Queen Hayleyena
Description:
Queen Hayleyena is a royal hyena monster inspired by Shenzi from the Lion King and Queen Mousette from Blues Brothers 2000.
Unlike your typical spellcasting villainess, the power and strength of her magic comes from laughter since like a real hyena, she needs laughter in order to keep at her strongest and to survive.
Appearance:
She is 6'2 and is a female anthro hyena with greyish fur and black spots, she is very slender but has quite a bit of muscle on her, she possess a tail similar to a fox in addition to this.
She also has paw-like hands and feet as well as a hyena-like muzzle and ears, she has dark blue eyes that glow yellow whenever she is using her magic.
She wears a dark red elizabethan style gown and sports a crown on her head, her hair is black but rather long and with some braids.
Personality:
She is quite mysterious and sly as well as rather intelligent and sophisticated but she has a twisted sense of humour and tends to be a bit of a prankster.
Powers:
Like Queen Mousette she specializes in voodoo type magic including turning her victims/subjects into animals or sometimes into inanimate objects or making them sing and dance for her.
But also like Dr Facilier...she has a shadow that can move on it's own and she can also conjour up other shadows to help her.
Strategy:
The first time her victims/subjects see her, it is in shadow as she likes to slink about looking for them.
Sometimes they are followed by her shadow or one of the other shadows that she may have conjured up.
The chosen victims/subjects will follow the shadows until they reach the entrance of her palace.
Once they arrive at the palace she'll offer to do something for them with her magic, but only if they do something for her in return.
Sometimes this may include getting her something she needs for her spells, and if they don't comply she'll use her magic on them.
This may involve turning them into animals or inanimate objects, sometimes if she likes a particular victim/subject she may turn them into a hyena-like creature similar to her.
Or maybe she'll just use her magic to take their shadows away and have them do her bidding.
If the victim/subject is a male, she'll use her magic to put them into a love induced trance to be her husband.
If female she will make them her new heir if she ever gets defeated or dethroned.
Weaknessess:
Like a real hyena she needs laughter in order to breathe properly and to survive and to make sure that her magic stays at it's strongest.
Which is why she always laughs right after she talks.
If she runs out of laughter her powers get weaker and her magic begins to wear off, which means any transformed victims will recover and return to normal.
If she is defeated, several of the shadows she has conjured up while take her away into the shadow dimension where she'll be trapped until the next round.
However if there is a transformed female victim, she will become the new heir to the throne - which is indicated by them putting on her crown and beginning a transformation of their own.
