WB Rants: Fair Use.
Werebelushi: Ladies and gentle-monsters, we are living in an era where we get our movies online and our video clips and tv shows as well. But there is a war going on in this world, a war over fair-use that is being caused by greedy sites like Youtube over fair-use. It seems that these sites do not know what fair-use actually is. As you know, a lot of moronic people tend to think that using music or clips from movies or tv shows is 'copyright infringement' which it isn't. It's technically qualified as fair use...I repeat...FAIR USE. For those who don't know...'fair use' counts under freedom of speech and thus is legal. The same problem seems to be plaguing Deviantart as well, although on Deviantart the 'no copyright images' rule always seem to contradict itself because the admins always seem to let several screenshots, recolors and photomanipulations based off copyrighted characters b...
