Dawn Bellwether TG/Horror theme
NOTE:
This is a Dawn Bellwether TG based on a dream I had last night and it involves a play, specifically a musical and the performers in it who have been turned into their roles via a curse of some kind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Sometimes actors can really get into character, but there is a dark secret behind these type of things that nobody knows. It is said that there is a musical that has every single actor in character throughout the whole thing, acting and talking as if they were that character and often doing what the character does. That's because the actors were cursed into turning into their characters after signing on, and some of them are trapped. Not trapped as in the sense that they want to get out of course but more like trapped in the scenario they are in ,as they in feel like they're stuck being the antagonist.
Nathan was investigating this case when he went to see the production in his half of the neighborhood, the production looked like a mix of the movie Oscar and a Rocky Horror-esque monster mash and the plot involved civilians being turned into monsters. He made his way across the stage and over to the backstage area, where he saw something unusual going on with the production manager.
The production manager was going through the list of cast members and seeing if there was any roles that hadn't been filled yet, there was one left...and it was for the role of the assistant of the scientist. The assistant or 'The Deformed Lab Assistant' was a role that used to belong to another cast member, but that cast member accidentally died on the set and their ghost now supposedly haunted the studio.
"Excuse me...sir.."
"Hello there.."
"Is this play really haunted?"
"Unfortunately yes...that seems to be the case."
"If it's haunted...why is it still going on?"
"No one knows...say, you wouldn't mind signing up for a role would you?"
"Of course not..."
"Here you go..."
He reached over for the sign up sheet and signed it, he then got a copy of the script and the costume, he picked up the cast list and examined it. He had been given the role of the assistant and he wasn't exactly happy about it, in fact it made him feel slightly guilty that he was taking over a role that was originated by a cast member that had passed away.
"Deformed Assistant, huh? Oh well, at least this character gets a song."
"Is there something wrong?"
"Not really..."
"I think you'll like the song your character sings though..."
"Hmmm...perhaps I will.."
"That's the ticket.."
Walking over to the stage he decided to rehearse the Assistant's song number, he got out the song sheets and started to sing along to the beat of the song. He was liking it so far, but he couldn't help but feel that something or someone was watching him. A ghost-like being wearing a black mask floated around as he haunted the stage, causing all sorts of havoc and causing items to become possessed.
"Alright, here we go! You stood in the belltower, but now you're gone. So who knows all the sights. Of Notre Dame, they've got the stars for gallant hearts, i'm the replacement for your part. But all I want to do is forget you, friend. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror! Won't leave me alone."
"Hey, you're pretty good.."
"Uhh...thank you. I hope this comes out alright. The first time in my life I keep the lights on to ease my soul. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror. Won't leave it alone. I don't know...is this the right thing to do?"
"Keep it up.."
He danced as the spirit circled around him, a shadowy aura started to surround him as tingling sensations jolting through his body, his skin slowly began to soften and smoothen as it lost imperfections, his arms slowly slenderized as his hands shrank down a bit before shifting into a half hoof-like shape. His costume contorted to fit around him as his chest and torso lengthened, there was an audible crack as his stomach slimmed down. On the former a pair of round formations swelled outwards and became what were commonly known as breasts.
"Rehearsing in your things I feel guilty. And retracing all the scenes of your big hit, oh god you needed the leading role. It wasn't me that made you go through. Now all I want to do is forget you, friend.. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror! Won't leave me alone. The first time in my life I keep the lights on to ease my soul. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror. Won't leave it alone. I don't know...is this the right thing to do?"
"You've really got some impressive vocals.."
The spirit manifested behind him while he was dancing, making him feel even more nervous than he was before and making him feel like the spirit was after him. He panicked as he saw his hips inflate and flare out, a short woolly tail sprouting out of his rear as his privates retracted while his body slowly covered itself in wool.
His legs lengthened while his feet slowly contorted to become half hoof-like just like his hands, in addition to this his back gained an arch to it - he panicked as he tried to dodge the spirit, not only did he feel guilty but also frightened and paranoid, the fact he was being haunted by this spectre was really creeping him out. He panicked as his shoulders folded inward and his hair elongated, growing longer as it turned white, his ears shifting to the top of his head and becoming ovine in appearance.
"Who calls me? On the other side of the street. And who taps me on the shoulder? I turn around and now you're gone. I've got a hunch that you're following to get your own back on me, so all I want to do is forget you, friend. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror! Won't leave me alone. The first time in my life I keep the lights on to ease my soul. Hammer Horror, Hammer Horror. Won't leave it alone. I don't know...is this the right thing to do?"
He ran around in circles as he danced, ducking the possessed props and trying to confront the spirit, the spirit giggled sinisterly as this was happening. His eyes turning from brown to a vivid shade of green as they widened, eyelashes blossoming around them as his features softened and feminized. His face slowly began to push out into a half ovid muzzle as his voice elevated in pitch, growing higher and also harmonizing. His voice in general becoming quite adorkable sounding to go with his now extremely adorable appearance, his or rather 'her' memories shifted, she was remembering that she was Dawn Bellwether and that she had been given the part of the 'assistant' in this little horror musical.
She looked at her script and looked at her costume as a few scars appeared on her face, she covered her face with a mask made to look like her regular face, and fully became in character as the scientist's slightly deformed but still adorkable assistant. Twirling around for a few seconds before singing her song a few more times.
"Thank you for giving me this part but I do have a few questions. The first question is...why is that the assistant is considered an antagonist in this play but isn't as villainous as the scientist? How come she gets treated like she's being put on trial?"
"Technically she is a tragic character who is rejected by society because of what happened which resulted in her disfigurations and scars. She is not villainous by any means, she's just being mistreated by the civilians and by her boss the scientist."
"That certainly explains a lot...but what about this scene?"
"Which one?"
"The scene with the sheep-girl in the tutu.."
"That scene will come into play later.."
"Oh..."
"Are you alright?"
"Well I am a little nervous, after all - this is my first stage debut in months..."
"I am sure that you'll do fine.."
Dawn sighed with relief as she continued rehearsing until she got the part right, she wanted her
performance to leave a big impression on the audience that was going to see the play tonight, a couple of hours later it was time for the big show to begin, the audience all took their seats as the various characters went on stage to perform.
And so with that the show went off without a hitch, with good reviews from even the meanest of critics, furthermore Dawn got praised for her role and got lots of positive reviews for her performance. As for what happened later, she found that maybe being the character she was in the play wasn't so bad after-all, after all she was one of the more sympathetic characters.
I guess it just goes to show that sometimes curses aren't as bad as they seem to be, sometimes they can be a good thing and sometimes they can provide you with your big break in showbiz. In that case, it's a blessing.
