'Issac,  I don't think is good, this isn't...'  'Hush now, don't be afraid. With my help those bad flashback dreams of yours will be no more and you can dream whatever you want.'  Nathan gasped and closed his eyes, hoping that he was right and as he did be began to feel a lot better,  all those bad flashback dreams except for the ones about the people who truly loved him,  disappeared...vanishing away,  allowing the new visions and dreams to influence him.  He remembered when he had those nightmares about Russell Brand back when Russell was evil,  he always would be horrified of becoming like Russell but he knew that Russell didn't mean to turn out the way he did.
Russell after all was treated unfairly since he was the failure in his family of dark supernatural beings, it wasn't easy for him in the slightest but after he nearly got hunted down he decided to change his ways, Nathan knew how he felt about that given he had to deal with his 'Hessian' side for a while until a friend of his cast a spell that got rid of the annoying aspect of having to change back and forth,  and of course that's how Chris the alpha Walken was brought into the world.  Nathan was still rather nervous about this but he began to feel a lot better as his dreams rearranged themselves, this time these were focusing on him gaining new powers...he already had some magical abilities in his dreams next to his transformations like for example his elemental powers such as his water magic and also his ability to talk to almost any species.   His heartbeat was increasing at a rapid rate as he began to pant, which could mean only one thing...he was about to transform, and in that dream he was transforming into Issac,  at first he seemed like he was crying about his transformation but then he started to feel different about it, like he wanted it...and he didn't understand why.    When he awoke from the dream he looked up a the warlock.
"What did you to me?"
"I take it my powers have worked on you."
Nathan didn't want this but at the same time he had no choice...but he feared what what Jonathan and Florence would think,  Jonathan would be disappointed in him and possibly wouldn't speak to him ever again and he would definitely not want to see his friend turn to the side of evil. Jonathan had a special protective bond over Nathan, it was the same protective bond he had with his nephew Lewis, and if he were to find out about what was happening he would have been heartbroken.  'Poor Jonathan. I'd hate to break my bond with him because of this.'  'What did Jonathan ever do for you that makes you sympathize with him so much?'  'He taught me about magic and helped me throughout tough times.'  'He never helped me,  he never helped me at all.'  'But didn't he used to be your friend?'  'Yes, he did...but that was before I saw just how horrible humanity can be.'  'I know you're still traumatized from the war and all but come on, you've got to learn how to cope properly.'   'Are you disobeying me?'  'No, i'm just saying.' 'DON'T Disobey me, do you hear me.'   'You're not my master, you cannot tell me what to do...how do you plan on helping me anyway?'
"Are you disobeying me, Nathan?"
"Me...no, i'm just questioning you."
Issac hissed,  his eyes turning from brown to a shade of blue as they gave off a supernatural glow...'Do not disobey me, I am more powerful than you. My voice commands you, I command you.  You are mine, and I am here going to assist you.'  'But at what price? The price of losing my best friends?'  'Do you realy need all of those boring filler dreams about your old home and your old friends?  Do you really need those?  Of course you don't,  you don't want to think about them anymore.'  'Of course I don't.'  'Then I advise you not to disobey me.  I have dark powers that are stronger than any normal warlock's ones, you have some idea of what I could do.'
"Yes...I do but I can stop you."
Nathan hissed back, vamping out and turning into a From Dusk Till Dawn styled vampire as he hissed and lunged towards Issac.  Issac's now blue eyes glowed even brighter...'Don't disobey me, don't try your vampire powers on me.  I can mesmerize you and make you my thrall.  Try looking into that place where you dare not look you will find me there staring back at you.'  'Oh puhlease...you cannot do anything to me that won't do anything but leave a scratch.'  'SILENCE! I remember your dark aura, now remember mine...I can make you mine without even moving, I can kill an enemy with a single word!' 'Just because you're a Kyle Maclachlan character doesn't mean you can reference Dune.'  'Oh yes I can.'
"You're not going to make me do anything."
"Oh but I am.  I'm giving you what you want."
Issac sneered before running his fingers through Nathan's hair, making him shudder as he attempted to get away from him but he knew what he was doing,  he was going to take advantage of his new subject's wish by not only granting it for both him and himself but also he was going to make Jonathan pay for what happened by taking control of the one person besides his own nephew that he cared for the most and that was Nathan.    'Let go.'  'Oh no, you're mine now and i'm going to give you what you want, just repeat after me the incantation.'  'Which incantation is that?'  'Why this one of course.'  A piece of paper containing an elaborate spell or incantation with words in a language that sounded ancient, positively dating back to the dark ages and Nathan gazed upon the piece of paper, nervously gulping as a drip of his blood landed on the paper,  the blood droplet spelling out a signature...sealing his would-be-fate as being bound to the warlock.
Nathan gasped...'I'm sorry I didn't mean to. I can take that off if you like.'  'Oh no, the deal has been sealed and now I am going to officially help you get what you want.' 'But i'm afraid, i'm afraid that I won't like it and my new friends and admirers won't like it either.'  'Don't be scared.' 'But I am scared of you.'  'You don't have to be afraid of what the others think of you, the others won't judge you, or hurt you in anyway...I will see to that.'  'What about Jonathan, won't he be upset?'  'It's all going to be just fine, all you need to do is take my hand, here.'
"Are you sure?"
"I most certainly am."
Issac held out his hand and Nathan nervously grabbed and shook it, as the spell began to take hold...making him feel safer for some reason. He knew he shouldn't trust this evil warlock but yet he felt bad for him.   He was a villain sympathizer and he knew it,  he couldn't help it...he always did relate more to the villain or monsters in horror scenarios, especially if the heroes were too stupid to know better.   This was the reason Issac sought him out anyway, because he needed someone he could gain the trust of and mold.
He began to pant as he felt a cold sensation, this was the result of something going wrong from within as his aura detection power picked up a dark aura emitting from Issac, attempting to ward him off with the methods Jonathan had taught him but the cold sensation just kept spreading.  Making him feel like he was going to catch a monstrous cold at any minute.  But then Issac hypnotized him, making him feel into the same trance he fell into before,  he did this numerous times and each time Nathan attempted to resist,  but with each time he attempted to do so...it sent a shockwave of dark red supernatural through his body which made it so that everytime he attempted to even resist or disobey Issac, it would case him pain -  even thinking about it would do it.  Maybe this was part of Issac's spell, maybe this was what was doing it.  But he dreaded what was about to happen next.
"Now that I have your signature...what's going to happen next?"
"Oh,  that is the fun part...you know.  I get to help make it better."
Issac cast a spell on Nathan's dreams, the spell was one that altered the dream's structure and made it so that he wouldn't have to think about those anymore.  Those teachers he had to work with in school were becoming a distant memory to him, but he didn't care...they never liked him anyway, they always thought of him as a bad influence...apart from that one Spanish teacher who taught him about monsters and got him obsessed due to her comics collection,  she stayed in his memories and dreams.  He always did love his Spanish teacher for that reason along with her looks, plus she was the only non-insane teacher in the bunch.   'I have to admit, Ms Hervae knew a lot about monsters. And she must have known the other teachers were monsters.'  'Yet she was the only one who was nice to you.'  'Yes.'
Nathan thought about Kirsten 'Kirsty' Burville, an old friend of his from England who loved horror stories and was a Michael Jackson fan,  she also loved werecreatures and was a werecreature herself.  She was a werecat to be exact and a lovely one, but he also thought about how good it would be to see Stephanie Hadingham get her comeuppance,  Stephanie was the girl who liked to take advantage of other students and befriend them or to try and steal their own friends away from them.  'I hate her.  I wish I could have done something to get rid of her.'
"That's it..think about those moments."
"But there are good ones too."
"You'll get to keep those."
He was nervous and he was having second thoughts about this but there was no turning back now, his blood had made the signature and now he was Issac's and Issac had plans for him. 'Issac,  I don't think is good, this isn't...'  'Hush now, don't be afraid. With my help those bad flashback dreams of yours will be no more and you can dream whatever you want.'  Nathan gasped and closed his eyes, hoping that he was right and as he did be began to feel a lot better,  all those bad flashback dreams except for the ones about the people who truly loved him,  disappeared...vanishing away,  allowing the new visions and dreams to influence him.  He remembered when he had those nightmares about Russell Brand back when Russell was evil,  he always would be horrified of becoming like Russell but he knew that Russell didn't mean to turn out the way he did.
Russell after all was treated unfairly since he was the failure in his family of dark supernatural beings, it wasn't easy for him in the slightest but after he nearly got hunted down he decided to change his ways, Nathan knew how he felt about that given he had to deal with his 'Hessian' side for a while until a friend of his cast a spell that got rid of the annoying aspect of having to change back and forth,  and of course that's how Chris the alpha Walken was brought into the world.  Nathan was still rather nervous about this but he began to feel a lot better as his dreams rearranged themselves, this time these were focusing on him gaining new powers...he already had some magical abilities in his dreams next to his transformations like for example his elemental powers such as his water magic and also his ability to talk to almost any species.   His heartbeat was increasing at a rapid rate as he began to pant, which could mean only one thing...he was about to transform, and in that dream he was transforming into Issac,  at first he seemed like he was crying about his transformation but then he started to feel different about it, like he wanted it...and he didn't understand why.    When he awoke from the dream he looked up a the warlock.
"What did you to me?"
"I take it my powers have worked on you."
"Yes...all those filler dreams are gone but there's something else."
"Ah yes...the other part I was about to tell you about."
"I should have known."
'Well...I have given you dreams of having supernatural powers that are just as powerful as mine and also of becoming like me.'  This horrified Nathan as he looked over at Issac, his supernatural sense was going off like crazy as if he knew something was going to happen.  'What? No...no...no, I take back everything I said, I want my boring dreams back.'  'A deal is a deal and now I am going to help you even more,  now you shouldn't be afraid of becoming as powerful as I am.'  'But i'll turn evil and I don't want to be evil.'   Nathan felt a little bit dizzy and a little bit weak but luckily he was able to summon Jonathan and Florence to help him.  'Thank goodness you two are here, I need your help.'   'That's what we're here for.' Jonathan heard Izzac's laugh and turned over to see him.
"You two!"
"Issac...what are you doing here?  I thought Lewis defeated you."
"I always find new ways. And I found a new subject."
Issac smirked as he pointed to Nathan.  'Nathan! Oh no.'  'Jonathan, Florence...i'm so sorry. I didn't know what I was getting myself into,  I basically needed help with getting rid of boring dreams that didn't have a purpose in my dream's storyline but Issac started appearing in them and offering to help me.  I told him that you guys told me to be aware of him and all.'  'There there it's alright.'  'He used one of his ghoulish fingernails to scratch me, and my blood has gone onto the paper.  Now I am bound to him and I don't know if i'm going to be okay.'
"As long as he didn't turn you into an undead or anything."
"Oh don't you worry Jonathan,  I won't undeadify your friend."
Jonathan used a spell to turn himself into an owl-person as he leered in the direction of his former friend...'You better not do it,  because we care about Nathan.'  'Funny about that caring thing, you never cared for me.'   Issac responded.   'That's not true, I do.'  'Jonathan, you have no idea what i've seen.' 'Oh I have and I know what happened.'   Nathan whimpered a little, jolting back in pain as he felt a cold sensation going through him as if someone had cast an ice spell on him...he felt like he was going to turn into a snow-monster.   He shuddered as Jonathan wrapped his arms around him. The good warlock could tell Nathan was a litle bit upset about this,  and that was afraid...that fear of course fueled Issac and made the bond stronger.
"What do you plan on doing to him?"
"Well...Jonathan, old friend. I plan on teaching him the same way you taught your nephew."
"You're going to make him your apprentice?"
"That's right, my evil apprentice that is."
Nathan groaned, covering his ears and not wanting this to happen...but he knew there was no turning back. 'Jonathan, do you have any of those enchanted horseshoes and clovers left?'  'Yes.'  'Just in case I end up turning into Issac, I want you to use these on me.'  'Okay...you can count on me.'  'I fear I might end up  being like him.' Jonathan vowed to protect him no matter what and he knew that the techniques he taught Nathan could help, and he held him in his arms as Florence hugged him.   He began to feel weak as he collapsed on the ground, his aura was slowly beginning to dim as he was having more visions.   He was having visions about the old home he lived in, he had a vision of him and Victoria...the spellcaster who he had a close friendship with. 'Victoria...what are you doing here?  It's not safe.'  'Nathan...is that you?'  'Yes, it's me. I'm here for you.'  'These creatures that keep stalking me...they are after me and you.  They come for me at night. And they have come for you.'
"Then you shouldn't be here, just in case they find you."
"But I cannot leave, they have trapped me here."
Victoria was crying in front of the fire in the living room of the house, she didn't seem like her usual perky self...there was a trail of crimson spots dripping from her arm and onto the floor, leading into the night, as Nathan got out of his chair within the vision he tried to comfort her, she cried as she heard whispers.  This place used to be a nice place to live until the dark nightmare forces made it their own, taking all he loved with it except for his friends who stayed behind.   When he had visions of this he would wake up in the bedroom...'I feel so hungry, I feel so dry', he muttered to himself.  'I must be sleepwalking.'   Of course in this vision and the others he would think he was sleep-walking, he must still be asleep...or rather he thought that he was.  Could it be he was sharing the same kind of dark and horrific experiences that Issac had?
He cried as he saw the crimson spots that dripped from her arm and that's when he looked at his hands and yelped as he saw his fingernails lengthening, resembling the fingernails Issac had in his ghoul form, the very nails that scratched him the first time.  The crimson spots were coming from his hands,  he had seen the dark and nameless sins and visions of his life,  being hunted/haunted by a million twisted things, terrors of the night.  Suddenly he realized, he saw it all through real eyes that the images were all in his mind and that the terrors of the night were actually there though.  But he and Victoria hurried upstairs to the bedroom and decided to hide there.  'But we're safe here...and they'll never find us.' He assured her as he held her.   'I love you...' 'I love you too.'
"When this is over I hope we'll make it okay."
"We're safe now,  they won't get to us."
That's when Issac materialized, chuckling at him and smirking.  'Silly Nathan,  you need to learn that i'm only just starting with this. If you think that this is all i'm going to do to you. But the forces of darkness and I aren't finished with you, at least not even close to being finished...yet.  You may be protected by Jonathan and Florence outside of here, but even your bedroom and dreams cannot save you.'  'But this isn't it, isn't it?'  'You may think that you are safe in your bedroom, but bedrooms are only temporary sanctuaries from nightmares.' 'This wasn't supposed to be happening.'  'Oh but it is.'
"But I can keep you away."
"For how long though?"
"If I am still able to fix this...for quite a while."
'You may think this is a nightmare but this is all real. It's all part of what is happening to you. I have given you the good but now it's time to take away the bad parts of your flashback dreams, like those pesky frenemies of yours.'   'I want this to end.'  'It can but first, all you need to trust me.'  Issac's eyes turned blue once again and gave off that eerie glow that entranced Nathan and drifted off into a trance-like state. 'If you say so.'  'There we go...sweet dreams.'  That's when Nathan awoke from the vision, whimpering as Florence wrapped a purple feather cloak around him to keep him safe, the cloak was made to resemble a pair of wings akin to a butterfly,  the purple butterfly was always an animal that was associated with Florence due to purple being her signature color.
"I'm scared.  Please help me."
Nathan shuddered and shivered, that cold feeling from before was spreading and making him feel like something wasn't right. Issac took advantage of this and entranced Nathan an additional number of times with his glowing eyes and his commands, the monsterologist attempted to resist but his mind was being jumbled up and conditioned into letting it happen to him.  'That's right...don't worry, let me help you feel better about this.'  'Nooooo...Nathan!' Jonathan used a spell to try and repell Issac away but Issac decided to gain an unfair advantage by summoning more creatures.  'Okay...we're gonna need backup.'
"You better hurry if you want to help your friend."
Jonathan summoned some ghostly horses from his spellbook and the horses whinnied as they marched into battle against Issac's monsters.  The good warlock definitely was gaining the upper-hand up until the point when Issac summoned a shadow-monster to go after him, Jonathan cast a spell to try and keep the shadow-monster away but he was hit by a dark energy beam that weakened him.  'Jonathan!' 'Don't you worry about me,  it's only a weakening spell.'    Nathan snapped out of the trance as he tried to combat Issac with his vampire powers,  only to get a shock of dark magical energy entering his body that caused pain.  'Aaaaaaaaaah! This hurts so much...why?'  'It's simple. We're are bound to-eachother, if you try to harm me or fight against me or fight against my influence, you will feel pain in the form of that spell affecting you.'
Florence assisted Jonathan before comforting Nathan and using her purple umbrella to shield the dark energy attacks but before she could help him further Issac cast a smoke spell on himself and Nathan, making the two of them disappear.  'I hate it when he does it.' The two spelcasters began to work on a way to keep up with Nathan and Issac, and also thought up a plan of action.  Issac put Nathan into another trance-like state, as he drifted off and dreamed of a scene that was an reenactment of the dance scene from Fright Night (1985) only with Nathan in the place of Amy, and Issac in the place of Jerry.  Issac did the same moves as Jerry in the dance scene as he and Nathan danced in the dream, also guiding him in the way of dark magic.  While Nathan attempted to resist he couldn't help but enjoy it, so much he panted in his sleep...after the dance, he gazed into the mirror and saw his reflection morphing and warping...becoming Issac's.
A couple of hours later, he awoke in the basement of the house that Issac lived in and he felt scared. 'Did you sleep well?'  'Uhhh...no I had a weird dream, and it was about....'  Nathan looked up at Issac and then looked down at himself, was he was frightened and confused. 'Me?'  'Yes...you were guiding me in dark magic and...huh? Where am I?  Where's Jonathan?'  Issac looked over at him and smiled.  'You're here and safe with me. You know, you remind me of someone I knew...a long time ago.'  Nathan attempted to get up but it was proving to be a bit of a challenge, as the dark warlock performed another spell that would bind the two of them together.
"What are you going to do to me now?"
"If we are to be bound together then I shall need your body and your mind for this."
"No, I won't let you."
"Hush..."
The monsterologist attempted to counter the spell but Issac took on a translucient form and popped up from behind him.  Nathan let out a loud scream as he attempted to fight him off but Issac dived into his mouth and down his throat, transfering his evil aura into him and possessing him in the process, the spell binding the two together.  'No...get out of me. I don't want this.'  'Now now, you asked for me to help you and now I shall, relax and let me guide you.'   Nathan didn't like the sound of that and attempted to get out, attempting to find a way out but he just couldn't,  he attempted to spit Issac out but he just couldn't.
"Ugh...what are you going to do to me?"
"Fully seal the deal of course."
That's when he heard an unearthly sound emitting from his stomach, a sound that sounded more like it belonged to some kind of monster from another world,  that gurgling sound in his stomach always meant something bad was going to happen to him.  Which it was and that's when he began to hear Issac's voice in his head,  that's when he felt a similar sensation to the cold sensation that was earlier only it was spreading all over his body and tingling in the process.  His heart-beat increased rapidly as his skin bubbled and slowly began to clear up, even some of the scars he had were fading into his skin,  which was becoming flawless looking but still masculine. His chest and torso slowly began to fill out and swell, becoming toned and a bit muscled..along with his arms which lengthened and his hands enlarged, a ring like the one Issac wore materialized on one of his fingers.
"Ugh...I don't feel good.  I don't think I look good either.  What's going on?"
"Why you're becoming like me of course, look at you."
He examined his body and then took a closer look at his hands, his hands definitely looked more like they weren't his...neither was his body as his stomach slowly contorted to become more athletic, he groaned as his legs lengthened and he attempted to cast a spell of his own to combat it, only for the spell to increase as his feet slowly changed...his clothing slowly turning into a modernized version of Issac's outfit as he couldn't help but oddly feel entranced by his transformation, as he was panting...'Woah, this feels pretty good, it's almost ike this is natural and I...like it. No, wait...what am I saying? Nate, snap out of this. Can't you see Izzac is corrupting you and is influencing you from within?'.   Nathan looked at his much more althetic frame as he groaned,  he was attempting to resist the changes by using the prevention techniques Jonathan had taught him but the spell was increasing, making him pant and want more.
Sparks of dark energy supernatural energy shot out through his fingertips, almost like Force Lightning as he panted and couldn't help but think that Izzac was right and that what he was doing was a good thing but he was conflicted, he wanted to be a good helper to Jonathan and his nephew and he didn't want to let them down but yet the influence of Issac was making him think differently as he groaned.  He loved Jonathan and he loved helping Jonathan yet his villain sympathizer nature made him feel bad for Izzac, sometimes he just felt conflicted morally.   He attempted to use a spell to undo what was happening but he heard Issac's laugh in his mind.  'Oooh look at you now,  coming along nicely. I definitely think you're improving.'  'Please undo this.  I don't want this.'  'Oh but you do. My lessons and spells are paying off and i'm giving you the best gift any warlock could ask for.'  'You call this a gift?'  'Yes..definitely a gift, and it's improving you as well.'
He felt more chilling sensations as his aura flashed back and forth going from a bright color to a dark grey to a black color as all of the bright areas slowly faded, his aura darkened and blackened as his back and shoulders stretched as he slowly grew in height to 6'1...his normal height of 5'7 no longer was there,  as he took a deep look at himself and then gasped as his neckline altered.  He ran his hands through his hair which was darkenening and lengthening, becoming wavier as his brow elevated itself up and his eyebrows thickened,   he attempted to resist it and attempted to morph back to normal but no matter how he tried he wound up back in the mid-transformation state. 'I'm sorry,  I didn't mean for this to happen.'  He sobbed as he attempted to keep those dark thoughts from entering his mind.
"Oh but didn't you ask for this?"
"I only wanted help in getting rid of the dreams I didn't like so much."
His eyes slowly widened as they also darkened but gave off an eerie blue supernatural glow, while his nose slowly refined itself into a nose that was refined looking and resembled Issac's as his lips slowly became a bit more irresistible than normal while his features contorted, his jawline altering as his features slowly became less like his usual ones and more attractive...slowly contorting into an identical copy of Izzac's features and within a couple of seconds later,  he fully resembled Issac.  While he looked like Issac though, he stil sounded like his regular self.  'Well I guess that wasn't too bad...' 'We're not done yet.'  'Oh no no no...no.'  He shivered a little as he knew that Issac wasn't done yet, he could still hear the warlock's voice in his head.
"Please oh please...no.."
"You look like me...now i'm going to complete you."
'Why fight it now, Nathan?  You know this is good for you.'  'It's good for me?'  'Why yes it is, you've always been like this.'  'No I don't think so, I haven't been like this. I am not you Issac.' He shook his head, trying to think of anything else besides what was happening to him and as he did..he breathed in and out, but with each breath his voice was deepening and altering, contorting and warping into a perfect copy of Issac's voice,  that is how Izzac sounded when he wasn't a ghoul.  Which was to say he now looked and sounded like he was a Kyle Maclachlan character right down to the dazzling good looks and that's when he looked in the mirror -  he saw his reflection becoming Issac's as he looked at himself and held his head.
The dark thoughts from before were starting to enter his mind once more...making him think differently about his friendship with Jonathan.  He was conflicted, torn between feeling bad for what happened to Jonathan and to himself and for everything he had done and also hating Jonathan and viewing him as an enemy rather than a friend,  he moaned and attempted to resist...but the trance increased even more, making him think it was completely natural as his mind and personality slowly altered, his personality and mind merging with Issac's as his aura darkened completely, turning his alignment from good to evil as he felt less like himself and more like he was Issac as he gained some of Issac's memories,  a few more seconds later and the transformation was completed,  fully turning him into a newly ressurected Issac, he was glad to be back as he examined himself.
The new Issac decided it was time to get back at Jonathan and Florence,  to do so he used a voice mimicking spell to mimic Nathan's voice.  'Florence, Jonathan..help, help! Issac has got me and he's about to make me one of his undead minions!'.   Jonathan and Florence heard this, although Jonathan knew something suspiscious was going one,  both of them used a teleportation spell to get to the basement of the house.  Florence attempted to get inside with a spell but one of the doors was sealed shut as Jonathan used his magic to get over to where 'Nathan' was.  That's when he saw mist on the ground and from the mist 'Nathan' emerged, albeit a version of him with longer hair.
"Nathan...thank goodness you're safe."
"Hello Jonathan."
"Nathan...you seem different.  Are you alright?"
"Oh I am just fine, thank you for your concern!"
'Nathan' looked over at Jonathan...his eyes turned a piercing blue color and gave off a supernatural glow which alarmed Jonathan. Jonathan concentrated and attempted to use a magic spell to stop him, he sensed something was very wrong with him and gestured to Florence.  'Nathan, it's me.'  'I'm so glad you're here, because it oh was so horrible.'   Jonathan looked at 'Nathan',  he broke down in tears as he looked in Jonathan's direction.
"What did he do?"
"It was horrible,  Izzac tried to make me into one of the undead."
"There there...i'm here, everything's all better now."
Jonathan sensed that something was indeed wrong with Nathan as Nathan drew closer to him, hissing and looking rather sinisterly at him.  The good warlock shivered as his friend came closer still, running his hands through his much longer hair.  'Hurry Florence, get that thing open!'  he exclaimed, calling to Florence from the other side of the door.  'It's locked from the inside.'  Nathan snarled slightly as he smirked at him,  his dark aura spent a chill down the good warlock's spine, making him feel frightened of him.
"What's the matter Jonathan? Don't you recognize me anymore? Am I not your friend anymore?"
"Nathan...."
Nathan hissed, but not before Jonathan held up a horseshoe that was powered by light magic which repelled him,  but then 'Nathan' began to cover his face with his hands and sob.  'Nathan...what's wrong? Why are you crying?'  'It's not my fault Jonathan, you promised you wouldn't let Issac get me,  you promised!'.   'I'm so sorry.'   Jonathan attempted to comfort him but then Nathan turned around and hissed, before turning back from himself into Izzac, who smirked at him.
"Issac..what have you done to Nathan?"
"Oh you mean your friend?  He's right here with me...."
"Where? I only see you."
"We're one and the same now..."
Issac hissed as he cast a dark supernatural energy spell on Jonathan who tried to counter with a light magic spell,  luckily Florence managed to find a spell to automaticaly unlock the door.  Florence used that spell to get into the basement and to go over and help her neighbor.  Jonathan conjured a few fireball spells and summoned some scarecrows and living dolls to do battle with Issac, who in turn summoned some shadow-creatures and monsters.   The two of them had a magical battle for quite a while with an amount of shapeshifting/morphing.
"We can do this Jonathan, we can save you."
"I know just what to do."
Jonathan knew of how to get the spell to weaken slightly, as he pulled out a special incantation which he used to play a soothing sound that snapped Nathan/Issac briefly out of trance.  'Guys, help me! Please, please!' Nathan begged,  feeling a little bit threatened as he morphed briefly into how he normally looked...'Don't worry, we're going to save you.'   Nathan's eyes gave off a supernatural glow as he snapepd at the good warlock,  picking him up by the neck.  'Who says I want to be saved? Can't you see I like this?',  that's when he morphed back into Issac.
"You're our best friend and we're going to help you."
"You can help yourselves...to this!"
Issac snarled as he conjured up a dark shadowy aura from the spellbook he possessed which took on the form of a winged monster that swooped down and captured the two spellcasters. Jonathan used a spell to give himself an immunity to mind control spells while Florence summoned a purple serpentine creature,  her pet snake William Snakespeare.  The two of them were determined to get their friend back but it seemed at this point that Izzac was back and badder than ever, and that's when Issac used a spell to turn Stephanie and her boyfriend Thomas into a pair of ghouls to be his assistants.  It was clear at this point that the evil warlock was fully in control now.
"I don't think there's anything we can do, Izzac is in there and in him."
"He's Issac and Issac is him. If we destroy him, we'll end up destroying Nathan as well."
'That's right...I think we should work on a different strategy.'  Jonathan instructed to Florence as he nodded in agreement.  Issac looked over at him and stroked his chin,  he cast one more spell that sealed the two spellcasters in an invisible web,  sticking them to the wall and making it unable to escape before using a mist spell to disappear into the night to go and find more people to use his dark powers on.  But not before Jonathan and Florence decided to use their combined magic attempts to go and work on a plan to stop him,  they ran over to the spell room and began their newest plan with the help from Jonathan's young nephew.   And thus with that things had heated up,  and Jonathan had to figure out a way to improve his magic so he and Lewis began to train with Florence, meditating and practicing new spells.   As for the new Issac, it wasn't long until he began his new plan, a plan to unleash some more dark magic upon the town, and he knew just where to start.
Like many good stories this is where the moral comes in...learning about magic can be a wonderful thing, especially if you know exactly how to do it and have a mentor who you adore with a passion, however be careful who you team up with or choose to be your mentor,  if your mentor is Issac...then you might as wel be in for a really spine-chilling time and once he has his spell placed on you there is no escaping,  dreams can be so many things and even if some have no purpose, dreams can be good for you and can teach you oh so much,  sometimes even if you don't like the memory attached to said dreams, those are important.  Dealing with trauma can be difficult but it gets easier over time,  remember...sometimes the monsters we see in books, movies and television can infact be our greatest allies as well as our enemies, don't forget that you are always safe from them in your bedroom when you're asleep.  Although if it's Issac, you might learn from him that he is not quite finished with you yet...after all, bedrooms are only temporary sanctuaries from monsters and while you may be safe during the day, during the night...you might need to take extra care.   Remember, dreams are fun and interesting to explore.  But bedrooms are merely temporary sancturies from nightmares  So sweet dreams and remember not to play with blood magic, it can be dangerous and addicting.y temporary sancturies from nightmares  So sweet dreams and remember not to play with blood magic, it can be dangerous and addicting.
